My ex’s mom is a Karen. Her mom yells at and beats her and her 2 younger brothers almost daily. She has also been divorced 3 times. All in all, it sucks to be the husbands and children of Karen’s.
My mom is a respitory therapist and that is actually a real way they figure out how hard of a time they are breathing. Seriously if they are screaming enough she will sometimes just tell them they can leave.

Idk why they use asthma as an excuse. I have asthma and i can breath fine almost as if I am not wearing a mask even though I am. Could just be me, but wearing masks should NOT affect your breathing. ESPECIALLY if you are SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS.

Been working at a Trader Joe’s for over 3 years, through the pandemic, and man do we get some crazy stuff. We’re the most popular store in Washington so we get plenty of Karen’s coming through every day. Same woman showed up 2 days in a row and the same cop showed up to deal with her and straight up laughed as he walked up on day 2. Crazy people out here man.
About a month ago a woman went into a sermon about why i am going to die for still wearing a mask. Its been 4 years, lady. Should i clear up my schedule for my impending death day? 😂 She doesn't come into our store very often but when she does she never ever stops talking to whoever she can get to listen. He has enlarged lungs and the force needed to inhale combined with the loss of lung tissue elasticity puts him at constant risk of a collapsed lung. Imagine inhaling through a straw and the tightness you feel in your lungs, but that’s always when you just sit doing nothing. The added force needed to pull air with a mask on is too much and would collapse his worse lung. My sister has a friend who got hit by a truck a decade back which pushed broken ribs through his lungs causing collapse and scarring, he has the same problem. I suspect many people who’ve had collapsed lungs before run this extra risk of collapsing it again. It’s not something most people with lung problems face, but it definitely exists. Thankfully my dad doesn’t have to do groceries, but my sister’s friend does and it’s incredibly scary. Neither would be likely to survive if they caught the virus. Neither can scream like this lady either though. She should visit a therapist sometime since she seems more troubled with panic/emotional issues.

The breed of Karens like the one at Trader Joe’s is the most cringe to me, specifically because of the “I have a breathing problem my doctor says I can’t wear a mask” nonsense. I have Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma, breathing at about 38% level in compared to an average 90-100% and my pulmonologist says absolutely wear a mask because this virus will most likely kill me do to my breathing problem. I’m Latino, but I can pass as white (I’m weirdly pale for whatever reason), and I honestly can’t image how heartbreaking it would be if someone told me to go back to my country, despite being born in Canada (which is where I live.) I would have called the police for vandalism if that's the case. Pulling out the gun would be careless, especially if the safety is off and I'm pointing the gun at someone. The gun needs be lowered for safety and legal reasons. A lot of people dont understand these procedures and your suppose to get away from the suspects when waiting for the police to come. If they follow and possibly have the means to harm you, then the lowered gun can come up only if they start going at you and your unable to keep the distance. Staying in the car is recommended as well. There can be more said, but that's what I know. Common sense would help too.

If you have a breathing problem and catch a virus, that effects your LUNGS, then your breathing problems are about to get a whole lot worse. Edit: After doing a quick search I found that the CDC and AAFA suggest masks NOT be worn by those with breathing problems, such as severe asthma and breathing distress. If you truly are unable to wear a mask for health reasons then I apologize if you took offense to my comment. I was under the assumption that it didn’t pose a risk, that was my bad. That being said, if you ARE capable of wearing a mask and are LYING about having a breathing problem as an excuse to not wear one because you’re an entitled bitch, then you can go straight to hell.

Maybe she has difficulty breathing through her nose. If you breath into a cloth mask through your mouth, the material quickly becomes soaked in the moisture from your breath, and then it becomes difficult to breathe at all, so not being able to breathe well through your nose is a problem for mask wearers. People like that should just wear plastic visors instead of cloth masks, and generally be more respectful to people who are pro-mask, even though they were yelling at her, but your reasoning that "She doesn't have a breathing problem because she's shouting" is flawed.

The one with gun was actually taken out of context. The people filming were the aggressors and threatening the other couple because they got bumped into, a longer video shows the white couple apologizing and trying to leave while the people filming were continually escalating the issue and the video you see. That being said, it still wasn't right for her to pull said gun on someone, even if they are pregnant. Yes the lady who pulled the gun got arrested and her gun taken away, but she was released shortly after IIRC

They were blocking her from accessing her vehicle and we have seen what happens in those situations sometimes. Fuck the rats she was in the right pulling out her firearm and was disciplined enough to know how to handle it.

I haven't watch the video so I wouldn't know the circumstance, but if what people are saying is true (camera lady supposedly blocked their car and threatened violence), then pulling a gun out to deter further conflict is probably justified under federal law.
