The Impressive Intelligence of their little girl and her Fab Style !!! Wonderful!!! I bought my Matilda a yesr ago, just over and now I'm about to pick up my 2nd van and live between there and my narrowboat. Totally Free to Live Where Ever We Please !!! Hehe !!! Yeahhh !!!

I agree! It’s also so great to see kids doing hands-on projects and construction work. I loved doing that kind of stuff as a kid and sometimes worry that young people in this age don’t get enough opportunities to work with their hands

The UK equivalent of high school ends at 16 years old and schooling starts around 3 to 4 years old. Or at least it use to, I was born there and use to walk to school by myself at 4 years old. Education in the UK is more advanced than the US so no surprise this young girl has a good vocabulary.

Well...except the part about “it was really hard for her” to downsize to a box of stuff and no permanent house. This will be unpopular, but although I think this is a great lifestyle for the adults who chose it, having raised multiple kids I think it would not be their choice if the children are over 3 or 4. Especially having a young girl with virtually no privacy and sharing a cramped room with the cats and both parents....would you want that at that age and growing, even if your parents were very nice? Also not a huge fan for putting minor kids on YT.

@@Itried20takennames i mean yeah it's debatable but it seemed like she's genuinely having a good time. i can see how it might affect her negativity, but even living in a normal house can have it's downsides. personally if i had a kid i wouldn't do it, but as long as she likes traveling and her parents are willing to stop if rosy doesn't like it then i don't really see an immediate issue.

@Dom Van Are you the person in the video? If so, I have a question. You said you had your books in storage, but your daughter had to get rid of lots of things. Does she have things in storage too? I'm asking because I feel it is mean and unfair if she had to get rid of almost all her things but you could keep your books. Books are important, don't get me wrong, but valuing her things as lesser and requesting she get rid of most of her things while keeping your own seems... not good.

@@KaylahDemi I'm not sure, but it could be possible that the young girl would outgrow her interest in her childhood toys, etc. Also, it is possible that she could have chosen a few special items that went into storage with the books but not mentioned...

It is so refreshing to not see just another “typical” sprinter conversion full of subway tile and a skylight that cost upwards of 50k+. Not that there’s anything wrong with those; they’re beautiful. But there’s something so comforting and accessible about this van. That outgoing little girl will have stories to last her lifetime. Happy travels x

The maxair in this vid is an expensive skylight at £400 Im unaware of a more expensive one that doesnt contain an ac unit Plus these are accessible, i dont know why people think they are so expensive I have this exact model on a 59 plate and i doubt its even worth 5 grand

Skylights don’t cost 50k lol. Plus they’re build may look ‘low cost’ but the van itself is a high end expensive build

A bathroom with toilet and shower... excellent. I see too many of these van conversions without bathrooms. Personally, I wouldn't want to do a build without one. I love the rest of your build, by the way!

Thats because she is around adults most of the time sadly these kids become spolied n dont know how to interact with kids my neighbor is home schooled n weird throws a fit when losing a game cause shes used to getting her way with adults i would never home school

If i saw correctly that one dog is missing a leg and it really warms my heart to see them loving and accepting him just the way he is :) it’s so sad that some people these days abandon or kill disabled animals

Westerners do everything for the heck of trend. Like tiny houses r a trend now..when thebtrend is gone they will come to their senses. By the how does this kind of living make sense for growing children?!

@@mrs.niludas8941 I've watched a lot of these van life videos and when you have children living in them they tend to love it. They meet people, make new friends, explore, it can be very educational and many are home schooled. The children are rarely over weight get plenty of exercise and fresh air.

@@janneal9156 Most people live "Out of" small spaces; spending more time in nature. Also become more crafty, imaginative, and self reliant. These skills come in quite handy when dealing with life, and aren't taught- but rather experienced. Unless you've lived like this, you really have no idea what it is really like; and limits are only that which you put upon yourself. Would love an update of this family ❤ Happy Trails❣

Totally wrong .. thats a smart kid brought up well by her parents.. houseless doesn't mean homeless . what a child needs to do well in life is support nurturing and a happy "home". What they actually learn at school ect is a small part of who you become in life . Mabey your up bringing was crappy who knows?. Your watching van life videos but hating on it ... Surely you have better things to do

You need to get a Helio shower bag. It’s got a foot pump and heats outside in the sun. I got the giant Helio and it lasts 15 minutes. Great water pressure. All in one bag.

Little suggestion, where you have the wiring running into the inverter, you should try to get the outer sheath of the wire clamped with the retaining clamp, rather than just the two conductors. You may find over time, the copper strands within the conductors starts breaking, and it will be unseen, potentially causing problems including heat and fire as well as appliance failure.

Yes the whole idea of a toilet in the small van with people and dogs and to also cook in a small space it's quite disgusting ......what were they thinking mush mash was right ......

Love that the van is yellow, warm yellow (the right shade of yellow which is most important as your lovely daughter says). I'm super impressed that you can fit in four people and four animals and it gives me hope that I can easily adjust to living in such a tiny space, just me and my two medium sized dogs. It's amazing that they all travel in that incredible space especially with the pets, my last hurdle was deciding wether to do this or not wit my cat because I was not going to leave my little love bucket now I feel so much better about taking him with. Loved this video, safe travels...😻😘

@Dom Van I take bucket baths in India every year not a problem. I grew up in the south in the US with outdoor toilet and tin pal baths. It's fine. I love the van.

My van is super quirky. She’s vintage and very colorful inside of her plain white wrapper. People are amazed when they see inside. Your colors inside are a lot like mine.

It is amazing the 3 of you PLUS your four fur babies live in there together and sometimes a 4th human. You have your van so well laid out and organized. When my minivan grows up she would like to be a Sprinter/high top also. Love how your daughter even helped with the build and showed an area of your home. I would be so proud of her. wow all this fit into that lovely yellow van. wow. for the shower, you can easily pick up those portable showers that campers fill up and hang on hooks (some are even solar-powered to enable heating. with so many more awesome builds out there i'm sure you'll discover great ideas when improving your build

Its so nice that they got all their pets with them, I dont come across many van living people who bring more than one pet and I also love how colorful everything is.
