@@its_Criminal1 Kabal and Kenshi were both undoubtedly better. Cyrax lost to both and lost to kitana, but Kabal didn't lose to anyone (almost all 7-3) and Kenshi only really lost to Kabal (most winning matchups were 7-3 or 8-2, some 9-1).

Ah yes... Cyrax. The character with TODs, safe 50/50s, meter drain, +50 command grab, inescapable setups, plus frames, and ridiculous wake-up options that somehow is still only top 3. This game is a disaster in the most beautiful way imaginable.

I would try to stay on him as a Smoke player just so he wouldn't hit me first. If a good Cyrax player hit me,.. no lie, I would just surf RU-vid on my phone during the combo. Occasionally they might drop something and I can poke out, but usually not. It pained me as I'm not a quitter, but what could you do🤷🏾‍♂️?

It was fun because you could push what the game allowed to the limits, if there were any. Unlike MK 11, where everything is straightforward, character playstyles are dry with super limited 1-2 combo paths or none. Hello from MK Georgian society btw)))

@@SolusFather Kabal's pressure worked on every single character, it's just that he couldn't abuse certain strings against shorter characters. Kabal's pressure is only a part of what made Kabal so rediculous: he had excellent zonning as well, he had great counter zonning and mobility, all of his combos ended in a standing reset which lead to more pressure, he had the best sweep in the game, he built meter rediculously quickly. The character has no flaws.

Great stuff, REO! God damn cyrax was quite the dominautomaton, huh!? Just a minor [admittedly petty] gripe, but it sorta peeves me when folks say stuff like "kill you, one touch". It AIN'T 1 touch. C'mon, man. It is a mix of complex set play with (often) intricate combos that we grind to perfection in the lab (as dunes of salt accumulate and shift like the sands of time that slip away). Saying like "just one touch" makes it sound like one button, and BLIGGETY-BLAM! There goes your entire health bar. Not really even similar. At all. It would be more accurate to say "you can just crumble the opposition's HP into dust off of one hit confirm". Or something like that.... Ahhhh. I feel much better now. Ok now *I* am exaggerating! No but seriously, i feel a little better though. =P

I'm glad he finally talked about Cyrax in this game. The rest of the videos were more about characters potential but despite playing a lot and watching gameplay videos, I hardly ever saw almost any of the things he says players do with the characters. With Cyrax though, EVERYONE did this stuff pro or normal player

The mechanic that he described Kabal using to dominate, relative to other NRS games, sounded pretty difficult to master reliably, like tech from a much more complicated game. This guy on the other hand is "big combos then more big combos and also pressure and command grabs" which... Yeah, it makes sense that you'll see more of it on a day to day basis.

man, cyrax is probably my most wanted mk11 character, and i don't know why he's not in, they put, nightwolf,sindel,kabal,noob saibot and not cyrax? why?

They had Cyber Frost as the Cyber Ninja for MK11, plus they had Triborg in MKX, Boon has said he has wanted to go back to older characters and give them a makeover first, hence why he added Tremor to MKX, and then Frost and Skarlet to MK11. Ever since MKX, NRS has been keeping a more limited roster, probably because a smaller roster is easier to balance and it allows them to put more detail on each character. There is a leak that a character code named "ROBO" is being added in KP2 though, NRS learned from the KP1 leak and they're not saving the files as the characters name. Considering that they already have a Cyrax, Sektor and Cyber Sub Zero model it might be Triborg.

@@TheDirtysouthfan limited roster is not a excuse to bring unnecessary new characters in a franchise of dozens of interisting characters like mortal kombat, geras (even i kinda liking him) cetrion and kollector are unnecessary, add they instead of cyrax is not cool. i don't frost is the cyber ninja of mk11, and if it is, it sucks, because cyrax is way better than frost. so, who knows? i don't know exactly if the "ROBO" leak is from triborg or robocop but i would love to see triborg again, but have the model is not a guarantee that he will be in the game, of course, tanya and bo rai cho had their models in mkx and than they become dlc, but rain, fujin, sindel, baraka and many others also had their models in mkx and they didn't became playable characters.

You ask how people played the game with Cyrax around? You just answered it you either play Cyrax or you play the other top tier characters and generally during the fight against a Cyrax you use their broken ass zoning tools to never let him come near so as to avoid his combo of death LOL. Just look at some of the old vids of DJT and VGX with the Kabal vs Cyrax match, Kabal obviously is dangerous in close range but in that match up he literally has to spam his zoning tools to avoid the touch of death LOL. Like you said with Cyrax around you had to play a certain a way, even with other top tier characters, because if you allow him to get too close his combos will chunk out your HP with ease. So it was basically avoid Cyrax like the plague LOL.

I used to play sektor in this game and all my friends would hound me to play cyrax, I tried to tell them tier lists really don’t matter in this game unless you’re playing at a pro level. Every character is powerful enough to do well at most skill levels

that's kind of why I hate these older games. It threw key components of fighting games out the window. Neutral? Fuck no. Footsies? NOPE. Pressure? LOTS. Like to press buttons? GO NUTS. Plus frame guessing? FOR DAYS.

@@WutTheDeuceGaming IDK about that. MVC2/3 had neutral - it was just that if you got a hit and converted you could do huge damage. But all team fighters are like that - even FighterZ is like that. MVC2 had hella footsies.
