Thanks for the awesome video. I would love to see some full Nano Build series. With some cool upgrades to consider down the line. Every series I've watched has taught me something new and useful so I'm sure it would be helpful to see your views.
These informational videos are amazing. Would love to continue to see a lot like this!!! I love Vic’s showcasing, but I live this informational approach!
Such a treasure trove of coral and aquariums to cover in your store. Really enjoy these deep dives and the tank tours. Looking forward to having the opportunity to visit your stores in person some day. Until then… see you at RAP NYC!!
Man it’s almost impossible to find a tank with exceptional wire management in a reef tank. I would love to see y’all do a walk through on what to do when setting up a new tank and just getting the wiring right. Most overlooked aspect in the hobby
I have a sump and cable management video up on my channel that might give you some ideas. 2nd from last video. The main trick is to try and mix neatness and ease of access in equal measures.
I love a tank tour, but I’m absolutely here for more informational content mixed in! Would love deeper dives on the feeding protocol you guys use that we’ve heard some about over on BRS. I know you make your own food, but some more detail on that would be great. Also how you design flow for the tanks and if corral placement is something you have in mind from the beginning, or if it evolves more organically.
I love this! You say zero phosphate like it's nothing. I've been chasing numbers to keep any sort of phosphates in my tank. After two months of dosing Neophos and odd time calcium nitrate I'm still trying to get rid of those dinos. But loving your new content man and keep up the great work!
Hi Josh. You asked for feedback on what I’d like to see. I’ve really enjoyed your last 2 vids they are significantly different than what Victor does. I really enjoyed the level of detail you got into about the coral placement and the fine detail of the flow. I’d like to see your detailed take on other topics within reefing. I’ve noticed with WWC videos you tend to assume a fair bit of knowledge on the part of the viewer especially when pointing out corals in tanks. Maybe you could assume slightly lower knowledge in your viewers when talking about coral types and coral placement especially. Eg these 3 on the bottom are all mushrooms, they’re on the bottom as they need lower light. PAR levels would be around xyz, they do/don’t need target feeding. Etc etc For me personally after 2 years watching WWC and BRS videos I have a lot of general knowledge on all the equipment and techniques, it’s definitely coral placement and care requirements of different corals where the gap in my knowledge is. Thankyou for all the great content. WWC & BRS is all I ever watch on RU-vid. Jamie , England
It's different for each tank depth and length. This being 36" long it's set at 50-60% on the blue mode with the frequency on the 4th dot on the controller. This is not Mobius programmed.
@jdearel1 This is exactly what I was hoping for. Josh, your style of informative videos goes way past (this is the equipment, this is how we feed, etc). You explain the thought behind creating the tank, you talk about placement of each coral and why AND give us the name of the coral and fish. You even discuss why something wasn’t done for this particular tank and how you remedied that (no tangs but a ton of crabs). I think you know exactly what us reefers are looking for in content and you will do great presenting at RAP Texas. One question on tank, the green coral on the right side front that looks like broccoli rabe, what is that and does WWC currently sell it?

Hey, thank you for the video… Seeing testing and evaluating water perimeters are nice.. learning tips to keep water clear and tip top shape would be my recommendation…
There are two considerations here for me to answer. If you have a cabinet that covers the bottom inch or two of your tank you won't see it...if not that would drive me nuts personally. And the easy cleaning ability that Reborn offers will be negated if you leave the sand. I say remove... it but do it slow and culture the reborn first.
With the lighting , i know it switches to blues around 12 noon . If i wanted a longer period of how it starts out , and have that running longer then the blues . Would that be ok or is that to much of a time frame ? I have LPS , Zoas , mushrooms. Dont really know how to create my own lighting preset with the radions.
Have you had any issues with bacteria infections with torch corals? I lost a colony i'd had for over 5 years after adding an Aussie gold, brown jelly claimed all heads one after the other. Frogspan and hammer were unaffected.
Looks like a Sinularia Leather! We should have some frags hiding around our farm! Email Contact@worldwidecorals.com and someone will be able to help :)
My living room tank is almost the exact same dimensions as the tank in this video, and I've always loved the way it looks whenever we visit WWC... I used the same lights and pumps so when I set up my tank, I used the lighting template for this tank also. ...... but now Josh is saying he only has a single MP40 on the WWC tank, and I have an MP40, 2 Neros, and a RedSea Gyre.....so I'm really second guessing my flow!!!
@@jdearel1 it just be pretty gentle right Josh? I notice the hammers/frogspawn in the back of the tank hardly get hit by the flow, yet they look so happy and colorful. I’m trying to mimic this in my tank as I’m only trying to keep LPS and softy. Would you say less flow is more sometimes?
@@reefingislife it is very gently. But if you watch every so often things whip around. The goal is to produce enough flow to lift the waste into the drain yet soft enough for corals like torches and frog spawn. Blastos, mushrooms, acans, zoa's and other softeies fit into the same realm.
@@jdearel1 I have a Waterbox 130.4 with 2 MP40’s on each side of the tank. My rock scape is a long islands in the middle of the tank. Any tips on where to place my MP40’s so that I’m not blasting the rock/coral? Right now I have my pumps on 15% because they’re so strong
@@reefingislife it's a long and skinny tank so I would probably position both of them forward and high opposing. That tank is probably fine with one mp40. However two will cover better than one even if low. We tend to set one at a low content pace and the other randomized. Example green and yellow. Start by setting the green with the other off for a few days . Keep in mind it will be low, you are only looking to see if you can find the capacity of your tank to handle the constant. Then after a few days turn the other on- set on yellow and start by turning it up 1 dot a week on the controller until things are unhappy. Then back it down 2 dots. Give it a shot
