If you want any more name, let us know if you have any guidelines for names you're looking for (like style of name, meanings, middle names to match with). I love helping with that kind of thing. Also check out Baby Name Sunday and SJ Strum for other great baby name videos. :)
I absolutely love Araminta and Cataleya! I also put Delphine on my list when I discovered the name on Anne with an E! My other favorites on your list are Eliana, Oriana, Calla, Eulalia, Mariposa, Odessa, and Vianne.
Hi Raquel, I wish you were still making these videos! I'm looking for beautiful Spanish feminine names similar to my middle name, Viviana. I love the names you mentioned but I wish the Spanish names you would have pronounced with a Spanish accent as well. I think they're beautiful both ways but especially in their origin language. I hope you can keep that in mind if you make future videos, which I so hope to see! Thank you for making this video! I hope you're doing well! 🙏🏼💕
Make sure you check the meaning behind names before choosing one, I love the sound of Odessa but the meaning is wrathful; one who receives pain. And that’s not too pleasant lol
So many gorgeous names! I love Calliope, Paloma, Eulalia, Mariposa, Odessa, Araminta and Delphine! I have Calliope and Eulalia as sisters on my name list. I really like the idea of Jemima and Paloma as twin names because they both mean dove. Mariposa was one of the first names I ever loved. For the question, I'd pick Cassiopeia. I think the name Cassiopeia is so beautiful!
Hello. The pronunciation I use in the video is the pronunciation used in Greece and, more specifically, ancient Greece, where the name originates. Said you're way, which is not wrong, is the English pronunciation. It just depends on what part of the world one lives in.
@@Burritosarebetterthantacos im not filming videos to be put on the internet. If someone wants people to watch their videos they should put effort into making them good.
I once knew a lady that was named Docia but she pronounced it “Doe- Sha” She was from the South and sometimes they have their own way of pronouncing names differently. She was really nice and think of her often.
Cia often has that pronunciation. I don't think it's a southern thing. It is pretty for sure. Acacia is another name with that pronunciation and it's Greek
Calliope is beautiful 😍 I first heard it on Grey’s Anatomy. I actually know a girl named Iliana with an I! I always thought it was so unique and pretty growing up.
i love araminta!!! i've been trying to get my husband onboard with it! it was actually harriet tubman's birth given name, she changed it to harriet after she was married :))
I read about it in my research....Araminta Ross nickname Minty! It's a rare name, but a beautiful one. It's always hard getting rare names past family members. It happened to me... Good luck getting your husband on board! ;)
Hi, Raquel! We finally had our Baby Daughter just 3 days ago on Sunday, November 15, 2020. We just got discharged from the hospital this yesterday. Here is the rare name that we chose: ☆ Sanjana Shafali Shaharazade ☆ I will post a special video to my own channel this weekend making the official announcement. "Sanjana" means "gentle, tender and merciful". We will normally call her by her middle name, Shafali. "Shafali" means the "Coral Night Jasmine" flower. Shaharazade is a name famous for the Persian Queen from the Arabian Nights stories. It means the "Queen married to the Shah, or King", and also can mean the "Lady of the Free City". It resonates so well with me because I am a very big advocate for Women's Rights and Breaking the Glass Ceiling! Thank you, Raquel, for this special video on rare and beautiful baby girl names. We look forward to all of your upcoming video posts! ~ Dr. Sanjay Kumar & Family
Congratulations, on the birth of your baby girl! It's a new day ;) We love Hindi names. We considered many for our daughter. The names you chose are special, & exquisite; meaningful & significant. You brought your daughter into the world with a good name ( as I say, it starts with a name ), and at a wonderful time in the world with an Indian American VP today there is no telling what the future holds :) Congratulations again. Thank you & your family for being here.
