I’m glad I finished my duals now. I’m still not convinced this wasn’t some kind of passing the lotus around ciricle jerk, but it doesn’t bode well for affordability for normal rl cards for us non-posty people.
I think it could be a legit sales, since black label pristine 10s are in their own league. CGC has grown as legit grader for mtg cards in the last couple of years and has become more and more accepted by the mtg community in my opinion.
I would like to own an unlimited black lotus someday, so I’m hoping the prices will go down. When I was a kid in the late 90’s my local game store had a black lotus on sale for $400 (almost $800 today).
I love your skepticism. Imo the sale is fake, simply because there's 2 much of a gap between the last 1 (800k) and this one (3M). The fact that the previous lotus was "simply" a 10 and this one is a "pristine" 10 is negligible to me... any other grading company might have given a simple 10 or even a 9.5, and the difference doesn't justify such a gap in price (almost 4x1). This only works, on a bigger scale, as shill bidding on eBay. Someone makes an unreasoably high fake bid with the aim of hyping the item so that someone else will buy it for less than that bid, but still higher than its market value. A bit of the same scenario here. It looks like some big player in the market who's in need of cash wants to dispose his vintage collection but can't quite accept to make less money than he was expected to get if he were to sell pre-mtg 25th and One ring era. The timing is just off. Vintage mtg has been slowly creeping down after mtg25th, and I just can't see why someone would shove this ludicrous pile of cash against the current market trend.
About posing the grail online, there's a guy, I'm not sure if he's in Japan or Singapore, he's well know for collecting that Lilliana golden treasure token. I believe majority of those token are with him. He never post anything online, and the only reason why I know this cos I have a friend who sold the token to him via the shop in Thailand. So I thinl its super possible that powerful collector like this exist, but yeah the non-PSA part is super sus.
i wanna ask you something that maybe you could make a nice series .... like a 4 way battler forwarded to noobies u know a 5 color base to have to play 4 way a counterspell isnt much but when u know all ur opponent have one....
I think due to PSA only doing gem mint these ultra high end collectors go cgc or Beckett. Either way you look at it pristine is seen as harder to get on a card over gem mint.
Nothing will do it except those who were there...and we all dyin. GG. Duces my friends. Counter argument...something about some shit about some ppl who died in like 1910 or before and their goony toys being worth something. Discuss below. Ps Ps is Hatsune legit popular again or you reaching into some 2012 shit? legit question. I'm Actually out of touch.
