My word, Gavv is the gift that keeps on giving indeed. Hanto getting to run the gauntlet of Gavv suffering really puts the meaning of bitter into the the bittersweet taste of dark chocolate in a new light; getting operated while conscious? Finding his mentor's remains? Ouch and ouch. The suffering won't end, no matter how many sweets and gummies are being consumed week in and week out!
I’m going to be honest, Hanto’s surgery scene was shocking and abit painful to watch despite not seeing the….”details” of the sequence and I watched a good amount of ER shows, mind you. This is still an awesome episode. I gotta say, for a junk food-themed KR, it’s been really dark so far. Thanks for another great review, Adam.
I really liked the directing in this one, was pretty emotional. While we didn't necessarily knew a ton about Soji, Hanto's frustration with having people dear to him get taken by the Granutes was palpable. And Suga's total lack of empathy is always hilarious in that black comedy sort of way. Really curious as to where his and Nyelv's character will go.
Yeah, I didn't expect the boss to die so soon but it certainly gives our secondary Rider more angst to fuel him. Plus, the melting sequence reminded me of Venom.
His mentor die off screen really shock man since i already knew that mentor always got red flag in any story but on five episode in... why i got the feeling that his final form will have chocolate fuse with coffee...
An emotional episode indeed, like I didn't really think Hanto's boss is going to die soon, but here we are. And that's really speed up the process of Hanto becoming a Rider. And the process of Hanto becoming a Rider, yeah.... this series is going full on Showa Rider now. Heck, it even mirrors the first and second Showa Kamen Rider in that, while both have the same enemies, but they don't have the same goals. Even Hanto knew that he is walking on a path he can no longer turn back to, a path of revenge. I also wonder how the heck is he going to transform every time considering he is using Shoma's servants, like is Suga going to steal them everytime? Or Shoma will just give his? There is also the fact that Glasses Stomach dude, seems interested in the drivers, like he finally found something to become strong or something, maybe overtaking the family too. And what is Suga's ultimate goal in all this? While there are answers to some of the questions before, but more questions arise. Thankfully it seems Dente might have built something to help Shoma a little. I also predict he will also give an upgrade to Shoma's Driver later. Overall, cool and emotional intro to the new Rider, and we'll see how is the status quo going to be in the mean time.
Neat fact: Many in the Rider community have pointed out that this is likely a nod to Toshimasa Komatsu’s previous role in Rider as Shogo Kano from Amazons, who (SPOILERS) Gets bisected as a major human casualty in the show
One fact I find disturbing is that the Valenbuster apparently functions as an electric chair for the Gochizo to force them to provide power to Valen with shock torture.
Check "Puniru Wa Kawaii Slime" anime. After a mediocre letdown that was Noko-tan we got pretty legit (at least after first episode) comedy with some pretty damn good animation and few surprises.
I have a theory nyelv stomach will become a dark rider he observe gavv and valen theres ability and powers he is interesting and if it be a spoiler plottwist if he gonna betrayal he's own older brother he wants to take over the factory he's own will this it always sibling rivals who oldest sibling are superior to the own younger sibling and the youngest is envy to the oldest sibling
