I don't think he's the odd one out in the way you're putting it. I think the jocks pulled him in because they know that he's actually far cooler than they are.
Here’s the thing, that’s just how he is. He plays his role well. I personally couldn’t be religious or seemingly as responsible as him, but I’m nothing like him. Things I’m good at he’s suck ass at. We all have our place. Don’t desire for anyone else’s. You’d see their problems they have, and be improperly equipped to deal, and vice versa
I love how Wendigoon essentially gives a beautiful off-the-cuff sermon at the end that was so well spoken that it stopped them from swearing/blaspheming, only for them to do the most little brother prank at the VERY END!!! Love it
@@Dizzy5996 Bruh between his message here and what Chris Craighead said recently, they're well on their way to having me converted. At the very least, I've got a _lot_ of pretty deep personal thinking going on...
@@DonutOperator Love you, you big galoot. My 34-year-old son is a "Cody," too. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Kathy Lee Gifford for making it so popular... the beeyotch.
I know this is a little older so this probably won’t get a lot of attention, but Wendigoon described free will better than I’ve heard in 43 years of listening to preachers at many churches. I went back and listened to the last like 20 minutes at least three times. Anyway, love the content, love you guys, and I hope everyone has a safe and productive year.
@connor48880 In earlier podcasts superpowers are discussed. They made an "Offenders" superteam where everyone is allowed to pick their own super power, while the others on the podcast at the time find anoffset to the power. This has been an ongoing thing with many of their guests being asked what powers they want (and aren't already taken by others) and the rest of those present discussing hilarious offsets to that power. Cody's power he chose was flying, the offset that the others gave him was he has to shout racial slurs while he's using his power. Not sure how much time you have to burn, but the earlier podcasts are all amazing, and the "Offenders" discussions never fail to be hilarious with any of their guests.
That comment made me clutch my non-existent pearls after the 2 seconds it took me to remember what the offset to his super power is. I immediately pissed my pants and fell out of my chair laughing harder than I'd ever admit to during an interrogation. 🤣🤣🤣
This cast was killer. You all have the best energy. I usually listen to these in a different tab while I work but I just spent the last hour just sitting back watching and laughing my ass off. Phenomenal work to the guests the hosts and the staff. These shows mean so much to me lately. Big love
Man I keep forgetting you can donate through the comments but honestly there's better ways to support still these guy's are incredibly dumb and hilariously aurtistic and never fail to make us laugh so hard I've cried laughing every cast! 🤣 Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!
And likely the Bible if anything, is a text meant to trick or deceive people into following an evil entity. Old test god is evil, no arguments you can make there. “Hey satan, let’s make a bet, I’ll show you how MUCH people love me” -stage left, enters job
@@lindboknifeandtool My friend have you even read the Bible? Everything you just said is in direct contrast to the abundantly clear wording and message of the Bible. The message of the Bible is about the salvation God offers to us despite our fracturing of his perfect world. Furthermore, the God of the Old Testament is no different than the God of the New Testament. Both offer a hope in darkness, both bring justice to evil, both show an immeasurably loving, faithful, and merciful God. If Wendigoon, who explores all these horror stories in ridiculous detail is a devout Christian, you really think he'd be ignorant of what he himself believes? Especially considering he explained the Gospel in depth? If God is evil as you say then why does he offer you grace in the Bible, why does he offer you mercy in the Bible, why does he offer YOU--the person declaring him as evil--a hope for LIFE in the Bible? This God has said, in his Word the Bible, that he wants YOU to live in freedom away from the destruction you're walking towards. My friend, there is a hope in this life and beyond and it has been offered to you. I hope that you'll take Christ's hand and follow him out of darkness into the light of life! I want to see you in glory one day! I want you to be there, more joyful than we could ever understand! God has done the hard part, Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross taking your sin on himself so you can be free from suffering and evil! All you need to do is decide. Will you repent of your wrongdoings and follow him onto the light of life? Or will you remain in darkness... I beg of you, do not let these words fall on deaf ears. Consider them! Will you follow Christ? Or will you,--now knowingly--walk off the cliff into death eternal? I pray that the God of everlasting glory will draw you closer to him, and that you would follow Christ into the joy, hope, life and light he offers! I mean this with all the sincerity of my faith!
