The Masai are an indigenous warrior tribe that resides in Kenya and Tanzania. The Adumu ritual is a fine display of explosive power development and elastic energy utilization (the stretch shortening cycle), which this tribe has perfected by trial and error, generation after generation.

Doesn't the diet of the Masai tribespeople consist almost entirely of meat? Could that have something to do with it as well?

If this plays a role who gets a partner and make childs it could be a form of artificial selection on the population. Resulting in offspring that are better at this thanks to tendon length etc. I'm not sure how much of this coming from training alone.

I urge you to search about the Dinka Tribe of South Sudan, they are apparently quite taller then even the Maasai of Kenya. There is a video by Drew Binsky where you can see these really tall (6ft+ to 7ft even)really sticky figured South Sudanese boys of merely 19/20 yrs old. Though he doesnt / cant convincingly explain what makes them so tall.

I think I saw a video explaining how in very hot environments, heat is better managed over a larger/longer surface, therefore encouraging them to be taller to deal with heat better. Just one reason I heard.

How to mystify some regular shit😂 nothing impressive here, they are doing it since they are born and it's part of their culture. Put 4 or 5 hundreds hours of your time in any topic you want, you will see if you are any better in the end

but still interesting, how they avoid injuries, taking into account the volume of their jumping practice
