Andrew Hiller is the Monster Truck of RU-vidrs in the fitness space. He "rolls over" and crushes the charlatans -- and we are grateful for it! Nice job, Andrew.
Thanks for making this video. I hadn’t taken the time to do meaningful diligence on their product so appreciate you doing it for me. Guess I’m done buying. Also, “10 pairs of shirts”. 😂 That would be 20 shirts. Must be the C4 talking.
One of the many reasons we created Cowbell! Full Transperancy, no "proprietary blend". Lots of the good stuff. We didn't put in tiny amounts of ingredients just so we can put it on the label. Side note: I watched the whole video! =-).
We are definitely going through that period of CrossFit Athletes cashing in on sponsors, especially those they never used before. I was laughing at Fraser and Dream on Facebook.
As always very well put together thoughts. 99% of supplement companies are absolute trash, they put exaggerated claims and just like you said their ingredients do more harm than good.
I recently switched over to swolervine's products after hearing Ali on sevan's podcast.. and from the stuff I've used previous it's some of the best.. I don't get gassy with their protein, and i've trade out a lot of their other stuff from the performance bundle. Not sure i've noticed a difference.. but the biggest one i've noticed is the protein for sure. Took a look at podium's and the amount of grams per scoop is at almost 50% ratio.. plus they have a bunch of crap in their product such as palm oil among other things.. This video sold me on spending a little more but getting higher quality products.
I use to be a legionnaire for them. They make you watch a few videos on their supplements. They state their protein is superior on how they make the powder. It’s been a while but they used the example of cooking meat on the grill at 500 degrees for a short period of time which is most companies. They extract the protein at a lower temperature like a crock pot which takes a lot longer. Claimed it’s higher quality that way.
@@hillerfit that is a good question, that I never asked in one of the legionnaire zoom calls 7 years ago lol. I sadly could not find the email with the link to the course for you. But that example is the thing I remembered they told us to share with people for why their protein cost more than other brands.
Their chocolate peanut butter level one protein tastes like a dog turd rolled in chocolate powder. I used to be a legionnaire as well and realized they aren’t superior.. not worth the money
Theres a brand called Earth Fed Muscle that i use. One of their products "Truly Buff" has a 30gram scoop serving, 27grams of protein. I really wish their products would take hold in the CF community. Ive used them for a couple years and love everything. They have the shortest ingredients list on everything they sell ive ever seen in the supplements space. #NotASponsor #NotALegionnaireOrWhateverItIs
I used to promote them but they get most of their money from the “influencer package” where you have to spend at least $215 a month on their products to promote. I knew it already but still did it for a while. If you make money from it, it’s worth it but most don’t. So, it s a scam and their products are crap.
I started using 1st phorm last year when my friend became a legionnaire, and now I understand why I felt like I was in perpetual dirty bulk the whole time. 😒
They contacted me and promised a lot.. sent me supps.. and said "omg ud be a great fit for our elite contest!! But we want people to buy/use our products first!" I took one look at their ingredients, and remembered my experience with FNX and said fuck nope.
@elvis6190 long story short... they infiltrate popular accounts to message their followers AS THOSE people to make them feel important as an ambassador.... when really its to get them to buy their products to then promote to their friends as free advertisement. So the followers think they're talking to this person that they idolize when really, it's somebody from fnx. I wouldn't be surprised if 1st phorm did something similar. I have noticed they have a lot of similar styles.
Not going to lie this one hurt! I am a die hard 1st Phorm fan. They really do stand by the 110% money back guarantee. I ordered my wife some leggings, they were sold out by the time they filled my order. They refunded me, told me to purchase whatever I wanted on them. ( I got hers on sale for like 40% off.) I replaced them with more expensive leggings. When I got my packages they had put about $75 worth of free extras in there. Energy drinks, protein bars, shaker cup, meat sticks. Their customer service is on top of it. They even send a hand written letter thanking me with almost every purchase. BUT I love the company so much I never paid attention to the ingredients…. I just might have to try out swollvereen. Colten got a discount code? 😂😂 Anyways. All in all, I really do love the company, they really are out there to truely help people. But thanks for pointing out the ingredients.
I used Swolverine and stopped due to a terrible customer service experience. I switched to 1st Phorm and their customer service has been great. It may be an inferior product, but I’d rather not deal with the rude people at Swolverine.
Swolverine needs to come out with a caffeinated pre for the 5am crews! Been on the high-stim from gorilla mode, and one scoop of that get me right 🤷♂️✌️
@@Xxxtra_Sloppy I have always like that there is.... Bucked Up..... Woke AF.... and BAMF..... all the same thing, with various caffiene per serving lol
1st Phorm has always been sketchy any company that pushes ambassadors and pretty much anybody can become one is not a company for me. A good product sells itself and doesn’t need people peddling their stuff like a drug dealer.