@@lindboknifeandtoolThe atheistic naturalistic materialist has no objective moral framework by which to discern any moral reality thus making what you say a lie. Why have you embraced secular Gnosticism and abandoned reality?
@lindboknifeandtool Amazing how you militant atheists, nihilist come out of the wood work to drag people down to your hell, like demons, but they don't need to bother you, you'll just do it freely.
This is probably the best example of controlled chaos ever. Chaos because of the insanity. Controlled only because of limited microphones. This needs to be the top episode
He is an inspiration to us all! He would totally be my “make a wish” choice. I’m so happy to see him finally be able to sit again! I think the counseling has done him good.
2 hours 13 minutes 18 seconds of smiling and laughing all wrapped up with a nice little bible sermon at the end. My face hurts now and I'm happy, thanks yall.
I never comment, even though I've been binging this podcast straight for months now, but I just gotta say... Christian "lore" and understanding demonology in a Biblical view is my tism. When Wendigoon went in depth on the later half of the podcast I was enamored, more so he spoke on little know truths of Lucifer at the very end. Thank you so much for this episode!!! Looking forward into diving into Wendigoon's content!!
If you haven’t already, watch his videos of “the lesser key of Solomon” and “the apocryphal books of the Bible” He also goes into some similar stuff on the PKA podcast
The last boop of the year 😂 Actually had to pause the video about 2/3 of the way through to catch my breath because I was laughing so hard. Well done gentlemen!
Wedigoon casually on a podcast with The 4 Horseman was something I didn't know i needed in my life. Gotta be my top 3 episode of Unsub. That boop by Nick was absolutely legendary!
Wendigoon and Brandon Herrara are the perfect example of Yin and Yang. Identical opposites and it's hilarious. It gives me "DON'T TALK TO ME OR MY SON EVER AGAIN" vibes
I hate visual horror. But during daylight hours I love watching his videos because he's so knowledgeable and passionate in all his work and it's so incredibly entertaining
I love how saying the word suicide will get you demonetized when we’re supposed to be raising awareness rather than suppressing messages about mental health.
Poor Wendigoon thought he had finally negotiated his way through this episode and even ending on a moral high note…. Only to get the boop of a lifetime.
I swear I wouldn’t be here if this podcast didn’t exist, it has brought such happiness to me in the darkest times in my life. I always know I can count on a weekly episode to cheer me up. Thank you Eli, Brandon, Nick, Cody, and every one I’d your amazing friends. Every one of your guys channels has helped me through a lot of things and I can’t express just how much I appreciate you all. Especially this time of the year. As I lost my grandfather, who was like a father to me, to lung cancer back in 2015. I was visiting him and my family at the time because he was on hospice and we didn’t know how long he was going to be around for. So my father, who had full custody at the time (now im 23 and an adult) let me and my brother go visit before he passed. Had to watch him pass, and in a rough way, that Christmas mourning. It broke me to the core for years after and the holidays just hasn’t been the same. Doesn’t help that my younger brother and his wife and kid are not visiting this year. Hes the only one that understands, and is spending time with his in-laws before he has to head back to base. Don’t see him very often since he’s in the navy, so it’s just been a tough time. Gosh, sorry, just all came out, my apologies. I hope you all and all my fellow viewers here have a merry Christmas and happy holidays. If any of you are going though as hard a time as me, don’t be afraid to leave a message and know someone is here with you.
Hey man I hear you these guys just have a way to bring happiness and laughs. Especially when we're all dealing with these tough times. Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
I agree, it doesn't change anything but it's nice to know i can laugh with a bunch of people who share similar values. These kind of folk dont eist really where i am.
