I stopped using my high end armour in most matches because this type of weapon and dumdum ammo is all people are using this season. Losing tier 5 and tier 6 to some guy with a 50k kit and a bolt action gets old real fast.
tarkov never should have kneecapped the mosin, that bullet should put you down if it makes it through your armor, also ofc its going to one tap to the head its the most expensive bullet, i dont get his gripes here, "im shooting level 6 helmets and killing them" yeah bro thats headshots for ya
You cannot allow this in a HARDCORE extremely punishing game, back when Mosin was this insane, everyone and their whole family ran it with a scope and bullets in pocket with nothing else, camping everywhere and one tapping on CHEST. This literally ruined Tarkov for a whole lot of people. It was the best decision to kneecap that trash because mosinlings ruined it for the whole community. I do not understand how people still defend that shit lol. And I am not even playing for a looong while. ffs
Tbf tho, snb is tier 6, penetrating nd one shotting t4 sounds reasonable, it's the base damage that's high with it the penetration is not high, + the material of the armor matters too

In practicality, most people don't use the Mosin, the M24 is prefered. The ADS in mobile is slower than in PC, coupled that with the lowest ergo unless modded and the Mosin is just not fun to use. Think that they should add constant damage reduction rather than staying with the mechanic that they have for both version currently.
He meant for balance... Every noob can pull off a chest shot. This means you can't even tank 1 chest shot and outplay your enemy, and it is going to lead to people not moving at all....

Well seeing as the damage is higher in a different gun it's definitely a buff. And the mosin does not have a longer barrel than the svds so explain the damage difference when the ammo says 74 damage

tier 6 one taps tier 4. tier 4 and tier 3 ammo however do 81 base damage, u can one tap lv3 armor with LPS, and u can one tap naked guys with t3 ammo. also, you have to consider that 7.62x54 is probably the best caliber in the game tarkov included, so if u aim carefully you can one shot EVERYTHING to the face as long it doesnt exceed t4 with lps.
So after checking it out on the gun range, it looks bullets have two modifiers to their damage. The first being muzzle velocity and the second being what armor you are shooting at in correlation to the tier of your ammo. The higher your muzzle velocity the higher the damage you will be doing with the bullet, which does make some sense. The next thing that matters are your bullets, if you are over penning enemy armor (tier 6 ammo vs class 4 armor) you will be doing extra damage. The opposite is also true (Tier 4 armor vs class 4 armor), you'll be doing less damage than the tier 6 bullet even though you have higher base damage since your bullet isn't having as easy as a time flying through enemy armor. Overall, pretty cool way to handle armor tbh

What's the point of having bolt actions if they are not for 1 tap? Might as well use a damn cheap Sks if they do 2-3 shots before they kill. Any human beings would be DEAD getting shot by SNB or 7N, let alone .338. That would leave a hole in your chest with the size of a fricking baseball.
Tarkov is slowly turning more into an arcade game and away from realism. Generally, the one who hits first has the advantage, not who has the better armor and gun who laser beam you after all your bullets get soaked up by their armor. They should introduce bruising and blunt damage.
The worst part is that he's complaining that a SNIPER round would kill someone with any kind of helmet. These extraction shooters are getting ruined by these streamer Chads. Smh

The scope sway is crazy on mobile. It starts at x5 and above for most guns but for bolt actions and carbines, the scope sway is hard to control at x4 Its like trying to shoot while reloading, but in pc it seems to be more stable as he just spammed quick scope on that target dummy thats 50meters away. Also all bullets one taps neck and face, and has a chance to go through face shields. Chest one taps are rare but technically most of them are not damage done by the bullets, it’s often the bleed and fall damage that insta down you/ kill you since you got no chest. Painkillers may negate this though

Yea I agree with you, that bullet SNB is like t6 or t7 (I forgot) ofc it will penetrate t4 armor except like a freaking dum dum ammo that ammo especially for raw body (no armor) that's why dum dum is the best to destroy legs (or maybe he just thinking ABI is the same mechanic thing as EFT, so that's why he didn't want to believe that he got 1 shot in the chest with that ammo)
Landmark you need to check the weapon stats and the bonus that the barrel gives, some weapon pieces gives extra damage to the ammo. Tip: I think their is a longer barrel available for the SVDS, I think that is the missing piece for you to have a semi-auto marksman rifle completly broken. 😂 Plus: "it is way harder on mobile to headshot". Bro, never saw mobile players playing, all Im gonna say is we can react faster than what you think😂 If you ar complaining of SNB wait until AX-50 is added.
Mosin is broken on mobile too, that problem exists entire year on mobile too, we were killing T7 thermals with mosin and 10k loadout on night storm mode event, I personally have about 5 thermal kills in single week with just mosin. 8 from 10 streamers (mobile streamers) are frustrated about stuff like that, because they are complaining about it for almost year and nobody cares from LevelInfinite and like they ban people randomly like, I've heard from many people around me they got banned because they played with random (auto matchmaking) and they got banned for entire year, and same thing happened to several streamers too, like "Kivi" one of the mobile Arena Breakout streamer stopped playing game for almost a month, because they banned him for playing with a "hacker" and that hacker was also streamer playing from iOS (iPAD) with Video evidence that there were no cheat or anything involved and there are lots and lots of problems that you'll see when they'll launch game, so if you are thinking this company handles way better than BSG does, you'll be very dissapointed when it goes global and those types of shit still exists and they don't care about community opinion nor streamers etc. also first death was a desync, that's one of the biggest problem even on mobile it existed for entire year, it's a peek lag when you peek and then unpeek and they still see you because of desync and even in death reply, there was no visual of you, it's just shots were fired and you died kinda bugs, I was so excited when I heard it's lauching on PC, and now I see same shit happens on PC version too and I play daily and same terrible handling of connections and everything, I hoped that PC has much more power and they would not have same problems, but it seems it's just their servers are supper terribly optimized, lobby is laggy on PC and it's same on mobile. so people say it's beta and it'll be better on launch, but how I don't understand, it was same on mobile in beta... and it's launched for year already and they didn't fix it. so I don't expect them fix it on PC, they never do so... that's just sad, that their developers made really good product and LevelInfinite management is just ruining it, same as BSG and nikita doing with Tarkov.

