I think some of it is because they’re streamers or friends with ones, and virtually every popular streamer (or someone trying to make it) has explosive, child-like reactions to keep their teenage audience engaged. This one is probably genuine, but people see a negative response to an extreme reaction and defend because (result wise) they do the same thing.

I'm fine with Star Wars Theory getting choked up at finally seeing Luke not portrayed as a complete joke. Was it jangle keys? Yes. Was the CGI terrible? Yes. Was the AI voice godawful? Yes. Did it makes sense why or how he was there? No. Did he at any moment ask what the fuck was going on with all the killer robots? No. But there was at least an effort to try to give fans something they wanted. But this? This fucking guy crying at a sequel trailer? Now THAT'S embarrassing.

Luke wasn’t key jangling, it made sense with the story, they just didn’t follow through with it later on. The CGI and voice were fine. It was established how he was there in a previous ep. He doesn’t need to ask what’s going on with the robots, they are obviously evil.

Plus SWtheory has a very specific emotional attachment. Star wars was something that helped him mentally cope with having cancer. It makes sense why he would react so passionately to something that was so close to him during a very harrowing point in his life, especially after watching it go down hill for so long. This guy is literally just a man child.

The first part of the trailer is just Rey standing in a desert...and this guy is bordering on bawling. I mean, it's okay to be excited for Star Wars (or at least it used to be), but _wow._ Then again, while I don't _cry_ when the Ravens win a close game, I _do_ run around yelling like a crazy person. Football is much more entertaining than Star Wars these days, though. Edit: I almost forgot--Kick Jay.

Two things. I thought it was for TFA, and I thought it was understandable. The fact that it's for TROS of all things.... He had to have known what the fuck people thought of Disney SW. And second, people think it's fine to cry over something you're attached to. But he starts ONE SECOND IN. It's incredibly impossible to hit this level of emotion with just the mention of the damn project.

I recall when people had a visceral reaction to the announcement of the FF7 remake, the demo's release, or when they first played the remake. And their reaction were more emotional than this... But it also had several years of anticipation and fan hope and dreams, a solid story and far more weight and history to the concept of a remake to what many saw as the greatest JRPG of their younger years. There was substance to react to. This is... This is somewhat sad to look at, I actually couldn't keep watching the guy and had to actually scroll down to the comments and just listen to this instead of watching it. It was just sad. Somewhat comical, but mostly sad.
