Help me out, WHO can afford this? Seriously, what kind of income do you need to qualify for a loan on this thing? I know very little about boats, but actually would love to get one. I FULLY expected this boat to cost around $45k-55k. I've wanted to own a boat for a very long time, but could never afford it... I guess nothing has changed. In the immortal words of Felix Dennis, "If it flies, floats or fornicates, always rent it. It's cheaper in the long run." I'm in no way bashing this boat, it's beautiful, I'm just truely shocked that 1) People can afford it and 2) they are actually selling at this price. Thanks for the video LS!! I just subscribed.

Considering this was last year, yes that's a decent price, in early 21 I payed just about 80k for a 239 SeaPro brand new, with a 300 Suzuki and a trailer, my boat last year was listing for 105k.....

hmm got my 2022 Sea Chaser 24HFC with twin 140's on trailer, tax and all out the door for just under 90K. Mine, short of the windlass, is optioned as full as it can be. The Tidewater, is a nice looking boat just don't know if that's such a great deal.

The bulls bay 230 even in 2023 is 74,000 with hard top and a 250 AND A TRAILER TOO

My guess is most people with take a loan for this thing and be in debit for years. If the average person can not buy a boat in cash its not what I would call reasonable. Figure you need a truck, a car for wife a house and all the other crap the average person has I would say Most the boats you see on the water are not paid for and the people can hardly afford the fuel to go fishing.

I "boat" more than I "fish" ... I'd buy a C-Dory 22' ... Then knock off the worthless bow rails and put a 24v trolling motor..... Good for calm days out to 5 miles. Inshore anywhere. Drafts 8".... And is a very VERY decent "day on the water" boat. Can easily be air-conditioned with a 5000 btu widow unit and generator.... It can sleep 4.... In Florida? 1 - 2 hour storms pop up in 15 - 30 minutes..... If you are an "over the top" off shore fisher-MAN... You ain't buying this boat anyway. Anyone that would buy this boat would be better off with a C-Dory 22' or 23'....

$95k!?!?! Not affordable in my book. I was expecting $60-$70k!! Current inflation is definitely reigniting the "3 F" Rule - Always remember: If it can F@#k, Float or Fly, then it's cheaper to rent than it is to buy!

My tidewater 220cc with electronics and trailer was 56k in 2019. This is insane. And the layout was better back then too.

I like the layout of my tidewater 220 CC better, especially in the stern. Also, 95k might be a bargain today, but a year and a half ago I paid under 70k with a trailer. Boat prices in general are out of control. I wonder if these companies realize we're going into a global recession ?? I bet some companies go bankrupt. Just my 2 cents worth. Don't kill me for my opinion. I do love my tidewater btw

My brother just bought a new $40k pontoon boat, i was really suprised at how simple and easy everything was. I feel like you get so much more for $40k with a car. Why are these boats so expensive. I plan on buying a old center console with a blown engine, rewiring it myself and repowering

People who haven't been to a boat show in pass couple of years are in for a rude awaiting. The prices on new boats have gone up. I purchased my 210 CC Tidewater in December of 2020 from the folks over in Fort Walton ( great people to deal with). The 150 hp is way more than enough to push her along. So far I have found the Tidewater to be worth the cost. Grant you it isn't a Granny White or Everglades, but you do get a lot bang for your buck.

Mortgage 30 years, school loans 20 years, car loan 5 years, boat loan 20 years. If you want a boat buy yourself an older boat for 15k. But a new outboard engine. You're good to go.

This right here is EXACTLY why the used boat market is just as out of control as the new boat market. And, that applies to everything else (cars, motorcycles, etc...). In the matter of two years, everything doubles???? Go ask someone.....ANYone, if their salary has doubled in the last 2-3yrs....and, that's assuming they didn't lose their job altogether. *Here's what will disgust most fair-minded people... Most of the issues that caused these price hikes (i.e. Covid related supply chain), are no longer issues. It's just that these greedy, corrupt, pigs never dropped their prices. Lumber and drywall was like that. Now, all the shelves at Home Depot are stocked full of lumber and drywall, but the prices never dropped. THAT's a problem....and a big one.* So, if people are still making the money they made from 2020, who can afford a boat like this? What bank will finance this? The housing market imploded in 2011 over VERY similar reasons (i.e. financing a $300K home to someone who makes $40K per year). The math doesn't add up. And, it won't add up in this industry either. This is going to happen to boats if they don't un-f##k this industry. But....I digress. It seems to be a very nice boat. *P.S. Not knocking Livin' Salty (I'm a big fan of his videos). I'm just sayin'.* This country is in for a financial reckoning of proportions I don't think we've ever seen. Sea Hunt 234 is about $20k less with trailer and electronics done from the factory. A 95k boat with nothing on it and nothing to move it around with and a payment of around $700 per month with a ridiculous interest rate is not what I would consider to be an affordable boat. I understand everything is much more now. But I bought a brand new Sea Hunt 234 for a hell of a lot less than $95k and was on the water the next day with everything ready to go. I guess they were not at that show. Maybe because they have nothing overpriced like the others that were present and couldn’t sacrifice a boat to put in the show due to their lack of needing to be there because their plant is busy building boats.