If the Mosin gives a 1.15 multiplier, then with the base damage of SNB being 74, the damage dealt would be 85.1. If devs drop SNB damage by 1 point to 73, the damage dealt with the Mosin's 1.15 multiplier would be 83.95. 85 damage dealt one taps to the chest, 84 does not. Thoughts?
This is what I think they will end up doing (hopefully) but they would need to go a few points lower. The shot will most likely cause a bleed and it will then need to be healed almost instantly to prevent a 1 shot death. They would need to drop it by 5 points in my opinion. Best case would be nerfing the damage and limiting the ammo to a set amount per reset. Limiting the availability combined with a slight nerf is the only way to avoid a mosin meta of everyone just camping naked with mosin on forbidden zone.
have you seen a body shot with a normal 5.56 round to the chest? The said ammo in this video will blow everything you have and turns it into baby powder. There would be no realism if you survive a round like that. Here is that we have another streamer crying like a baby cause he lost and got dabbed on, on his stream, that's all.
The ballistic damage of this game look like the one in call of duty. People are just "walking panzer" now. The amount of shots that you can survive with a good armor is totally absurd.
I own a moson. They are beasts. My long barrel is most amazingly accurate. The Russian high velocity steel ap core rounds will go through about 1/3 in hardend steel plate.
This gun is not a problem in mobile. Very rare to get 1 tap chest shots. The gun is super slow and is outclassed by so many more guns. You aim for the head with Mosin, not the chest. Arm hit boxes block like 1/3 or more chest shots alone.

Its a beta test of the pc version, it should be available for everyone also it can be downloaded via steam. If it isnt available, then maybe the beta test already ended.
its in closed beta at the moment. You can get a key when they do twitch drops. Game is still going. They will release open beta some time within the couple few months, if not sooner, then everyone can play without a key for free.
On mobile it’s the same u just have to shoot on the part the armor not covering. U can heatshot a t4 helmet if u shoot on ear or the neck. This game is crazy
I assume SNB is better for sniping while 7N31 is better for quick-fire weapons (the SVD) going against higher tier chest armor. Rapid-fire 2-taps to the chest.
brother i have found the broken meta sj16 with best ammo doesx 84 damage thru lvl 6 armor and 1 shots anything. mosin wont one tap above 4. sj16 is 84 damage with pen thru the best armor and one taps any helmet
It’s not broken it’s realistic 🤣. It may be 74 damage, but different barrels add or decrease damage just like IRL. No one runs T4 on mobile anyways because we all know that Mosin Timmies can 1 tap us.

I just want to say to people getting mad or hell even landmark like you are dealing with what we have dealt with for yearsss of playing these games. You still easily have a 55-60% success rate. For us normal players I’m sorry the 80% rate your used too. I think a 50+ rate is what balance looks like in these just making cash. Why can't you have that? if someone is running a certain type of armor that is inferior to another person's type of ammo, then 1 taps to the chest are possible. What's wrong with that? It just means you needs to run level 5 armor. if someone is willing to spend $2k per round on lvl 5 ammo then the counter is spending enough money to counter that. which would be lvl 5 armor.
Good on Tony for calling out a major issue with the game. You cannot have cheap bolt actions with ammo that is only ~3K a round 1 tapping nearly anyone with a 300K+ kit on. There will only be rat mosin squads camping around. NEED to restrict SNB/AP ammo.

A bolt action will have a higher velocity than a semi auto. Especially if it has a longer barrel. The chamber is closed and doesn't cycle. All that pressure goes one way unlike a semi that uses gases to cycle the gun. People moan games aren't real enough then moan when it doesn't benefit them.
Actually, that’s not true. Bloke on the range did a video and the conclusion was the kinetic energy loss is minimal to nonexistent. In some cases, the semi automatic rifle had higher fps. Also, a recoil operated gun and blowback gun are semi auto and no gas is redirected to actuate the firearm, just the recoil

I comment this same thing on the other video thibking it was this one I built this same gun on molbile and tested it out. And it wouldnt even 1 tap a chest shot on tier2 armor. I dont remeber for sure but even on tier1 it wouldnt work. So they ethier fix both since this vidro. Or they messed up on infinate. And it shouldnt 1 tap on chest and about the head maybe idk with tier 6

I don’t understand why this is “broken”. What’s so special about level 4 armor? Just run level 5-6. You don’t run level 1-3 so don’t use level 4. The price of a lvl 4 vs lvl 5 armor is not too much.
Especially SNB rounds, that shit is going to penetrate LV4 body armor and put you down, also there is no helmet on the planet that will take that round, hell even smaller rounds will penetrate the best helmets and put you down.
