I was lucky to find em. What a great day! Go out and get em while you can! New Fisherman's Life Jigs and Swivels on the way soon! www.fishermans... 1.5oz Kastmaster used - amzn.to/2E1rmnd
Why the Question mark? I was driving. I got a notification on the phone. I looked at it safely while driving. I pulled over in a store's parking lot that I had no intention of shopping in. I watched a video of a nice, helpful guy fishing. Because that's what fishermen do. When you're not fishing you like to read about or watch others. And this is a fisherman's life.
I have never even imagined birds diving so close to shore. This video was nuts! I wish my father was alive to see your videos. I was raised in SF and we fished all over the Bay Area.
As a Gamer , investing almost 18 hours a day into competitive gaming, bootcamps and practices , I hardly ever get the time to see the light of day . . But ur channel has always been like an escape for me . . . While I'm about to sleep or during breaks. Always been a fan of you . Thank you . Stay lively and keep the butter flowing.
Hey Man! Been watching you since 2017! You've inspired me to create my own channel! Thank you for teaching and inspiring anglers all over the world... can't wait to see more stuff.
Big fan of the channel bro. I caught my first ever striper today on a 6.5 footer with a 3/4 oz kastmaster at OB. I learned a ton from you and More Than Fishing so thank you for the tips, videos and motivation. Let’s go!!
Glad to see you made it out there. Fish on!!! Yeah man, I lost a really big, big! bass using a white bucktail Mickey’s to 2 very large seals. Both seals literally came out of nowhere and chased the bass swimming hella fast diving in, then diving out, diving in, diving out. I wish I had video. They eventually got the bass really close to shore. I just didn’t want to hook any seal. Luckily, I was able to pull the hook out the fish, and I got my lure back. One seal took the fish while the other followed. It was an awesome sight. But yeah, be careful of those seals. Awesome day homey!!! Nice! 🐟👍🏆
Great vid! Love the catch and release. Setting a great example and giving us hope that the striped bass fishery recovers and we start getting back to what it should be. Well done.
I've only fished a handful on times in my life and never caught anything. I'm still hooked on your videos. Thanks for the uploads, your positivity and well executed content always makes for a good time. Much love from MN
You were more hyped in this video than other videos and obviously because the bite was good but I also think there is a fishermans energy you tap into when your successful not having to use a boat, and using only a kastmaster. Simple yet deadly with devastating results. Good video man
Thanks for sharing, your channel is great,! I hate to date myself, as a kid in the late Fifties early sixties on into the Seventies we lived in southern Arizona and it seemed that every other weekend my parents and I would end up somewhere in Baja fishing. The Kastmaster was and still is the best all around lure in my opinion ever made, from small Trout to big Striper's. Caught many a fish on those and still do. Thanks for bring back some of the best memories a guy can have....Fishing...well maybe girls too..
I remember back in the 1980s. The charter boats would back up into the surf and we would get 15 pound and bigger stripers. Those days are long gone. That last striper was really good one.
Damm I forgot about that, been so long since anyone saw that, and I was there, sometimes 3-4 boats backed into the surf,I don't think a boat captain would do that nowadays
@@dogsense3773 the san Francisco charter boats don't do it anymore because bait is so expensive. I remember when a scoop of bait was 15.00 in San Francisco. I fished on the Huck finn with Captain Jay and he would throw five or six scoops of bait into the water and stripers would be biting. Limits on big stripers in one hour.
@@andrewvillanueva4222 I remember guys on the beach, the ones who could cast extra far, having their line get caught with someone on the party boat, and having a tug a war
@@tatumdavidchuop1972 back in 1980s when I first started fishing in the on the san Francisco bay charter boats. We saw big stripers in the 25 lbs class all the time. We would have 20-25 lb stripers all over the deck. Limits in one hour. I haven't seen a 25lb striper in numerous year fishing san Francisco or on the beaches. What happened to all the big stripers l heard they stay in the Sacramento delta and in the channels.
Hey bro I’m a huge fan and I have been for over 3 1/2 years I’m 11 years old and love to fish and you were the reason for that love I live in Santa Cruz can we please go fishing sometime?
I liked how you didn't go bonkers on the first fish like other youtubers, and how you got so pumped just to be in them and big KUDO's to you for your fish handling skills letting that last one go which looked to be a pure strain with its unbroken lines (so I've been told at least)
Went out rock fishing and noticed anchovies were everywhere. ...and i mean EVERYWHERE! Every time we would change spots to get cods, we would come across another anchovy pod. They were everywhere. ... So where sand dabs. We weren't even going for them and they kept biting. Saturday was a good fishing day at the ocean.👍 best of luck.
I haven't seen a wide open striper fishing in years. I remember 1980s the charter boats would look for the pelicans diving. The captain would back the boat into the surf and we would catch 20lbs stripers. Catch 50 striper in one hour.
"Look at the fish look at the fish" I can't because got distracted by your left hand 😂. So sad I wanted to see this fish cooked in butter and severed with avocado 😍
Love your enthusiasm! Have you ever fished under Highway 92/San Mateo Bridge for stripers? I remember watching an episode of Jerry McKinnis who threw bucktail jigs among the pilings of the bridge, from a boat, catching one striper after another. But this was awhile ago, and I’m not sure if you can boat that close to the bridge anymore post-9/11. But if you can, and if the tide is right, I’d be interested in seeing you light it up!
3:20 Them belly full, but we hungry. (100 points for anyone who knows that reference😁) That was fun to watch man. Your adrenaline must have been pumpin'!
Great day for sure. When there on fire showing bait right onto the sand this the time you can throw a popper and target the beasts. 30-40 lbers are doable if you give em a big enough target . Amazon has the Pearl Red head cotton cordel 6 inch for sale $5.82. Super simple popper, super easy to use and deadly for the big striped bass
With all respect, with spoons it really helps to use either a rotating swivel, leader, and lure or use a clip to prevent line twist. Nothing worse than getting a big ole air knot(tangled line with a knot) right in the middle of a wide open bite. Tactical angler clips are great however there are a number of choices that work. A clip will also make it super easy to swap out lures in seconds. With a clip you can swap the spoon for a popper or other lure vs having to stop and retie.
awesome vid!!! bro what you just witnessed we call here in the northeast as a Blitz. whenever you see bait literally flopping on the sand you have a blitz and you dont have to cast so far.
U should drop some of ur fishing spots so we could fish with u if we end up there the same day would be a cool thing to do bc we r ur subscribers and supporters. Just something to think ab