Grew up in the NC woods, the most horrifying thing i ever ever witnessed was this one time me and some boys were hiking one evening and saw a deer standing in a clearing. It was just dark enough to make out only the outline. We stopped to watch it and it just stopped grazing, hopped up into its hind legs, looked at us with glowing eyes then pranced into the tree line. Still haunts us to this day thinking about what the hell that thing was.
This has to be my favorite episode of Unsubscribe that I've listen to and watched. It was SO fun hearing everyone just having a wonderful time talking with each other, laughing and getting off track in the middle of a topic, and being brought all together by Wendigoon's understanding of free will, followed by Rotund Wire Guy getting him with the oldest trick in the book. The best episode thus far.
I relate to Wendigoon throughout this podcast so much. It feels like when I hang out with my non-Christian friends. I love 'em, and they love me, but man do they like pushing my buttons at times with the content of conversation or jokes they make. Wendigoon handled it amazingly. This whole episode was hilarious as a result, and I'm glad Wendigoon was able to get some hard hitting truths in at the end without needing to get preachy. Those were really good to hear.
I have watched this one single episode maybe ten times now, and i stand by my statement that this is THE BEST unsub podcast ever filmed! I wish we could have brandon and his Christian little brother once more.
Heh, Appalacians are bad, but try the Ozarks. Every now and then you'll wonder which state you're in because you're just that confused by what you're looking at.
Yes dude! Could you imagine exciting out before the last second? I went back to watch several parts again. There's so much happening!!... then the boop
I get your point for sure. For me it has already replaced JRE as my favorite podcast. So long as Unsub keeps this trajectory and more people see the JRE as rolling on its downhill... Unsub has every bit'o potential to make it very far in the game. I remain totally optimistic!
@@ASqdrnDASRS is good sometimes, but REALLY bad sometimes. It's clear some of his guests are full of shhyt and lying through their teeth..... Like the one guy who was a janitor at a facility in Antarctica but swore we had alien crafts and off earth technology buried under the ice, 99.5% of his episode sounded like total horse shhyt. But then he has on people like Tony Cowden or the ethical white hat hacker, and you can tell they're reliving their stories in realtime.
Never in any podcast have I heard someone seriously break down real Christianity knowing what they are talking about and making it easy to understand at the same time, big props wendigoon
I loved this episode. The ending with Wendigoon explaining how death isn’t something to fear but a return to God really spoke to me. In the middle of listening to the whole episode my mother called and said after over a year of fighting cancer, she has a year to live. When the time comes, I’ll take wendigoons words and use them. I’m not one to get stricken with emotions around my family. I’m usually the one to be strong and guide my sisters in tough times. But hearing that news I had no idea how I could guide and help them after she passes. My mother, a strong Christian woman will be proud that I’ll have used a strong Christian message to comfort everyone else.
@MIKE_F44 as soon as Nick mentioned his mic and pointed to it I started laughing. I thought Isaiah was going to foil him by not looking down but noooooo, he just had to do it!
This is the hardest I’ve laughed, and I’ve genuinely needed a good laugh after how rough this holiday season has been. Thanks for keeping feel good in these hard times guys, it keeps me going.
I’ve heard about Wendigoon for a while and this podcast just sold me on going and becoming a fan. I love how he worked his way into sharing the gospel on this public platform that isn’t even remotely connected to faith. Continue your witness in the RU-vid space.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. 2023 has been the year from hell for me, and all you have helped make it a little more barrable. A while back, I believe it was the one introducing the new guests, y'all talked about content creation, your love for it, and all that you've learned. That really inspired me, but Wendigoon's content and personality in particular caused me to really think about what I was doing with my life. He and I have a lot of similar interests, and even look similar (I'm like Wendigoon and Donut's illegitimated love child). I'm a long time fanfiction writer and Redditor with a dying fandom, and I'm currently writing several books that I've been having difficulty with due to 2023 being the year from hell. A week and a half ago I got my hands on a microphone and have been playing with recording and editing software, and posted my first video earlier today. I just wanted to give a big thank you to Brandon, Donut, Wendigoon, Eli, and Fat Electrician (and Baddie and all of the guests from this past year) for making it possible. I don't know where RU-vid will take me, but at the very least it's been fun and is good experience talking in front of a mic. Thank you again, and much love and support to all of you. God bless, and Merry Christmas.
