Honestly, i love using this in hulldown situations. While it doesnt have great armor, the multiple layers and the angled turret front is extremely trolly and can bounce darts at times, and because no armor if you do get penned then damage is rather minimal because no spall so the enemy has to directly hit components like crew or ammo to actually do stuff
Well, to give an idea on why wheeled gun tank destroyers are a thing, they are rapid response vehicles which are intended to support units under fire from enemy armor or keep an enemy force distracted long enough so that proper heavy armor can arrive and deal with the enemy
Oh absolutely. It's definitely not meant to be directly in the line of fire. Just like the Stryker MGS and ATGM platforms, they're direct fire support and increase the firepower quickly where needed but are not, in any way, replacements for tanks.
@@PanzerPaw yeah, tho unlike the Type 16 and B1 Centauro. Stryker is just an assault gun, not a wheeled TD like those 2. It generally carries very minimal anti tank shells, and uses almost entirely HE or HEAT shells to provide direct fire support for infantry against stuff like fortifications. Type 16 and Centauro tho are ment to deal with a wider variety of threats and scenario's, and thus normally carry a more balance variety of munitions
WMA301 is also 9.0 ( it was finally slightly moved up ) and it can use tandem missiles with 750mm pen. So i would consider it as the most annoying vehicle, mostly because for a long time it was 8.7 and i think it was 8.3 for sometime too.

"why is this map so poorly designed" i mean you said it yourself, its a low tier world war map where optics are next to nothing on tanks. Of course a small map like this when you have fast af velocity ammo and x30 optics is gonna seem like its "poorly designed". This is actually my fav map in early maps because A,B and C are all within the town which leaves C open, might sound dumb but for low tier there are some nice sniping spots along the cliff face. Its on the Snail for not implementing a "BR Map" so BR XYZ gets maps 12345 and BR ABC gets maps 678910
I mean the normal Type 16 is my second Most spawned vehicle, but the FPS is a nice Premium for this BR. But the Type 60 (c) he used in His lineup is way funnier since the seperate Barrel shots
It's quite funny how this thing can soak up the Object 279s shell in the direct front of the hull and I believe I saw where there was a 150mm plate of some kind kinda hidden strangely enough.
I'd love to see you play with the T-35. It has no armor BUT it was designed by the soviets so you have more crew than the enemy has shells. It's big box of fun. This and Somua SM were the best purchases I made in this game.
So actually modern vehicles that run automatic transmission sound like the engine is going to blow up when you accelerate because they all shift super late. At least in my experience. Jltvs, 7 tons, hmwwvs, Ect. The engines are terrible
Nah wolfpack is much better than premium type 16 due the pen of a shell, either give us better shell or bring it back to 8.7. It's a pay 2 lose tank if you encounter some more armored tanks against other wheelers it's still fine.
The 2.3 - 3.7 line up for russia is very good, but boring as usually my line up is wacky looking vehicles instead of useful ones, but russia just has boring looking useful tanks. Boring in my opinion as they arent a car with a 20mm or a strange looking open top, russian stuff sometimes is neat but the T-34, KV and IS just look like the same guy designed them all, even though I know they weren't. I thought about buying the type 16 but I couldnt at whats around 80$ for me and its pretty easy to kill imo.
Iirc South Africa made the Rooikats as they wanted highly mobile vehicles for bounding across the wilderness whilst having the firepower to wreck T-55s. Unsure about the others but I'd assume mobility over long ranges.
with this going on sale recently top tier is flooded with these and all the players are dumb absolutely dumb rushing caps right away absolutely stupid....im not a great player by any means and im just over a 1to1 kd with this thing with like 41 kills and 40 deaths and if they had an assist counter this would be by far one of the highest vehicles i have with assists but when i tell ppl dont rush caps in chat of course they say "shut up" "noone asked" then they rush cap and get killed...use the thermals and good zoom and speed to harrass enemy from edges of map...with the type 74 and 16 i researched ranks 1 through 3 into 4 in one sitting this is one of the best one two punches in game and when u get killed in the type 16 the 74s round spalls so good and if u hit lower front of any tank its a 1 shot
Theres a reason why people call the Type-16s annoying, its because they're such a low br. Its almost got Abrams pen, is really fast, had better thermals then almost everything, lrf. Its stupid good when its fighting T-55s that cant even have a chance at fighting back because it can't even see it, let alone shoot at it with accuracy, all the Type-16s should go up. The P and FPS to 9.3 or 9.7, and the actual one to like 10.0-10.3
@@i_nameless_i-jgsdf, my brother in the holy Christ above, shut the fuck up. Go watch most other RU-vidrs videos and you'll see what I mean. Oddbawz recently did a video on this vehicle too. Also how is any 8.0 supposed to fight this when it's 4km away in a bush covered in bushes, while it's 3rd gen thermals stare you down, and it's lrf gives it perfect accuracy, while the T-55A and M60A1 (AOS) can't see farther then 1.5kms and you have to manually range that only goes up to 800m. My suggestion is literally fucking never speak again
