Just watched a ton of vids on a bunch of chairs and finally decided on this model. Your video was one of the big factors in my decision. Great video. Concise and detailed at the same time. Hit all the points of concern for me. Thanks for the honest review!
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. Also, I am replying to you on this chair, still using it today as my main chair, my Maingear as my backup.
@@ericklara8930 over 1 year old and this is still my 2nd favorite chair, I keep 4 around, but this one I use the 2nd most it is sooooooo comfortable and has held, happy I could help my friend, you will love it.
Dang the mighty maingear forma chair was finally defeated! I can’t complain for the price my maingear is still going strong, will give this Vertagear chair a shot if mine ever gives out for sure!
Yeah for sure, the maingear is a great chair, no doubt about it. But the vertagear has dethroned it. Now will be the test of time, let's see if it can last 4 years or longer like the maingear has.
@@ThisBytesForYou I may have I'm going to watch the video again.. I really get a kick out of how well you explain things. You are super erb That means superb
First off thank you for this very Informative video on this chair, and I love how you mentioned your height because I am also 5'6 amd that was one of my concerns. Anyway thanks again.
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. I will mention again, as I have mentioned in the video, I LOVE this chair, it's my #1 right now. In my office I have this chair as my primary and my Maingear chair as my secondary. I will give the Maingear lots of credit as I have had it for 4 years now and its as firm and plushy as day 1, this chair I have had since October, not a long time but it still feels great today. I try to mention everything about me on this, because I feel it is VERY important, also the weight. If I were a 100 pound guy and say its comfortable, I could lay on a blanket and say its comfortable, because its not a lot of weight, but at the time of this recording, I was 235, and it was comfortable, that means something. Also, just in case, I mention it, some people missed it, for the first 2 weeks, maybe a little less, it will feel a little hard, it has to get used to you and the weight, but after that, it feels great. Thanks again bud and I hope I have helped you.
Thank you so much my friend, I am LOVING this chair as for now, the 2 chairs in my office are this and the Maingear chair. Maingears been in the lead for 4 years now. Let's see when either gets dethroned haha. Thanks again bud and thanks so much for stopping by.
So far, what is your main chair? I'm getting crazy trying to decide which one should i buy between PL4800, Kaiser 3 or Titan Evo. The Titan I'm about to step back cause all bad reviews about firm seat. I'm 300lbs so is hard to find something comfortable
Top 3 chairs are the Maingear Forma R Limited Edition, still my number 1, #2, and its VERY close to #1 is this Vertagear PL6800 and #3 is the Anda Seat Kaiser 3 XL Gaming Chair, I usually alternate between 1 and 2, the maingear is amazing and its lasted me 6 years now and it still looks and feels new.
Do you think this chair would be good for a 5.7 skinny person? Or would it be to tall and wide for me? I'm just afraid that the lumbar support will be to big for me and thus it will be uncomfortable.
I feel like the skinnier your are, the more comfortable it will be. It is a bit tough at first, but as you sit in it more, it softens up a bit to be more comfortable. The lumbar support, is adjustable, but I remove it, I barely ever use lumbar support pillows. I have it next to me right now, I am sitting on this cheaper chair since I just finished reviewing it, it is very comfortable too, but the Vertagear is cooler to the touch, so it feels nicer and will suretly last longer, this is the chair I just finished reviewing, I love it for the price, I just dont know about longevity: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0agcp7YaQhc.html
Hello friend, very good review, I have a question regarding the seat cushion, is the cushion too hard? How does it compare to the seat cushion on the Ada Seat Kaiser 3?? I have heard that the cushion on the Ada Seat is very soft and comfortable.
So far out of all the chairs I have reviewed, this is still my main chair, I love it, I dont stream but I edit videos all day long (when I am not at my day job)
Hello Iggy, sorry for my English but I am writing to you from Peru here where chairs like secretlabs do not arrive and there are always difficulties in that regard, I found a store that sells this 6800 model for 485 dollars, would it be okay to purchase it for that price? Actually, I didn't find many videos in Spanish about this model and I liked your video about the chair. I'm 1.86 meters tall, so I have a doubt if it would be good to buy this Vertagear since for the price I could be taking a risk. I only have that doubt. I can find other generic brands here but I don't know how long they can last.
The chair is good, based on the elevation from 1.79m to 2.07m, I am 1.70m and it's great, actually my 2nd or 3rd most comfortable chair still today. This is an amazing chair my friend, you will love it. Also, I am Cuban, so si quieres, podemos hablar en español, pero tu traducción era buenisimo. Thanks so much for your kind words and support my friend, it means the world to me.
