@@toddboward4771 bad at pvp or not. Most of the changes implemented over the years seemed like it was done by devs who dont play Destiny at all, even at a casual level. Personally, I feel that pvp balanced should be done by those who actual play pvp regularly. The BS changes severely outweigh the good changes over the game's life cycle sadly. They need to walk mile in our shoes to get proper sense of what they subject us to.

They play trials on PC but only when they can get carried flawless. DMG gets carried flawless by streamers like Frostbolt and ZKmushroom when there is good loot. Even Bungie knows trials on PC is garbage.

As long as their revenue is good, everything is ok, right? No need to invest in something with a bad ROI? As long as leaving players (who paid before) are not connected to cheaters, not much will happen, at least no actions needing a budget.

It’s not the banning that’s the problem cause for the most part, they are decent at banning cheaters when they show up. The biggest issue is that they keep coming back. So long as the game and cheat software is downloaded on their device, there’s nothing something them from making a new email account and cheating again.

@@J-manli the time it takes to ban them is the problem. Someone spamming something like supers every round of a trials match can be caught by some pretty basic anti cheat if programmed properly. Someone like that should not be making thru a single match let alone multiple cards.

I think they reason they say that is probably either because: 1. They are the cheaters themselves 2. The over saturation of players during trials weekend reducing the chances of encountering a cheater for people sometimes (still doesn’t mean cheating isn’t a big problem)

It’s just silly, I mean I dont often come across people this bad spamming supers and heavy but wall hack is so common. I would argue wall hack is more important than this non sense. Having the ability to know where everyone is, when you can push, when you need to back up, when to snipe, etc can turn a very mediocre player into a very good player. Most people are very very obvious when they use it too so it’s just like oh ok this shit again. Lol it sucks because my friends all are all about “I’m going to flank down the... and I’m dead.” And I’m just shaking my head like yah you flanked into a trap bro. They know where you are so... they just can’t adapt from console to pc.

Something weird I’ve found, me and most of my clan mates do trials every weekend and barely any cheaters and I think this is why. We never get above 3 wins. I think the majority of cheaters are above the 3 win range so the solution to cheaters in trials is to just be terrible at the game

It’s just not possible to fix p2p pvp because of the way they built it. It’s why they are trying to make loot more accessible to lower the value of cheating but are failing at that still.

@@Z1vx_ Anti-cheat is not easy to make... but it is super easy to purchase. Many games rely on third party anti-cheats. Bungie wants to be stubborn and make everything themselves. It's all cool being ambitious and wanting to make your own... but how about relying on a third party until Bungie builds at least a half-baked anti-cheat.

i tried just getting to 3 wins, burned 2 cards trying yesterday, every single team had at least 1 aimbot cheater on them, guy with a 95.6% headshot accuracy with an eye of sol sniper while having a 0.5 k/d, seems legit.

I mean at this point I would be fine with them attaching Trials to the Season pass. It sucks you'd have to pay to play but at least it would bleed the cheaters dry if they have to buy the pass every time they make a new account.

I hadn't played in maybe like a couple years, but just came back about a month ago. The amount of hackers in low rank glory makes it unplayable. I lose 70% of my matches to people flying around at 10x normal move speed with aimbot. I need to win rounds to get my power up, but damn is it painful to play.

Yeah, I love survival. It's where I spend most of my time. The number of wallhacks I've seen is unreal. Aimbot is less common, but still happens often enough to be a huge headache. The full Monty with all the flying and instant supers and heavy ammo or full auto is like a unicorn, except I've seen too many to call them unicorns over the years. I've noticed there are way less cheaters between 12-11pm PST. Before noon or after 11 at night, the number increases like crazy.

@@ShutchyerLips those are the peak hours for Asia. Nearly every obvious cheater I run into has an asian character name. The worst part is that a lot of them play from lan cafes so they don't care about bans etc.

I still play Trials and never run into cheaters. My teams strat is to load in and then jump off the map HARD. We do this until we've completed the Weekly bounty and then we bounce. It's the NEW M E T A!

Trials needs some sort of protection for the bottom and middle-tier players. When you play in your first matches against guys with 50 flawless wins constantly why would you care? Eventually most players dont and just jump off the map for the bounties. Now only the streamers, the recoveries, and the cheaters play.

This is why I have given up on trials and watching what you go thru here just seals the deal for me. After playing against plenty of cheaters myself last night (verified them thru trials report) it has really just taken the life out of me playing pvp in this game. Going from playing comp and trials every season and holding a decent K/D to games like this back to back, there is no point in me even trying. I'll stick to playing all the PVE content and leveling all my characters but I wish ya the best of luck and I'll pop in when you stream

yea, this hit my youtube recommended, figured i'd give it a glance. I quit a few months ago. People have this conspiracy theory that Bungie is profiting from the cheats somehow, and while I laughed at the absurdity of that idea when I first saw it mentioned in reddit, I sadly cant think of a more plausible explanation as to why people can get away with SO much. The stuff people are doing suggests the server side checks are nearly absent.

I had this happen 2 games in a row a couple weeks back. First game into my mercy pass (I'm really bad), infinite wardcliff. I reset my pass and thought "Good riddance, well now that that happens, lets hope I get some good matches". The very next map I get a teleporting colony user who teleported onto our side and nuked us. Luckily, after resetting my pass, I just had regular sweats wiping the floor with me.

You have to be a content creator to be taken seriously when reporting cheaters. The average player is totaly ignored. Destiny2 PVP endgame = jumping off map for bounty. It's honestly more enjoyable than playing against cheaters

There's a financial incentive to cheat, too. Recov services will sometimes charge as much as $400 or more for godrolls on difficult to obtain weapons, and as long as there are people willing to pay them, they'll always find ways to make that process more time efficient. They don't give a fuck if the account gets banned. What are they gonna do, complain to Bungie that they paid some guy from Russia $300 to farm Igneous Hammer on their account and he used cheats?

Oh cmon he plays this game since the beginning. Ofcourse he will have the spares. The real question is why he didnt have that exotic in the bank and had to put it from collections but maybe he doesnt have enough vault space. Aside from that if you play and do your bounties you will drown in shards. If you also play nightfalls you will also have more than enough cores, prisms (mainly from 1310). If you can do the 1340 nightfalls consistently you will also have a lot of ascendant shards.
