darren quality as always, out of all the places on the golden mile where would you recommend. been lookin at goin over some point this summer maybe any recommendations? keep up the content mate
Hi Darren, thanks for another great video. I know exactly what you mean about the mosaic cafe, I've been there many times and decided last year that I would not return. The standard of the food there does not reflect the prices charged. So yes it's a high end area but they are not playing ball by not serving high end food. Your omelette I'm afraid to say was a supermarket omelette microwaved. Now that is naughty. I had a similar experience which is why I will not return, i too have no problem paying high end prices but I want quality and the mosaic cafe cannot deliver! I'm also in total agreement with you about del duque being the Mayfair of Tenerife, with quality food. Loved watching your content of your tenerife trip,I'll definitely be trying neptuno and the tapas and the Sun Inn is a must. Thanks again for taking the time to be informative and wishing you a safe homeward journey. Looking forward to seeing more of your content. 👍
Looked lovely but definitely agree a bit expensive especially when you had it on its own. So enjoy catching up. Full of fab content. Wish I was there but need to find some confidence to go over on my own lol! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🥰☀️🥰xxx
Been to Plaza restaurant a couple of times ourselves when we stayed round that area at Med Palace. Always nice food, but had real issues with the service. Once tried for long enough to pay, ended up walking out. They soon came to us then though. Shame really as it’s a nice place with great entertainment in the evening, but can honestly say we won’t be going back 😡
Fab area DJ, I visit there a few times when I'm over. As you say plenty of great eateries for half of the price not to far from there 👍🏽 Either way a nice area to be in 😎 Mate
Hi Darren, we usually stay in Santiago three over the road or Santiago four we love the area but rarely use the bar’s and restaurants around there they are expensive and not value for money, the DJ in that cafe works 13.00 to 15.00 is a good friend of ours we’ve known him for 30 years and regularly keep in touch
It was expensive for just the omelette with no fries or salad Much more upmarket in Del Duque area where you would expect to pay more so think it was overpriced tbh as we know that cafe & as you said no justification for the charge Good vlog Darren xx👍👍
Beautiful part of Tenerife there, the water fountains looked amazing. Good to see the Hard Rock Cafe in shot. I think the ambience added to the Spanish Omelette price, looked nice and as long as you enjoyed it is all that matters.
There are places I go where I know I'm going to pay over the odds, but I'm happy to if it's a special place (to me) or I'm with the right company.......or any other reason that justifies it. Most of the time it's a cheek though and people now want to charge the prices, but don't necessarily deliver the quality. I'll pay anything, and I've had good experiences in the cheapest of places, and the most expensive.........but my expectations move with the price.
Been to that cafe a few times DJ great location and they have entertainment in the evenings including a crooner called trevor not as good as shelley though!, Agree about del duque it is a bit more upmarket than the golden mile.
Hi darren great 👍 blog you only get what you pay for i am glad you ducatis daisey will be happy better than harleys all day long italian stallion keep smilling
My way of thinking is that if I have enjoyed what I have had it doesn’t bother me what it costs on the other hand if you don’t enjoy it different matter wallop
Unfortunately tourist traps are tourist traps, doesn't matter where you are in the world, everything comes at a premium. I liked that tapas place you visited previously with such a wide ranging menu its easy to go back there when the food is good quality.
London is the same, if you want an omelette. You can spend a tenner at a decent caff in Paddington then spend more than double that in Mayfair, Bond St or Kensington for similar quality
They should have discounted that Tortilla €16.50 more as you didn't have fries or side salad. How much? €8 maximum imo I wouldn't recommend or return there based on the lack of flexibility.
Hi Darren, it's getting harder to find cheaper streets any where in the world 🙄😀If you get value for money on anything. You're more than likely to accept the price. However, having your pockets picked.... leaves a nasty taste. And can, if you let it ruin your experience. I understand the fact that people have to make money & profit. Especially if they have a limited amount of time to get it. Penny wise, Pound foolish. €10 and you'll be back€20 warn others about the rip off. Allan and family
Is it just a London thing that they can't say the word cafè correctly or is it an English thing? It was so strange to hear you refer to the hard Rock caff, when it's famously the hard Rock cafè
@brendan904 we say "caff" too here in Birmingham also. There's no right or wrong. It's all local dialect. Never understood why people have to bring these things up.
@DarrenJohn that's correct, I'm from Ireland where we can correctly pronounce cafè, hence the question about whether it's only London people who are incapable of pronouncing it correctly or all Brits
I know what you mean I like caff cigars I like caff racing, my mate is called Stewart cafe but the londoners still call him caff,it Really gets on his tits.
