I would have never thought about Doto playing Vanquish Soul. But i know he's just the guy who would get in the moment somebody say "STAKE YOUR SOUL" 😂

That one duel against Kash is a clear example of why I love this deck. If you get to pop off, you generate so much card advantage through both turns that you esentialy wall combo your opponent

This indeed is a deck of value that is above that of normality

Ngl early game for this deck is like early game in a fighting game. Where you're blocking and scoping your opponent out. You don't want to burn with Borger, you want to draw cuz it might get you more attributes in hand or a hand trap. The burn is a mid-late game play. It's like you're doing Raw Level 3 instead of just doing an input. And since you can do it on both player's turn you can draw potentially 2 hand traps

This deck has brought the FGC and Yugioh TCG communities even closer than they already were. We're like a big family now

I'm a big V.S. fan. I find it odd that not many people play the trap cards. The counter one is very mid but the other 2 are kinda crazy. One is Raigeki+ 1800 burn and the other can non-target bounce a lot of cards if you play right. Do it in the EP against a backrow deck and its GG

I feel like Doto would have fun with the SPYRAL archetype, it is definitely off meta tho but it can OTK/FTK if used in conjunction with access code talker and knightmare unicorn

Vanquish Soul is tricky but it’s such a fun deck! I do have a few tips and tricks (aka my personal game plan) for the deck since I have 2 versions: 1.) Always, if possible, make a way to get Snow Devil (or Dust Devil)! Having a board wipe (or book of eclipse due to Dust) basically doubles your board control. 2.) When using prosperity, always search hand traps if you already have Razen or Doc, since they basically help with interaction on both your and your opponent’s turn thanks to the attributes. 3.) You’re actually using the tag mechanic really well for this deck! Attribute control is the main thing you need to maintain, but that honestly improves drastically if you change some ratios of the deck to make sure you start with certain attributes (and starters too) ! I’ll do my potential combo lines in another comment since this one is already long lol. Still, love the video Doto!

This was the fastest I've ever clicked on one of Doto's videos. 9:33 since you controlled no monsters, Imperm or another trap card was the best choice. A couple of cards that can help are D.D. Crow (dark handtrap), Knightmare Corrupter Iblee and by extension Linguriboh (Iblee can floodgate your opponent out of special summoning non-Link monsters and Linguriboh negates trap cards), and lastly Kaijus or Lava golem. Kumongous is earth, Radian is dark, and Dogoran is Fire (as is Lava Golem). Also, small world if you can keep track of what cards bridge into what.

I love this deck, if you look at the combos close they feel like an actual fighting game combo, this is the first time I ever looked at modern yugioh and was entertained

What you have is a good list I do use 3x small worlds for another way to get to Razen though since basically any card in the deck is a bridge and the deck generates resources easy so I ain't even worried about the -1 so try it if you want. I'd cut the bystials and the vanquish soul pluton HG and replace with the 3x small worlds its another 3 chances to get Razen in opening play which is so important

On my hands and knees to see more vanquish soul stuff, either ranked climbs, games with the idiots etc... just praying for some more of this stuff and not just duel monsters character duels

Vanquish Soul is such a cool deck, hope this pushes Doto to play other cool non anime nostalgia decks

VS has been a lot of fun, even though I had to make an alt to get the gems to build it. I personally only run 2 Mad Love and 2 Jiaolong, no slime, and Durendal can help you search Razen going second. Small World is also huge in this deck and can help you unbrick bad hands. Any VS monster can bridge into Razen (Borger+Valius same DEF, Pantera+Mad Love same level, Jiaolong same attribute), and Ash+Maxx C are Small World starters because of their attributes.

Another thing you could try running is generic support for your monster types like limiter removal for heavy borger and battle guard howling for razen and I think Caesar valius can work with return of the dragon lords which would be a fun way to save on revealing cards in your hand to protect itself.

The cards got so many words on them I'm surprised doto is taking this challenge and playing them.

Doto amazing vid, to explain why you could make ariseheart in that one duel. You can either make it witj 3 level 7 monsters (which vanquish soul can do if you can get fenrir, riseheart, and borgor on the field) or you can make it with one kashtira monster if kashtira shangri-la activated its effect that turn. Which the opponent did do. The extra deck is by far the most unusual part about VS since most of the time you don't touch it. Your extra deck looks pretty good so just try and read the effects, you won't summon most anything besides rock often, but there are some really good situations for dweller and bagooska

The master duel multiple choice test is really fun. I hope they expand on it alot more.

i would honestly love to see Doto play Witchcrafter or Swordsoul, i have been having so much fun with both decks and the combos are pretty easy to understand

Same thing happened to me when i was opening the packs when swordsoul released. I had no interest in the deck but my pulls just showered me with the SS URs. All i wanted was the firewall and mathmech support cards and i just cant stop pulling the Vanquish soul cards. This time though i really dont think im going to keep them and use the dust to craft a few more cards i need to complete some spare fun decks i like and some higher end staples

I recommend adding the Spell Card Reload. Especially with how this deck is flowing Reload can help adjust your hand.

Seeing you finally use handtraps n junk. Makes me feel like caving and finally start to craft some. Also on that note if you dont want to use those you can use Kaijus and Lava Golem for a going 2nd Vanquish Soul

Very excited for this! Fun to see you playing newer decks. I’ve only had one match against Valiant Soul but they’re tricky to deal with. Very interesting play style. EDIT: Also, that Mathmech player was going to use Transcode and Update Jammer to make Accesscode with double 5300 attack- it's how they OTK. But they screwed up by summoning Parallel Exceed in Transcode's zone.

I recommend the noble knight equip spell that adds a fire warrior to hand, because you really need to see raizen as much as possible

Doto is Jade. That proficiency thing is a fun side addition, kinda feels like Duel Academy.

I feel like that battle city tournament really leveled up Dotos duelist skills.

You can try Mathmech, it's relatively simple to play, it eats up hand traps which you might like if you hate getting hand trapped, and you can definitely build it to be more OTK, some versions of the deck can definitely pump out monsters that deal stupid damage! Not to mention it's a very consistent deck.

I don't have the cards to make this deck yet, and while I'm terrible with fighting games, I really like this deck's style.

Best part is Vanquish Soul is literally a fighting game referece. It's basically just a big reference to games like Tekken, Street Fighter, BlazBlue and *especially* Guilty Gear, and I think that's just perfect for Doto

Woah, I never expected to see Doto read in yugioh in this lifetime. Colour me surprised

For extra effect counters try Debunk, showdown of secret sense scroll techniques and dark bribe as these can stop hand and field monster effects, banish a negated monster and negate any spell or trap, but spell/trap negate via dark bribe is gonna let the opponent draw a card and secret sense only works on cards they run more than 1 of in a deck, and they must have a copy of the activated card in their graveyard. Debunk perfect handtrap/graveyard effect counter cause it banishes the monster whose effect was negated.

I wanna see YuGiOh ranked matches again! Doto and YuGiOh are a content goldmine

The thing with VS is that they rarely run Spell cards, You can run Anti Spell Fragrance and just shut opponents like Purrley and Sky Strikers down. Remember to activate it on the Draw Phase

Doto cooks the meta! Also i always saw him as a relinquished player so that’d be a fun deck to try
