Jack Doherty is a little monster. I used to live near kids who were given dirt bikes one year for Christmas, and I was in a neighborhood that was NOT structured for such noise and chaos. The kids filmed and streamed their acts, and the parents egged them on. People in the neighborhood stopped going for jogs, parents stopped taking their kids around in strollers, pet owners stopped walking their dogs, and it got worse. During lockdown, they were making noise at all hours of the day and night. Many of us had no control of our sleep schedule because of the loud motors and yelling, and it interfered with working from home. The police said it was a "gray area" and even though a majority of the neighborhood went to city council meetings to demand law changes, we were ignored. It was a risky time thanks to lockdown, so no one tried to pull any vigilante acts. I was able to pack up my family and move after nearly two whole years of unhinged hell, and other families left as well. Still, we shouldn't have had to uproot our lives because a bunch of worthless parents allowed their feral kids to raise hell while they (the parents) sat inside and got high and drunk.
Oh no a bunch of kids playing outside on their dirt bikes inside of spending the whole day inside!!! Oh my god!! That is absolutely insane!! Those kids were having the time of their life. Quit being a Karen.

The very concept of "influence" makes me nauseous. Why would I let myself be "influenced" in any way by some random goof on social media? Have humans lost the ability to decide for themselves, without being led around by the nose by someone they have not, and will not, even meet? Don't follow. Lead. And the person to lead, is yourself.

Why? Just so we can ignore the horrific atrocities that he is commiting and allow it to poison the minds of younger generations? Honestly, this is a lose/lose. Speaking about him will give him the attention he wants, but ignoring it will allow him to not only continue this behavior, but even escalate it to where it would result in something he won't be able to undo and take accountability for.

It's almost maddening how brats like Jack Doherty gets away with all of those things. Where I live, you try to pull off even half of those stunts, you'll be found in a ditch inside trash bags in less than a month.

That may prevent people from risking to ruin their own life just to teach these imbeciles a lesson. But like I said, my gut agrees with you.

As the parent of a 6 month old, I'm terrified of my child aspiring to be like these people. Im trying to raise her with minimal technology. I do worry what will happen when she reaches school age and makes friends with ipad kids though.
@@commentresurrection1841truth. My kids are productive adults and Cartoon Network was craziness by that time. But I used to have discussions with them about fantasy vs reality , think about consequences of any action you take and be willing to face them, and most of all how lame it was to be a follower. They knew that behavior and language wouldn’t fly in real life because their dad wasn’t having it! I now know they did stupid shit. But I never heard about it😂 they were smart I realized they understood so I really didn’t censor much
Well ipads are not allowed in school normally.. And unfortunately now i see a lot of videos of children filming during class.. How is that possible ??? How can they be on their phones (smartphones that the parents provided) during class ?? (Why don’t the teachers take away their phones ?) As parents just don’t give them smartphones until they are 18, dumb phones are perfectly sufficient

Don't be. You can make a difference and these times are a lot better than the centuries before when children grew up in wars, famines, genocides, diseases and all the stuff that was ACTUALLY dangerous to them. I don't like the current times either but there's no need to be this dramatic. We live more comfortable lives than absolutely everyone before us.
Join the party I can provide the army no kids ever until the end of this process. As a gen Z I am surprised at how... My SPECIAL generation and younger are being raised , I was lucky to have a family that actually wants me to touch grass once in a while...
I totally agree with this but there is also a problem with the ones who choose the right road, go to college and end up with lots of student loans and work their butt off constantly to never get ahead. I can understand why the next generation is looking for something else.
Influencers used to be people who affected culture without actively trying and now people refer to themselves as influencers while trying to force people who actively ignore them to give them attention.
I do not why YT sent me here. I do not know who these people even are. But as a teacher it has been educational and explains some behaviours from my kids. I now know how to deal with this.
All it would take is 1 lawsuit against YT, or KICK, or TWITCH because of these idiots, and I bet they start getting peeps out. Just gotta make it more costly to have them on your platform than what they can bring in.

1:25 13?! That’s actually very old to get a RU-vid channel. Most kids nowadays get their first one at 6-8. At least, that’s what it’s like in my grade.
Does anyone remember Viva La Bam, wildboyz and Jackass? these types of entertainers have always been around. It's up to parents, friends and educators to keep reminding the younger children these kinds of behaviors aren't acceptable.

The fact that kids in school can’t read at this moment in time, tells me that the next generation is cooked. I thought my gen was bad. But I feel like every gen after mine and “alpha” is going to degenerate if we keep going down this path of Jerry Springer esque degeneracy and constant consumerism that numbs us. But I see no hope until society crumbles around us.

As a newish father, we give our son his iPad like once or twice a day. But not to watch RU-vid. Only to watch Disney movies or a Netflix movie. I don’t blame parents for giving their child an iPad, as in some cases, it helps (our son has adhd so he can barely sit still) while you get some things done around the house. It’s the parents that aren’t monitoring what their kids are watching or doing on he iPad that it becomes the problem. Also, how often they are one it. I would never allow my kid to watch RU-vid (until he’s much older) as there are so many things he can end up seeing that I don’t want him to. Even on kids RU-vid, it creates an unrealistic reality that he could interpret as something real. If you’re a new parent, my advice would be to not allow them to use it for hours on end, and make sure they are not on RU-vid. I have friends whose kids scream and yell when the iPad gets taken away. My son is used to only having it for about an hour, so when we take it away, he just walks over and plays with his toys or we go and do an activity with him.
Exactly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with children having electronics. I don't know why people try to use that as an insult, but you can tell the ones who say it very obviously don't have kids of their own because their outlook on parenting never makes sense. If you let your child watch TV or use a computer, it's perfectly fine. But give them a tablet and suddenly you're a bad parent who's letting Apple raise them.

children should not be looking at screens... no internet.. no TV .. no video games... or if at all, very limited and monitored by their parents. much better for them to read books, play board games, do puzzles and play outside.
As usual, someone who IS NOT a parent is saying how children should be raised. I don't know where you all are getting such lousy takes, but it's 2024. We are living in a digital age. This notion that kids should be prevented from using technology makes absolutely no sense. If you're giving to give your opinion on the life of kids, please put yourself in their shoes before forming it. Too often I see adults make such far out assumptions regarding situations and issues they know nothing about. Just the other day, i saw a comment from someone that said without social media, bullying wouldn't exist.
