I am 65 years old so every hour counts, at this stage. After all, how many more years of ball-tingling do I have left? So I value my time. And yet I watched this video, as I watch all Andrew’s others, and I don’t at all regret spending the time. The metaphors are worth it all by themselves, and the watch info isn’t bad either!

My regrets similarly occurred early in my collection phase. Buying... - Watches that proved to be too large. - Watches that wear too heavy. - Watches that had excessive complications. - Watches that had poor (obscured) readability. - Watches that had poor accuracy. - Watches with bracelets absent of micro-adjust. Quick adjust is best.

lol; brilliant writing! Almost had me in tears. My first "luxury" watch was purchased in 1997 a solid 18K gold Movado 1881 with a 34mm case. It was Swiss and Gold! All watches were smaller then, and I hadn't found the on-line watch community yet. I still have it, it's a little small, but it's beautiful - I got a nice discount and its ETA automatic movement is cheap to service. I value it to this day. It was after all the start of the watch collecting journey. Yes- I know a Rolex and Omega would have been a better choice...But in time I got both of those anyway.

I bought a Super Squale because I wanted to scratch a vintage style diver itch without going as far as a Black Bay. The clasp on the 18mm bracelet feels so flimsy that I worry about breaking it every time I use it. This is a £1000 watch with a clasp that belongs on a £50 watch. As long as I'm looking at it from an angle at which the clasp isn't visible, I still love the watch. But every time I touch a sturdier clasp I'm reminded of the clasp disappointment that is my Super Squale.

For me its my Tudor Black bay ceramic. I love this watch in theory but it hurts my wrist really badly because of how wide it is from lug to lug. The clasp on the band doesn't help in this regard either, and so I can't wear this watch at all. It currently is sitting in my watch winder waiting for it to gain enough value to be worth selling (I never sell watches, but I can't wear this one so.... ). I've tried all sorts of different solutions but nothing from a rubber strap to a nato strap makes this wearable for me. I actually originally was going to buy the black bay 925 but I was allergic to the silver alloy. When I returned it, I exchanged it for the ceramic. Ever since my experience with this watch, I've been extremely careful with the size and bracelet of my purchases. If it has no micro adjustment or is on a strap, I don't buy it. It also needs to be 40mm or smaller or else I won't even consider it.