@@unsubscribepodcast I'm the one who's lucky, friend, and thank you. You honestly don't know how much I've appreciated this podcast, or you stopping by to reply to my message, and how much positivity you all have brought to me this year. Also, a big thank you for having Wendigoon on the podcast, and I hope he returns in the future. I love the guy, and he's truly an inspiration as both someone I'd like to emulate in front of the camera or behind the mic, but in my personal life as well. God bless, and I wish you all and your families a Merry Christmas.
What’s really scary about the mimicry thing is that we’re actually highly evolved to be able to detect when something looks human but isn’t it called the uncanny valley question is what was such a threat to us that we had to evolve that ability
I have heard a theory about this I like, but basically it was Neanderthals. When we were still coexisting, they were one of our biggest issues to deal with, and so being able to pick up on the differences in features was probably a life saver a lot of times
I feel like, thousands of years ago, enemy tribes would've been a very large threat, and being able to see an enemy in a bush or tree could be life or death.
It’s always so good to see the all the boys on together! I’ve been on a nonstop Wendigoon binge lately so I’m looking forward to the Fat Electrician/Wendigoon conversation!
The impact that SAR series had on NoSleep can't be understated. I remember being subscribed to the subreddit in the following months, and every other story posted involved the forest, people going missing, cryptids, working for a park, etc. in some way for quite a while.
So proud of Wendigoon dropping the Gospel when the opportunity presented itself. And so proud of the boys for letting him finish. I pray the Holy Spirit gives you ears to hear. Baruch HaShem. Love you guys, I’ve been listening to you all for a long time, just started hearing some of Wendigoon’s stuff recently.
Agreed. And he did an excellent job! I don’t see how anyone could watch that ending and not feel some type of conviction or some type of way in general. That was awesome and not only could you tell everyone there was feeling it but all of us watching felt that too! Wendi definitely is a mouthpiece for God. That’s for sure❤️❤️ ohh and if you’ve just started listening to Wendigoon, make sure you watch the Angels iceberg. It’s pretty awesome. Some of his Bible lessons are pretty cool too.
He’s a good example of what a Christian is like instead of what media and bad examples of christianity have showed people. Praying it makes people think.
I waited 2hrs and 13 mins for that BOOP! The teaser in the intro had me on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for it! Amazing episode guys! I really enjoy when all 4 of you are on and to have Wendigoon on and King Trout hopping in a few times, PERFECT!
I could listen to Wendigoon talk about the Bible all day. Awesome stuff, and while I don't know whether anyone else at the table is a Christian, it really says something that he can hold the attention and interest so many non-Christians by the way he speaks, not as a preacher, but someone who's interested in this sort of thing. His obsession with cryptids translates into Bibliology, and I just find that fascinating.
There definitely is this unexplained incomprehensible glass we are tapping on, and what will break through if it ever does will reshape how we think of things
I had a VERY weird experience during the tail end of the pandemic that this episode brought back in a rush! I'm from San Antonio and I was invited to a friend's place in Houston. I didn't know something rather startling about the city, it has underground shops downtown. Like you walk towards a Chase Bank HQ, go in the building and turn right, there's a set of stairs leading down. And there's offices, restaurants, shops, the whole bit. Well it's like 2 pm on a random Friday and NOTHING is open, no people except us. Creepy as hell!
