Today's Apex tale is about none other than Caustic, who was thought to be rendered useless after the nerf to his gas traps. However, the strength of this legend lies not in the once invulnerable noxious tactical contraptions, but the chaos caused by the bunker tactics. And while many people would like to delete Caustic from Apex altogether, I say that..well, I agree - unless I'm playing him! Some fun games in World's Edge and Storm Point today, but could I bring home the win..?

Trust me mate you're not the only one of us having net issues. Not only are we 160+ms behind, but for most of the guys I play with we have like 1 in every 5 games just go to shit with heavy packet loss and lagging for the first 2-5 mins of the match. If you know how to recognise it before drop you can drop far to compensate - look for a very high IO ratio, specifically on the in side. If I see 90+ in the dropship, we land with 1 other squad tops. That said, this season has had net issues for a lot of people, definitely not as good as seasons 9-11.

I don’t really know if it’s still a problem for you guys, but I fixed all my rubber-banding and lags with a tool called ExitLag. I’m not sponsored or anything, but my packet loss was so bad I almost quit Apex and that tool brought back a lot of fun for me being able to play normally.

Feels like everyone complains about caustic being to good and I don’t get it, he’s good but I’ve never had a problem with him since the last big nerf. I will admit he’s maybe a bit strong when fighting out of zone, the damage of the zone and gas together is a scary thing to deal with.

The problem is that people cant make the difference between being OP and being annoying. Caustic is annoying, far from OP. Since the last 2 nerfs, it is near impossible to kill anyone with gas. Yes the gas slows people down, but they have to be close while Valk and Fuse can do the same thing from far away. ex-Caustic main...

I wish all my random teammates are like you Rag Tagg. People who are good team players and not toxic. I play in Asian servers and most of them aren't toxic but most of them go running solo and die and leave. I always die trying to run to them to help them because whenever they get knocked my first instant thought is always "I need to help them get back up or they will leave". Really frustrating 😕

This is the inspiration I needed to take the plunge and go back to my roots. I started Apex with Caustic. His aesthetic and personality meshed with the style I give my create-your-own characters. The mad scientist. I loved it. But since my hiatus from the game, returning in S9, I’ve spent time with the whole gambit, including Stank Daddy, but now that I’ve been keeping up with my challenges I have nothing left to do until next season but just play. With my squad we have an Ash and Rampart main. I think I’ll be dropping BH to take on my favorite personality again. Thank you Rag Tagg for the inspiration!
