You can also use that combo with Altar of the Brood with Scurry Oak for a ton of Squirrels that will all mill on ETB like the Herd Baloth, but cheaper.
In order to extra buff Fathom Mage I love the combo of Psychic Corrosion and Taferi’s Tutelage whenever you draw a card you force your opponents to mill three cards at every turn. Good video as always
I am loving these videos! Have my like, subscribe and this comment! Hope it helps! Having almost infinite combos is perfect for me. My local gaming store runs monthly tournaments and infinite combos are not allowed. So a combo that goes off without going infinite is exactly what I am am hoping for with my new Mothman deck! PS I recently bought Atraxa off a mate and have been wondering if I can use her as the commander for the Mothman deck with plenty of tutors to find Mothy?
@@decktechsfordecks I appreciate that you put yourself in the videos. I don’t mind watching just cards with a voice over but it’s nice to see a friendly face and pick up on that fun, creative personality of yours. May you always draw well!
Really cool concept, is the plan for this deck to out value your opponent solitaire asap? Ive noticed there is very little interaction/removal/protection etc
This. It's not hard to do 2 damage and proliferate the counters on Ascension. Each opponent will be put on a 1 turn clock unless you have mesmeric orb out to mill them before they draw.
I like the idea of this combo but won’t the whole play group immediately try to kill you once you drop both these cards? Nobody else is going to damage each other knowing you have game on board. What’s your success rate once both of these hit the board?
@Russiancow602 so far I'm 1 for 1. If I have bloodchief and mothman out. More times than not I think they will be targeting the scaling mothman since it becomes a 7/7 very quickly
Subscribed. This is very much like my build of Wise Mothman except I didn't blink. Incremental mill is where it's at. Crosstown Courier and Towering-Wave Mystic are good includes too.
Mystic snake and frilled mystic might also be worthwhile includes. Yes you’re paying 2 more mana to counter a spell, but it’s such a creature oriented deck with the mothman putting +1/+1 counters on everything so they could turn into beaters after countering something so you get additional value.
3 months "late", but one of the biggest perks I've found with Mothman is that he can "commit crimes" because he can put a +1/+1 counter on ANY TARGET CREATURE. This allows for Deepmuck Desperado and Freestrider Lookout to be handy techs, but also adds Generous Patron as another win-combo in place of Evolution Sage.
