i agree maybe the first movie was.not advertise that's why the turn out of the movie is very low. They really did great in this movie esp jamie and lily

You said it, man. It's almost 8 years and I still can't get over all of them. I mean, they just fit their roles perfectly. I'd exchange myself in godfrey's deathbed if it means having a second movie😂
@@GD-nz1ir i don't agree. the guys who played alec lightwood and magnus in the shadowhunters series was the best. especially harry who played magnus in the series. the dude was born to play that character.
@@lia-yk3ef It's fine if you don't agree with us, we all have different preferences. And i didn't specifically say I didn't like the magnus in the series but at least they're still present if ever they decide to make another season for the series unlike making a movie that lacks the original casts.

The movie was ahead of its time. Not enough people appreciated it and the cast for what it was. They were the true embodiment of the characters in the books and if they had continued with all the other movies this would have been THE BEST FRANCHISE ever. Such an opportunity lost...
The entire TMI cast ensemble was brilliantly chosen...couldn't have picked better actors to play the roles! I've recently started reading the TMI books and adore them! It is such a shame there were significantly drastic changes made to the movie which was fairly entertaining to watch...I would have love to watch the sequel has the later books been made into movies. What fantastic chemistry among the TMI cast members...very amusing to watch them interact! Side note: Jamie Campbell Bower is truly a humble and down-to-earth guy. He's such a sweetheart! I was very lucky to meet him in person backstage after seeing Bend It Like Beckham musical back in June. He autographed the musical playbill and I took a photo with Jamie! It was such a surreal experience that I shall never forget!

can't believe i'm so late to this fandom. i watched shadowunters, then the movie and immediately fell in love with the cast, especially Kevin (alec) and Godfrey (magnus) and was absolutely heart broken to find out about his passing. wish they would've filmed a second movie.

@@teadora99 Lol movies are pretty much 90% promotion. This movie didn’t get promoted correctly so that’s why it didn’t do so good. The movie itself was pretty good.

it's 2020 and i am so upset that they didn't freaking make a sequel, like the tv cast does NOT have the same chemistry at all and they honestly are not the best actors. i am so shocked that shadowhunters has had 3 seasons. it's so bland and the acting is horrible, plus the actors just dont fit the book descriptions. dom is just so not jace-y its terrible!! and katherine is so awkward as clary. lilly and jamie had actual chemistry while they don't!!!! im so mad right now just thinking about how good the second movie would've been ugh.
I so agree this had the potential to be a big movie franchise but instead they made it a typical teen drama tv show as if we need anymore of those. The mortal instruments had the potential to be as big as the Harry potter movies. They also could have ended up doing the rest of the series in the shadowhunter chronciles as well if TMI movie series had made a lot of money and was a popular franchise because then people would want to see more.
Tv show Jace just looks like a creepy stalker and Clary is awkward I don’t enjoy her acting. I’ve been watching Jamie and Lily movies since I was child they both are good and they have more chemistry in the movie
i keep coming back to this video 6 years after i watched it and i still can’t get over how they never made that sequel. the chemistry between the entire cast is undeniable, especially jamie and robert. so upset to see this franchise die at the hands of its subpar tv show

This TMI cast was amazing, just great chemistry. Heartbreaking that there was never a 2nd film for city of ashes and worst of all they lost Godfrey Gao who played Magnus wonderfully! 🙏🏻
Forever wishing we had gotten all the books turned into movies and got to see who would play Maia, Lily, Raphael, little max, Maryse lightwood, Robert lightwood, and Sebastian Morgenstern.

That's no because they don't give her credit but rather because she was filming a movie in France then, so she couldn't be there with the rest of the cast
