I have an enclosed trailer but I also have show cars we take to shows but we're just doing shows. When just traveling, I haul extra stuff in the trailer as well. If you use your trailer, you possibly could take the Tesla, but then your weight will be up there.

They are a good product. I have a Blue Ox I bought used then had Blue Ox rebuild and certify it at a FMCA rally where they were set up. I had the dealer install my baseplate and lights when I bought the car. So it came ready to hook up and go.

Great review, MJ and Izzy, glad to know you have had no issues flat towing your Mustang. We have flat towed a Jeep Wrangler with the Blue Ox tow bar and base plate going on 6 years with no issues. I really like the simplicity and ease of setup. The wear and tear were a concern in the beginning, but also the toad getting pretty dirty, especially when driving through campgrounds that are not paved. After our last trip the Jeep got so dirty you couldn't tell what color it was! Trailering is certainly easier on the toad, but pulling a trailer has its own issues - not as simple to hookup and depending on the campground, what do you do with it once you are there? Lol, if I had a 911, I would want it in an enclosed trailer! We once saw a guy when camped in St. Augustine, Fla., who had a Newmar King Aire pulling a painted-to-match stacker trailer, a huge rig! I have no idea what was in the trailer, but it was a very impressive rig!

We just traveled from central Florida to Michigan with our new NSA tow bar and had no issues. We did have one problem but that was not the fault of the tow bar. We planned to stop in a camp ground in central Tennessee. The county road leading to the camp ground was about a lane and half wide. The road had banks on both sides that were about 6 feet high with a ditch on both sides between the road and the banks for drainage. As we came up a small hill there was farm equipment taking up the whole road heading toward us being pulled by a pickup truck. The pick up driver got mad when we told them we can not back up. He thought we were just not able to handle our equipment and we should just back up. He was in no mood to listen to us trying to explain that we could not back up. After some yelling on his part, he was able to pull his equipment off the road missing our motorhome by less than an inch. We told him our only choice was for him to go around or we would have to unhook. He was in a hurry and wanted no part of that. This was no fault of the NSA tow bar as all tow bars I know of can not be backed up. We are very care to avoid situations where we might have to back up. In this case the farmer did not have people ahead of him to block the road so others could get out of his way. The camp ground was about 300 yards ahead and when we got there the camp ground owner said we should have called him and he would have come to take care of things. He is about 6’8” and built like a bull. Just be warned, stuff happens you can not plan for or control.

We started camping in 2012. We do not full time, but bought one when we bought the Jeep to go behind and double as my winter work vehicle. Has worked well for us all this time! And I can do it all by myself.(2 people are easier but not necessary)

I just wanted to say thank you for all the informative videos y’all do on pretty much everything RV related. My wife and I are planning on buying a class c motorhome in the near future. We have ordered a Ford Maverick hybrid and will be flat-towing it. So this was definitely a good video to see in preparation for that. Thank you guys and keep up the good work. We went with a Blue Ox bar and baseplate & Stay-N-Play brake system. We’ve towed our 2014 Equinox a little over 38K miles without issue. I absolutely love the Braking system, just throw a switch to turn on, and another switch to disable the car accessory fuse and go. Proportional braking and I like having the breakaway feature as well. Does the surge brake engage when using engine braking on a steep descent without using the foot brake? Not sure I’d like that if so.

Older class a s are great my 2001 Winnebago adventurer is crazy reliable. 80k miles zero break downs . Slides are hydraulic. . We are currently looking to upgrade to a diesel pusher . .. preferably a 2013. Thru 2018 Winnebago 45 rl .. a 4 slide unit. Bath and a half .. crazy you can’t buy a used 45rl. As cheap as you can buy a 2022 any manufacturer for the same length rigg….

We’ve had ours a bit over 2 years now and probably 15-20k miles and still think it’s great. Never have had an issue and so easy to use. We pull a Jeep Wrangler with blue ox baseplate as well. We use it with our Renegade SuperC. Btw, we have both the black and charcoal RV tshirt. Love them!

NSA Ready Brute Elite with Ready Brake and emergency break away setup towing our Bronco Raptor with 2023 Jayco Seneca XT 35L. We love it, but wish NSA still made the custom aluminum clevises.

I noticed in the video that it looks like the breakaway cable is zip tied pretty tightly to the tow bar arm. I read in the install instructions, or saw in one of the pictures/drawings that the zip ties should be loose.

We have a tow dolly, That we tow our Toyota camry. It is some what of a pain, 20 minutes to set it all up. Lower cost, purchased a used dolly and used our existing front wheel drive car.

I use a whole blue ox. Flatau set up and I added the Air Force One air breaking because I have air brakes on my 2000 Monaco Dynasty. I love the whole set up.

We too have the NSA Ready Brute Elite with Ready Brake and are very happy with it. We love the simplicity of no electronics or annoying boxes in the tow vehicle. We did recently add a turnbuckle to the brake cable which makes having to do adjustments super easy.

yes, flat towing. I have had and still use Air Force One with a Sterling Tow Bar for the past ten years, over 50,000 miles, no problem. Never would have what you have for a towing system.

Love the NSA tow bar / Ready Brake. Great video and information. One tip I can give from a mistake I made, ensure you give enough slack in your brake cable. I typically don't read directions and if I do I may tend to convert it to my way of thinking.. Having said that i had my cable on with just a little slack, not the recommended 2' drop. From their website... "Adjust the cable leaving enough slack that there is about a 2 inch drop inthe center. DO NOT MAKE THE CABLE TIGHT or it will pull your brakes down the entire time. I learned this the hard way. After about 5000 miles towing like that I had to replace all 4 brake pads, discs and calipers... Not fun. But HEY, I wont do that again.. LOL. The system is awesome, works great, simple to hook up and get on the road.
