This episode has only been requested by one bestie, but that was truly all the convincing I needed. I have been wanting to cover a Catfish UK episode for the absolute longest, and here it finally is! Cole and Abbie, Season 1 Episode 4, is definitely an episode that left me feeling confused, on a number of things. This is the ONLY episode that has left me even more confused at the end than the beginning. It truly has a number of twists and turns that can only be understood by watching this video, the episode OR better yet, both. Now, I have very strong opinions, so of course I'm excited to hear your thoughts, feelings and opinions down below in the comments. you’re absolutely right, this whole story is clout cringe. it was an advertisement for their content. their whole story was too vague, they did not show their work lol. it’s like they came to the producers like, “we have a dramatic problem that is threatening our marriage, a jealous sibling, and a twist ending with a surprise villain! but in the end it’s all a just a misunderstanding, and nothing is immoral or illegal so it’s safe for tv!” 😂

I clocked it as fake as soon as we went from focusing on the brother to then talking about some moderators. That random switch made no sense imo. Then it in fact being a moderator? Yeah ok lol they were def using this show for attention.

It was definitely a clout chase. Everyone gets increased engagement, even the "jealous" brother added a smidge of drama but he benefits too.

I was so proud of her saying Dumfries right. Even fellow Scots say Glasgow wrong so 😂 this episode was filmed when there was still heavy lockdown restrictions in Scotland. I grew up in Dumfries and Galloway (and recently moved back to the area) and know people who know these people. 💀💀💀💀

I know who you mean and I guess they are somewhat similar in how they present themselves, however I don’t think Nikki was anything other than a fall guy. The couple were defo in this for clout and even if the case was real it was the brother and then dressed up as Nikki.

British/Scottish people will add an extra “R” sound after a vowel like A or E. That’s why it sounds like they’re calling him “Ubar”.

I guess maybe the stress could have caused issues, but only if they already aren’t getting along… or maybe causing suspicion amongst them like are u cheating or did you cheat with a crazy stalker… or like you said maybe one wants to disappear off of social media and the other doesn’t… just feels so weird to be like this is breaking up our marriage rather than this is making us fear for our kids….