I started to buy in to the whole 1stphorm thing a couple months ago. They are starting an Outdoor Division of the company that seems to be based around archery hunting and are looking for people to be the face of division. I did a phone interview, immediately could tell the person I was talking to had very little experience or knowledge of hunting or archery. I watched the videos they posted and immediately could tell the people they had shooting bows in the video were beginners. I also did the interview for the legionnaire program which is 100% a scam and pyramid scheme. I got out quick. It sad they take advantage of people.
@@hillerfit MLM/pyramid scheme company. They sell skincare, cosmetics, and nutritional supplements. But it basically runs off of influencer marketing similar to what you portrayed in this video
They market heavily to health coaches, but I have never used their stuff for the too many weird ingredients for high $$$ reason. I would not pay them to be a legionairre. Reminds me of a certain disease outbreak. 😂
The Legionnaire program is an actual joke. They target people who don’t have a following knowing they’re going to be spending that monthly price without getting recruitment under their code. Everyone and their mother could be a legionnaire as long as you pay their $115 monthly fee lol
Thank you Andrew! This is the content that is much needed in fitness, sorting out the lying trash from legit good companies. Especially for new people to the scene like when you were 16. As companies get more creative on how they deceive the public, we need more from the likes of you to call them out.
I've never purchased 1st Phorm. If anything, all the annoying copy/paste responses with a discount codes for that person when asking for recommendations sealed it for me. The whole brand feels slimy from the get go.
A lot of their products say not to use if you have thyroid disease...even their product that is specifically designed to help thyroid function! I have Hashimoto's so I didn't use it.
Thanks for the video Hiller. Sad to see how crappy their products are, only because I am a huge fan of DB and KEO who rep their products all the time. Luckily, I never was influenced enough to spend my money on them.
Andy Frisella also created and promoted 75 Hard, which sounds like a cool concept on the surface, but is actually really unhealthy behaviours and habits for anyone that isn’t already a disciplined athlete. And while it’s “free”, the intent is to promote his personal brand and 1st phorm supplements, which is somewhat devious but there are lots of people searching for “something” and “proving to yourself you can deprive yourself from any life’s pleasures while using zero scientific backing to validate this will make you feel more like a man”. He’s a con artist that masquerades as an “alpha male”.
Please, enlighten me on what part of 75 Hard is unhealthy behaviors and habits? Do it.. go through the list of daily things you do on 75 Hard and let me know.
@@d33ve the problem with it is, while the concept is great. for someone who is just starting out they go through the 75?hard and then after they are so burned out they revert to their old habits and it creates the yo yo dieting model.
@@Quadslikero Are you speaking for the millions of people that 75 Hard has helped get out of a health and fitness rut? From the looks of it, you've never read anything about 75 hard, the requirements, and what happens after 75 Hard. I've trained several people that did 75 Hard, some made it, some failed. All of them came out with better habits and more discipline.
@@d33ve I’ve done it. So yes I know. While, yes it has helped some people. And the concept of it and idea behind it is great. It has some cons and I’ve seen it do the opposite of creating good habits for people.
I was wondering this about Wykie Etsebeths Channel. His editing is awesome, his content isn't always that interesting but he has like 80k subs and his videos only usually get a couple of thousand views
Surprised that you didn't mention that toxic and unnecessary titanium dioxide additive! I would never consume that 1st Phorm protein drink, even for free.
I appreciate these videos but I will say you can use similar logic hunting preworkouts. You’ll find yourself better options than Swolverine and c4. I agree those cans are tasty though.
Everything about CF - other than people getting fitter in an affiliate - is the lamest thing on Earth. The Games, the "sponsors" - it's just so cringe.
I enjoyed the video - good points. I will say 1sr Phorm is a local company here. So at all the different events. They have great beef sticks. Protein bars taste awesome. The energy drinks can taste a little syrup like, but cold and after a seriously exhausting event they hit the spot. Don’t drink them like I would a Coke… only for recovery. The protein bottle I picked up is a vanilla flavor and okay. So I generally agree with the video - I wouldn’t doubt people are making fake comments. The products themselves are good if you think of the whole spectrum of items. I think better protein can be had, but the bars. Beef sticks and such are actually good. Shame they’d use shady tactics when some of the product line is good.
If ace k bothers you, you better pour that c4 out LOL. My wife is a legionnaire for 1st phorm. I do not like their supps. They taste like chemicals to me. But can absolutely vouch for their clothes. I have two pair of joggers and 4 workout shorts. My most comfortable clothes. Better than Lulu. Also, Andy is one of my favorite personalities. I love his podcast and have gotten a lot of benefit from his program, 75 hard.
