The Ohio University Marching 110 is known across the state as "The Most Exciting Band in the Land." The band is also called "Better than the Best Ever" in honor of their former band director Ronald P. Socciarelli. Find out more about the Marching 110 at marching110.org.
If you are interested in more information about joining the Marching 110, please complete and submit this form: tinyurl.com/ag8... . You will receive a follow-up letter via ground mail during the summer of 2013 with additional information regarding tryouts and housing for the Marching 110's training week, held before classes start in the fall.

My High School, follows the philosophies of OU's Marching 110. Partly because our instructor is an OU Alumni. We play the songs, we do the dances, we get the crowd pumped. I am proud to say that Ohio University is my top pick for College.

the 4 people who disliked this video either went to Miami or think that OSU's band is better. I am not saying the 110 is better, both are very very good bands.

my example i have is this: in high school competition marching band.. all their practices and rehearsals and performance leading up to state marching band finals, no matter what band, no matter what state.. the next performance, whether it be state finals, or your second practice of the season.. has to be better than the performance before. think of each season of the marching 110 the next step towards state finals. it's always uphill. you don't want to plateau and stop getting better

I think the "Better Than The Best Ever" might be a little misconstrued. The phrase was that the 110 strives to be "Not as good as, but better than the best ever." It's a philosophy to live by and at the very heart and soul of the 110. You can say what you want as an outsider but you'll never understand that philosophy unless you've been a part of the block.

i have loved the marching 110 and dreamed to be in it since before i was even in junior.. i believe i was in 5th grade when i saw my first indoor concert.. and playing clarinet, and know the 110 before ever seeing what the osu marching band is... and them being all brass... naturally i'm a bobcat/110 fan =)... im a little late on my dream though.. i have some debating in my mind to do figure things out .__.

my high school marching band was called ''the grandest band in the land'' i really don't think it matters if the phrase gets changed up a bit..

i agree so much with this comment... i am a diehard 110 fan. and aim to be a member of it.. but i respect any other marching band there is. hell, i'm a woodwind, and i enjoy watching dci and all brass stuff. i'm not a fan of ohio state, and i am not a fan of the marching band.. BUT, i do think they are good, and i do think they are skilled. and i do respect them.. i just don't enjoy it as much.. teams and bands have mutual respect for each other.. fans of one try to downgrade those of another.

so? who cares about other bands excitement... the Marching 110 has pride in their school and in themselves. i seriously wish people would stop trying to say other show style bands better and trying to downgrade this band.. this band cares about their fans and their team and their school.. and their fans support their band, their team and their school... they don't go around to other schools videos and downgrade them saying the 110 is better than them.. they don't care about that

They are good, but i would not say that they are better than the best. They're my second favorite college marching band, first goes to the spartan marching band.

my previous comment was an example to the public, not to you specifically squidward110.. which i'm assuming you play clarinet ;P i do too.. and i aim to be in the 110 playing my clarinet =D