Hi, Rachel! Wow, You have said the most sweetest & kindest things. It is very much appreciated! Yes I feel like I wish I was part of a friendship group with people more like the fans of this channel. I look forward to each Sunday’s posting with unique names, even though we have already named our daughter. Our daughter has a mix of both Hindi & Persian in her chosen name: * Sanjana Shafali Shaharazade * I think that we parents that give importance to the meanings of names are a unique type. Thank you so much, Rachel, for your very supportive congratulations, and it is humbling to me that you appreciate our daughter’s new name! ~ Sanjay Kumar & Family
I love Cataleya (reminds me of my friend Annalea's (ahnna-leya) name) and I also love Calliope, Calla, and Imogene. There was a childhood book called Imogene that I used to read. It's about this girl who grows antlers one day lol. Here are some other names on my list that I find beautiful: Alora Auretta Cassiopeia Demetria Emrielle Laguna Mara Zamora
I love the names: Victoria Christiana Elisabeth Zara Irene Louise Alix Victoria Marie Sophie Charlotte Augusta/Mae Fiona Emilia/Mileena Adora Gwyneth/Gabriela Franziska Marie-Louise Felicia Rose Amber Jasmine Cecelie/Amethyst Nova Catherine Nicole
@@RaquelCruz it's so true! I watch SJ Strum and there are a few super cute names that I love in her accent that don't work for me in my accent at all. Graham, Bernard, Basil and Cecil :(

@@janeruby1795 that is lovely 🥺 I first heart it from the song “Cassiopeia” by Joanna Newson and I had to google what is meant and thought it would make a beautiful name, was a bit heartbroken when I found out that a lot of people had thought of it as a baby name too 😂
Araminta is so beautiful. Love history of Harriet Tubman. One of the bravest selfless people in history! Love Minty nickname also. Heard name Ferelith recently. Love it. I love Windsor Willows for a girl. Caledonia, and Serengeti I. Think are Beautiful paradise names. Also think Aquinnah is so pretty. Paradise place in Martha’s Vineyard with red clay cliffs overlooking panoramic view of the ocean. Rustic beauty. Somerled is a beautiful sea inspired name. Dashwood Is cool as Unisex name. Since Dashielle becoming over-used.Love Augusta and Lovelle for pretty names. Ostara and Astrea.
My name being Rhian seems so rare, not when changed to Rhiannon or Rhianna!! Rhian is so hard for come people to pronounce for some reason. My First name is welsh and my surmane is Irish. Both of heritage which I'm so proud of.
I really really really loved all the names and very much enjoyed the video and got a lot of inspiration for my new female characters that I dreamed up for chapters 5 and 6 of my 2nd book rising tides of the great battle for amarykhanta!👍🏼😎
I love the name Calliope, Aurelia, and Eliana. My fiancé and I have Aurelius on the top of our list for a boy. Our daughter was born September 2020 and we named her Winnifred Darling (first and middle name); we call her Winnie. 💓
Short names are at the forefront of future naming practices. Why not, Anu? Or maybe Anue if you want to add a silent e to lengthen the name. I think it's pretty. 💕
@@DeaDlyCorpsE528 it's beautiful name combination! I'm happy to hear it! Thank you for sharing the news with me! ❤️ Congratulations, on your pregnancy and finding the perfect baby name! 🎉🎉🎉
Madrene means 'of or relating to a mother.' It comes from Latin word māter 'mother.' Sometime around the 15th - 16th c. the letter T was replaced with the letter D. The -ene suffix had no real meaning itself. You're middle name is a variation of the Italian / Spanish word 'madrina' meaning 'godmother.'
I love watching all these kinds of videos to see baby name trends- but I’m also really loving that my daughter’s name isn’t on any lists as she will be here in May and I still want her name to be just as rare. 😊😊
Man, I got up to see if my cat was alright. Edit. Just saw Eulalia! I haven’t seen anyone else list this name so that was a surprise! I used to have the sweetest cat named Eulalie
These are all such gorgeous unique names 😍 Would love your opinion on the name Aiana (pronounced Ayana). My daughter is due in May and so far it’s our top contender! I discovered it recently, it means everlasting bloom/forever beautiful. I love it but have trouble figuring out what a nickname could be! I loveee Eliana as well but my niece’s name is Elia, so it would be too close I think! Thanks for the great vid!
Sure! Ayana is gorgeous! It is also a Native American Indian & African Somali meaning beautiful flower. There are many spelling variants to this lovely name like the English origin Aiyana, Ayanna. This name derives from the name Anna and although this maybe a stretch it's also derived from the name Jane. These could work as true nicknames. Otherwise, Ayan (this is a Japanese & African Somali name) pronounced phonetically AY-in. Hope this helps!
Raquel Cruz Thank you for the reply! I had no idea it was derived from Anna and Jane! Very cool! Anna might be really sweet actually! Thank you so much for the tips and the background on the name, you always some really wonderful insight! 👏😍
