Small correction. The ¨houses¨ in front of the village are not there like that to block avalanches. They are build in a single line, so that when a avalanche comes, it pases over them. The evalange does not come from the front, but from the side. (sorce: I am from Gurin)
Hi. Thank you very much for your input. Great to know how this works in detail! Sehr schöns Dorf bi eu obä. Hoffe ihr chönd das wiiterhin so bewahre, vor allem au mit euem Dialekt.
Hi Michael. Thank you for your nice comment and the subscription. I just visited Colorado this Summer. It was great, especially the One-Million-Dollar-Highway passroad!
Hallo Diana. Mein grösstes Vergnügen die schönsten Flecken in der Schweiz zu erkunden. Es gibt so viele tolle Sachen zum entdecken hier. Das erstaunt mich immer wieder!
Selamat Petang from Penang. Thanks for yet another amazing video. I like d mouse plate in particular. It’s an ingenious idea to prevent d mice from getting into d lodge.
Selamat petang Vincent. Apa khabar? My pleasure to have produced this video. It's a very nice village with plenty of cute houses. I love the mouse plate feature too. All this architecture results from practical way of life, while today we mostly admire its beauty.
Yes, Its really a beautiful village. After seeing many white painted houses, I think we could say this cute village is Santorini of Switizerland? isnt it? #MYSWITZERLAND #ILOVESWITZERLNAD #INEEDSWITZERLAND
Hi Abdul. Interesting comparison :) There should be some sea and plenty of swimming pools, then I think more likely :) I think you really should visit this village next time!
@@DjemoGraphic I definitely will. So many beautiful villages I have yet to visit. I would definitely say through your channel lots of other people and I get a chance to know all these beautiful villages. I have to say a big big thanks for that. I still remember your Grimentz video taking me to this channel. The white-painted house gives an impression of Santorini... hehe
So nice!!! I live in a village too, among the mountains of Brazil, and I love such kind of simple life style. Thank you for sharing with us this lovely place!!!
Hiii. Being a villager makes one be closer with the nature. Our lives are more simple but we can have a break from all the hassle in the cities. I love the laid back lifestyle, pure joy of life.
Love your videos! So pleasant, and you are a really good guide/narrator. I am wondering if the people of this village do not find tourists walking around and looking at their homes and garden a little bit too invasive? I would! But I guess it is part of the village's survival too. May be people will repopulate these villages, as the cities are getting more and more crazy... at least outside of Switzerland. Good job!
Great video. Last year I hiked from Cerentino to Bosco Gurin, I didn't know the trail was damaged and ended up walking on rocks in river bed. In two days I'll hike from Cimalmotto over Passo Quadrella to Bosco Gurin, freue mich schon drauf.
Hiii Min Zhou. Oh that's great to read. Sorry though that the hike was so troublesome. I hope next time you will have more luck and please enjoy Bosco/Gurin. It's a fantastic village!
Beautiful and enchanted place, Djemo. Quite interesting facts about the place and its inhabitants as well. I am pretty sure that the place will continue to be preserved and visited even though its population is decreasing. I hope to re-visit Switzerland in 2023 by car and get to know Ticino more!
Hi Djemo , I will repeat my special words for you again , Whaf a fantastic beautiful looking village , all villages and cities of Switzerland have amazing beauty. All the best Djemo ❣
Hii. Thank you very much for your nice feedback. It is indeed an interesting village. I absolutely loved it and I already know that I want to go there again, hopefully in Winter!
Yes it's the only German town in the Italian Ticino. During the warm Medieval period, with smaller glaciers, many Walser managed to cross the Alps and found some settlements in Italy that retain their heritage to this day
Very nice place, should be beautiful in winter as well. However, I wonder how the locals would treat complete strangers, especially foreigners and with kids, loitering between their houses? :)
Djemo what a fantastic looking village 👌 But feel sorry to hear that the Birth rate is decreasing and people are leaving the Village . Hope that a Miracle happens and people start to learn some new ways to remain in the Village and to prevent the same Beauty for the next generation to come. All the Best 👍
Hiii Tapovardhan. Thank you for your wish to Bosco/Gurin. It makes me very sad too. 100 years ago there were still 280 people living up there, not it's only 52 :( I hope the number will increase again. But the next closest city is about 50 minutes away, that is really far for many young people.
I have a question Djemo, while you were shooting this Video, why the people of the village are not seen anywhere ? Do they remain indoors always ? #Djemo Graphic @Djemo Graphic
Hii Aruna. This has several reasons: 1st I prefer having either empty paths or at least not people who randomly move forth and back. 2nd many elder people in the village were not so comfortable, so I chose to not film them. But I have filmed a few from far away, so it shows some life. 3rd Those who were at work were not around during the day. Last: The village only has 52 inhabitants.