Hi thx for your review, im so interested in buying this chair, but I'm kinda worried about if the chair is hot, because I live in a hot city and I really like this chair but I was thinking in one maded on Fabric, so can you please tell me if this chair is good to have even if I live in a hot city? Thx for all, hope you can answer.
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. As for the heat,... I don't feel it get hot, but I have my AC at 63°F almost year round, I love it cold, that being said, again, it doesn't get hot.
Hey I have a question is the entire seat all cushion? The reason I ask is I bought a gaming chair and it was for big and tall and the edge of the chair was reinforced by metal bars which dug into my legs. Which is why I ask is the whole seat cushion?
Hello Iggy, this looks like a very good chair for me as I come in around 6ft, but as the video released eight months ago do you have any qualms with how the vertagear chair is holding up? Also should I consider an officer chair or ergonomic chair instead? 😅 - btw I love the video good energy ❤
I use 2 chairs in my office, this chair and this chair: ;ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5sH7tPrpZSo.html, they are both the most comfortable chairs I have reviewed, and thanks so much for your kind words my friend, it means the world to me.
Hey Iggy - I may be ordering (pre-ordering since only the purple is in stock right now!) one soon. One observation - I believe you put the paddles on backwards, not as in A in the B spot, but, I think they’re supposed to be facing forward. So, take them off and turn the paddle either forward or backwards 180° and reinsert them. Looks kinda awkward to raise and lower the seat the way you have them in the video. Look at the images on the website for reference (or instructions, maybe?). Anyways, thanks for the video and hope you enjoy your New Year’s celebration with your family & friends!
You are right, I did do it backwards, but it feels right to me backwards, the other way would feel odd, since I have it this way already, it really does not mater though, it would still work the same way, promise. Very happy you enjoyed the video and I had a great time, I hope you did too.
Hi Iggy, thanks for the review, I come from a PL6000 (The seat cushion is too hard now after 3 years) and I'm having a hard time choosing between the 6800 and the 4800. Im 6 ft. and on the husky side. According to vertagear's recommended dimensions i fit on both chairs. Any thoughts on which to choose? Thanks!
Hello my friend, and always a pleasure. You've got a foot on me haha but I am also husky, I find the 6800 VERY comfortable, but the 4800 looks almost identical, with some more RGB flare, kinda cool I would say, that might be the only difference, I am not entirely sure, but they have only send me the 6800, so I am not sure, I would hate to misguide you. I like the 6800 but it is a little firm, but still comfortable, like the miangear one I showed here.
Ooff... this one or the Noble Chairs Hero... they're roughly the same price, and both should fit my 6'4" - 230lbs broad frame... Do you have any experience with Noble Chairs? The pro is that they're made in Germany and I live in Holland so customer support and replacement parts would be easier to get a hold of. But the downside is that you can't try either chair out physically before buying. I just want a nice comfortable chair, not something that's hard as rock and makes your butt go numb (like the stories I've heard about Secret Labs chairs). What do you think?
sorry bud, I have never reviewed a Noble chair, but I know what you mean about going numb, you won't have that issue with the Vertagear, I can tell you because I have been using that chair since I reviewed it and I am 241 now.
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you.
yeah they are supposed to be the most comfortable, but stupidly expensive, while this chair is not cheap by any means it is much cheaper than the Herman Miller, I am still trying to land one of those to review.
we will see, so far they have ignored me 3 times but no worries, their issue not mine, I get to demonstrate incredibly comfortable chairs but I am so very happy you are enjoying it my friend.
I looking for a chair to use both gaming and working at my desktop station. I weight 300 pounds (135kg) and I'm 5.7ft tall (1,75m). Between Vertagear and the Cougar Armor Titan Pro, which one do you recommend? Thanks!
@@carloscaaete Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. The Titan Pro is comfortable for about an hour, the Vertagear, probably all day.
agreed, and I have sat on a few of those and I will tell you, this chair is amazing, and totally passed my 2 week test and will become my permanents workstation chair.
sadly, I have never reviewed a secret lab chair so I can't comment, many say they are comfortable, but they may not have sat in this chair, I've reached out to them, but they have never replied.
Yeah that's the general consensus with most chairs but after sitting in so many, this to me is the most comfortable which this dethroned my previous #1, I go over it in the video. I still want to try the secret lab to see why everyone obsessed over it so much and why you dislike it, very curious.
@@ThisBytesForYou sry but my english isn't good. I heard this from a lot of people ¨Gaming chair will damage your lumbar vertebrae(idk if i wrote this word correctly) sry if im being annoying.
