3:54 the reason it feel easier is because you think touching the spike anywhere kills you so you jump too early but here you jump perfectly because the hitboxes are accurate

if you ever need to know this for the future there is a feature in steam where you can "verify the integrity" of the game files that basically resets all of them to their default. You could make a copy of all the game files you're actually using and then use that feature, and then make a copy of all the default files and then replace your files back to how you had them but now you have a copy of the default files.

I hope KingSammelot Realized after this video that you can make strokes be only on the inside of the sprite in photoshop. This would have saved the hassle of the white outline for the spike hitbox.

Cool textures, but you should’ve removed icon rotation. Player hitboxes are static, so if you’re icons rotate it’ll just look like you’re dying on thin air when jumping around stuff.
