@@dingleyfarm No disrespect but 5500 for a quarter million mile 09 town car? No thanks. A 2009 with 92k just sold for 5000 in Lowell the other week, sure the L trim is harder to find but doesn't really add much market value. Hard pass but thanks anyways. Plenty of L models with half the miles of yours for sale for that price.
Dumb question, but how reliable are these cars. Im looking to upgrade to one for my college car and was wondering if there is anything that I should know or look into.
The engine and tranny last 200k or longer but air shocks go out all the time. It's number 1 complaint on these models. My mom had 1 and hers went out every year all the time and cost nearly $2k to fix. And anytime I see 1 of these cars sitting in someone's yard, the rear end in damn near on the ground. Serious. Have someone loom at it before buying it.
the brake system is a fancy electronic boost-by-wire system called SBC repairing it is very expensive facelift models made after 2006 have a more reliable system