@@singsingfangay6342 you're not being annoying you have just been missinformed, I was born with a slipped disk my back always hurts but it hurts much less in these chairs, I as a person with back injuries is telling you this
well, the 6800 supports more weight, so it will be more comfortable the lighter you are and it does have the vera air which helps keep you a litter cooler, and the contour max and Hygennx to keep it clear, and the coffee smell for a bit but no, the pl6000 should be comfortable but if you are planning on getting rid of it anyway, then yes, I do love this chair. I have never said in the 6000 so I can't give you a true comparison, I sit in the 6800 daily and for hours and I love it, but money is money, are you looking to replace the 6000?
It is a great chair, so if you have the money and you have a place to put the 6000 go for it, I have a link in the description to purchase it if you like.
@@ThisBytesForYou yes i watched all the cougar videos too.. the problem is only the titan pro and an msi one (ch130) are available where i live, either one of those or local office chairs which i have one of them but not that great in terms of the gas lift quality (chair keeps going down and moving by itself which is really annoying) i weight about 260lbs and i am about 5,7
i know the vertagear is a lot better but sadly i can't get it my question is from your prespective should i get the titan pro cause i heard a lot of complians about discomfort and backpain from people that got it?
its comfortable, but the cushion is not very thick, so your butt hurts after maybe an hour. You are .1 inches taller and weight 25 pounds more than me (I was heavier, but I dropped 45) and sadly, the heavier we are, the more the cushion helps. The MSI and Cougar look similar though but the MSI can take up to 330 pounds, the cougar 352... so the cougar would be more comfortable than the MSI... I would have to say Cougar between the 2.
Ahhhh that magic number hahah, I love it. Thanks bud. Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. I have had the chair now for 4 months, it still feels great, just like the maingear.
Thanks for doing actual measurements in the vid. Can you double check the seat depth tho? The website says it's 17 inches, which is crazy short and why I stayed away from it... But your tape mesure said diff
sure, since it is my main seat now, its 20.5 from the point the back hits the seat (I don't measure under the back, since your butt wont sit there), 17 really, well I can kind of see what they mean about 17, it;s like a little dip in the seat, but thats where my tail end of my butt goes, but 20.5 is what I measure. If you are interested, here is the Vertagear link or the Amazon link. If/when you do get it, after you put it together, don't judge me just yet, hahah, give it a week or so, maybe less, then it will get comfortable. It contours to you, I love this seat. You can find it here on my Vertagear Affiliate link: bit.ly/3UR9deI If you prefer Amazon, check out this affiliated link: geni.us/zx8jY
@@ThisBytesForYou thanks, I'm thinking of getting it now if you say it's not 17. I e more ques then, is there a maximum setting on the tension knob under chair? If so, how easy is it to tilt and rock on a scale of 1-10 when maxxed? I need a ton of resistence
@@varunaX that I cannot comment on, I just did it now, I can never tell a difference, tightened all the way or loosened, it's not flimsy but its not incredibly taught. Though you can lock and unlock it from rocking if you prefer.
@@ThisBytesForYou like you turned the knob and you hit a max threshold? Some knobs have an 'infinite' amount of tension and won't stop turning till it basically locks without using the lock lever. I'm 6'5 so I need a chair with enough tension to rock me forward when I lean back
How big and how tall? Like 6'5 280lbs? My issue is the bucket seats forcing up the outer sides of your thighs. Probably should've listened to the whole video.
OMG I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT ALL. I was watching you type and you just going to town. I'm up to four letters an hour now in my typing skills. LOL MAYBE SIX. WHAT PART IS THAT KNOCKOUT THING I DIDN'T GET TO SEE IT YET AND I LOOKED. I will get back to you in a bit I'm looking for the Q on the keyboard.
it's where I compare the maingear to this chair, no worries and as for me, I learned to type back in the day with a type writer, you did too I am sure and I can type about 70 words per second, not the fastest but not the slowest ;)
@@ThisBytesForYou I’m 6’0 tall and the PL6000 sits at around 24 inches from (ground to seat) which is a good height for me … I like that high sitting feel where legs can hang off without touching the ground
interesting, I like to have my feet firmly planted, but my feet always hurt, I will see if that helps, but yeah, that does suck, sorry friend. I hope to have more and find out more for you.
@@ThisBytesForYou Yaa I’ve been trying to find a chair that sits at least 24 inches high … can’t find much besides the PL6000 but they don’t make them anymore
@@MSKH1970 it's super comfy, it wasn't at first, like the other chair but after a week, it sunk in... I made about 30 takes on this video, I wonder if I forgot to add that in there... oh boy hahah.
Ekkk, that sucks, but I feel you, I''ve been there. I will tell you this chair is awesome. When you first sit on it, it's hard, but it forms to you, so in a week it will be super comfortable, it's awesome.
got 4 years outta my 6800 before the cylinder started to go. attempted to call to buy a replacement and just got sent to a voicemail about 5 times. i mean come on
