Honestly, while it's obvious that Carl92 KNEW where the song was from, he probably didn't say where the source was from because he thought that the song was available on the internet in its original form (without the porn sounds).
"Was it worth it"? ...YES! It doesn't matter what the source is, lost media is always worth finding because the whole point of lost media is to give proper credit to the original artists who make the music. There's no shame in watching adult films. Assuming the 92 in his name means he was born in 1992, Carl92 did nothing wrong by asking what the BGM in a adult film is.
Even if the source of this song is rather "naughty", I'm just glad that the search is finally over & that we don't have to deal with all the fake claims of where this song is from.
I do not care in what source material the song was found. I am absolutely STOKED it was found at all. I was worried everyone involved in the production might be dead and that it would never be found, but now we find that the people involved are not only alive and well, but super happy to be involved. My only concern is that a true studio version of this track will not see the light of day, and that we will instead have to rely on fan remakes and/or a subpar "official" release that has been re-recorded.
The song was written by a man named 'Christopher David Booth' and he is still alive and well! I saw a tiktok video of him doing an interview about the song, and I believe currently he's redoing the song with clear audio so that the sounds of the adult film are not in the background.
I remember my theory: Since it was rumored to have come from Spain, but had an NTSC tone, my best guess was that it was from the American Forces Network. They have a base on the Southern coast of Spain, and if I remember correctly, all of their broadcasts are NTSC regardless of territory. Since we had also thought it was from a PSA, it would be more likely to come from there, as ad breaks are all PSAs rather than normal ads.
I understand that it’s pretty shocking that it came from where it did, but I do think that a lot of people are totally overreacting to this. Porn has always existed and a song being used in porn doesn’t inherently make the song of less value. Neither does watching porn make you a freak. Most of the time it’s just an addiction people can’t control, and and makes sense why Carl92 didn’t want to admit what he was actually watching. It wasn’t even that hardcore or anything, it’s just a standard 80s adult film. The average internet hentai is ten times more extreme. I’m just grateful the song has been found at all, what a massive accomplishment the internet has made.
I find it kind of sad that That was my first idea that's probably where the song came from. From a spicy film. Because it really did sound like those Type of songs, from how TV and the internet make those of songs Out to be. Sadly I completely forgot about it. It would have been funny because I basically predicted the future without telling anyone
Am I the only one absolutely delighted by the fact that this came from an ✨adult film✨? What if… Carl92 was actually trolling us this whole time and just wanted us to all stumble upon some 80s heavy mustache p0rn 😂 my guy knew exactly where it was from 😎
yeah I mean it's extremely obvious he knew where it came from, it cuts before moaning even. One of the theories is that he had the full song but was embarrassed.
@@LimeLoaf I would like to believe he wasn’t embarrassed at all and that he was just sending us on an elusive scavenger hunt for his favorite vintage p0rno lol. That’s my personal theory!
Atleast the lyrics wasnt that bad. Its just the film sounds since it was ripped from a scene but its a great thing that Christopher Booth (the composer) would remake it and judging by the sneak peaks posted by mr. booth, it would sound the same (i hope)
always thought it was a hoax.. i literally jumped when i got a notification that it got found (glad it got more people into lostwave tho, it definitely helped the golden age)
