Battle of Drobak Sound if anyone's curious. There's a movie called "The King's Orders" that showcase the scene of the Oscabourg fortress defending itself against the invading German cruiser, and it's pretty mental.
Attacking and defending without supply is shit, remember to always open the supply map and if you play as Finland the best option is to use less divisions but with more artillery, connect all the railways, Build extra supply, get AA, get medical tents and the logistics company, and that way you are going to get expert divisions. There is a new winter support company that is really good for Finland, i think it's in one focus.
Exactly right! The General needs to manage his air (or anti-air), his supply, and not push as much to let the Soviets waste their equipment and manpower without sacrificing his own ...
Forming Greater Finland under Marshal Chaderheim. Accept no substitutes. Also, I love how the main menu background is a reference to the sinking of the Blucher.
The DLC looks very cool, excited to boot it up tonight. I like how making Finland able to defeat the soviet union is so ridiculous that they had to not only turn the Finnish army into supersoldiers via national spirits but ALSO give a wp event.
My favourite thing about about Finland is they're national spirit sisu not because of its effects but because sisu means boob (not boobs just one boob) in Serbian and that pretty much the funniest thinge ever in existence basically.
Hello! I'm kinda new to hoi4 and it's mods and I saw that 2 years ago some drama happend in TNO. I also saw video of our favorite Mountain General about all this, it was called Absolute State of TNO. And as I'm late, and I didn't even know that hoi4 exicted 2 years ago, I wanted to ask what happend after that and what's the current situation? Is TNO Redux dead? Are Panzer and Pacifica still the main developers of TNO? And are Russians still being purged in TNO discord (it's really interesting for me, as I am Russian myself)?
Mountain General: Finland will hold against the Soviets and even take Murmansk Peninsula on its own Meanwhile me: Cant even hold past March 1940 until Russian start to slowly crack me (Well tbf i was playing Historical Finland path) Btw i think there should be a decision that during Winter War, you could get Suojeluskunta units by decisions, like how you recruit paramilitaries in KR, 2ACW. (And if you go down the "Suomalainen Sosialismi tree, you shouldn't be able to recruit them coz it would be unrealistic af)
@@mountaingeneral Yeah but I tried historical THREE. FUCKING. TIMES. EITHER ITS REALLY THAT HARD OR I HAVE REALLY BAD SKILL ISSUE (btw I tried to not let any Soviet boot step on Finland but I just got pushed slowly in Northern Karelia. Eventually they went around the Maginot Li- I mean Mannerheim Line, sorry force of habit
@@mountaingeneral Also part of the reason why I did historical is that 1. Kyösti Kallio gets you -25% Advisor Cost, which is really nice and 2. During the Winter War you can establish a military government with Mannerheim as President... *for life*
You can also get help from Germany as they will guarantee you without alliance and they will help you wreck them; also you can make better deal with Sweden and get their whole land along with the islands; also I need to see someone defeating German after they take soviets, in my game UK and Co wasn’t even able to fully invade Italy (I stopped at 1950)
Yo Mountain General, there is world's famous music artist Maco Mamuko, who lives in Slovakia, he became famous because of his song: Whiskey cola i tequila. Do you understand lyrics of the song, 'cause i don't? I think it's slovak language mixed with hungarian, how do you think?
As a Finn my self imo some of this Greater Finland stuff is kinda cringe. Im more excited about the historical path even tho its little bit boring sometimes.
3:10 FFS Mountain General, Mannerheim is NOT from Sweden, WTF?! He was born in Askainen, just north west of Turku, Finland. What the hell are you talking about? Mannerheim was a Finnic-Swede, which means he spoke Swedish as his native language, which happens to be the second national language of Finland. His parents were both Finnish, he was born in Finland, he lived a large part of his life in Finland and he's buried in Finland, how the fuck does that make him be "from Sweden"???
@@mountaingeneral That's still a little frustrating as this is a person that has criminally low coverage among all history youtubers, so adding misinformation to the mix really isn't great.
