The Most Beautiful Vintage Piece EVER!!!  

I live in a small rural community. Not long ago a young woman and her 2 kids were relocated here through a victims of domestic violence program. They assisted her with the cost of moving into a HUD apartment, utility deposits/turn on fees and funds to travel here. She didn't have a stick of furniture, nothing to cook with, no bath towels, etc. They had their clothes - period. One of the pastors set out jars in all the businesses in town to collect donations for setting this young family up. Just over $1k was collected in 2 days and we managed to supply her with not only beautiful furniture but everything they needed by shopping at the Re-store and a few thrift stores. An elderly gentleman in town bought brand new mattresses for all the beds. I would like to mention her home doesn't look like a mish mash of old furniture or pieces thrown together. It all coordinates and looks stunning! Her 6 & 8 year old daughters room is simply adorable. One thing I don't think gets enough mention is the Re-stores have amazing deals on gorgeous rugs! We got 3 huge ones for her living room and bedrooms. She just got a job at the local grocery store & is so excited. Thank heaven for the Re-store!

That casserole dish is M.A. Hadley pottery and $5 is a steal for it.

I like to go to Habitat and buy used pans. Aluminum pans are $4.50 in the store and if I am cooking for a funeral, I like to take aluminum pans. But...since I can no longer afford aluminum pans, I go to places like Habitat and get good used ones for $2.00 each! If I don't get it back, I don't much care! And it's cheaper than buying a large aluminum one! Crazy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos!

Those craft supplies are mostly for scrapbooking. The board with the grooves is, yes, for getting correct folds for card-making etc. The punches are hardly sold in stores (at least up North) anymore, and are super expensive so those are great prices there at the Restore!

M A Hadley pottery ceased production last year. The factory store is open 1 day a week and 1 Saturday a month selling the remaining inventory. I heard talk if a sale and reopening but I am not sure. I like the accent chairs on either side of the desk with the green seats.

I can’t believe the mirror was only $5.00, either! I loved a lot of the paintings/ pictures, especially the dragonflies! So sweet! I liked the sofa, also loved the story about the lady who bought it! The end tables of the sofa were pretty as well. I assume it came with the sofa. I loved the 1920’s hutch with the matching buffet! Gorgeous! As usual, I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs!
