By posting "tomorrow" I meant posting at 12:00. Still posted half hour early though cause I scheduled the release incorrectly. At least I didn't screw up the thumbnail this time. Oh forgot about this: fuck ghosting.
34:18 it's really sad to see Qkawa's scene got ruined by ghosting but atleast we have his LO before bluray comes If mitani actually become inhouse then yeh we will see more scenes from him later on
1:05:14 Old experienced Grade 1 sorcerers from influential families are given the honorary titles of "Special grade 1" cause Ego and Jujutsu kaisen ranking system is shit and corrupt The 4 special grades are Gojo, Geto, Yuta and Yuki Also small detail Yujis promotion is on hold
Mahito dodging the lasers as he shapeshifted was still super cool even with the dimming and ghosting. But damn the shot of him getting flung threw those trees? Oof. That sequence can only be saved in the Blue Ray release.
Let’s GO, a new MankoMan video and one day early at that. Episode 7 for me is the best episode of JJK in terms of animation of course ignoring the ghosting, I just love seeing different styles of animation being used right next to each other and working perfectly like in this episode.
@@DarkKing-z6b yeah in quality episode 5 edges out a little. I may be a little biased because I absolutely love kannada style animation and episode 7 has amazing uses of it. I respect your opinion though of episode 5 being the best. Hopefully episode 9 can surpass previous episodes in quality considering this is a Gosso storyboarded mainly action episode for the first time this season.
Although I can truly appreciate the animation talent on display, I felt with the animators being giving free reign to such an extent that almost every scene is a different style (add to that the ghosting), the whole package comes across chaotic. It's still insane how much talent is working on this season despite the terrible schedule
Its a cheat on power system he didn't break heavenly pact and easily got body back from mahito He is storing cursed energy from 17 years back i think its in the dam. Its a huge power release only can be handled by huge mecha thats why mahito cut the cable in his back after pigeon viola attack.
Thank you for highlighting so many details that I would absolutely miss. Still not over the difference between art and composition but hopefully getting closer. Very much appreciate the content on different styles between Mitani and other character designs.
I assume he didn't lose his heavenly pact because of the way Mahito's idle transfiguration works. It doesn't heal its target. It just changes the shape of the soul, and by changing the souls shape, Mahito can change the appearance and functionality of someone's body. So, basically, he wasn't healed. His body was just changed to look different. The whole year system in the mech was cursed energy that he had been storing in the mech his whole life, so when he uses 5 years, he uses the equivalent of 5 years worth of stored cursed energy. The energy was only usable by that mech, though. If anything, I'd compare it to the byakugou seal that Tsunade and Sakura have from Naruto.
@@casheycashey3614no special grade 1 is just a title given to special clan members of the big 3 kamo, zenin, and gojo doesn’t mean really mean anything in terms of power a normal grade 1 could be stronger than a special grade 1
pausing the video to answer the question around the 13 minute mark about mechamaru: im pretty sure he did keep his heavenly pact and also that year counter is basically the amount of cursed energy he has accumulated all this time. he is just spending that much (however much he says) worth every time he launches an attack.
I was pausing so much when they were showing those crowds, the characters looked great. Episode 7 easily my favorite so far this season. Now gonna go watch episode 9
13:04 So we don't know THAT much about his CT to be completely honest, but the years he has in the mech is how much CE he's managed to store since he figured out a way to store the excess CE that his body produced from his HR.
41:20 just a little point there. I don't know what the intention of that cut in JJK was but in general, there are two kinds of camera movements related to what you're saying - a "zoom in" and a "push in". So when the camera is pushing into, i.e, physically coming closer to an object, it's a push in movement. That's what you're terming as an "animated zoom", since the character is redrawn bigger (and more detailed) frame-after-frame, simulating the camera coming closer. However, since it's not a zoom at all, the term is not really accurate. The second one is a "zoom in" where the lens is using its zoom feature to magnify the image (by increasing its focal length). That's your "panning zoom", which should really be called just, well, zoom. That's it, always enjoy ur videos so much!
''Special Grade 1'' is just Grade 1 but it's for people that not a member of jujutsu highschool. So naobito is in same grade as nanami which is grade 1.
what? I'm saying just because your doing something new or experimental, or different, doesn't equate to it being good solely because its experimental.@@spookytown7963
Great stuff! So good that you outline the unrivaled level of animation overall while others cry about dimming etc. this show is on a completely different level Edit: nevermind 😂😂
Naobito is, specifically, the highest level a grade 1 sorcerer can get while still being below Special Grade. I think his specific rank is "Supreme Grade 1 Sorceror." So, he's stronger than the likes of Nanami, Todo, and Mei Mei. Also, out of the modern sorcerors alive, he is second only to Gojo in speed.
Naobito Zenin is a Grade 1 Sorcerer, Special Grade 1 (or supreme depending on translation) seems to be more of an honorary thing. he's not affiliated with Jujutsu Tech but is Graded Regardless and still works in Jujutsu Society. I dont think it was ever officially explained. Special Grades are basically just outliers with extra-ordinary abilities, and will be Elaborated on way Later; but Yuki, Gojo, Geto and Yuta are the only Special Grades.
I don't know, I'd say One Piece has been going crazy with experimentation these past couple of episodes (and by couple I mean last 10's of episodes). No two episodes have looked the same in a row for a while now. These last 8 episodes of JJK were fantastic in the same way to me (even if episode 8 didn't stick as well as the others).
But One piece has the HUGE advantage of being a very flexible source material that allows the animators to go all out. No matter how balls to the walls the animation is it will still fit the adaptation, unless you go as far as Weilin took his scene which was hard to follow for regular viewers. Turning JJK into Gurren lagaan is more experimental IMO because JJK is a relatively more restrictive project. No matter how much creative freedom Gosso provides his team, there's only so much you can do because the main character isn't literally rubber.
hello manko, loved the episode. I would like to request if you could dedicate a part of an episode to review the latest animations on one piece they were insane. Would love to hear your opinion.
Fuck ghosting, however on a side note I wish that people did a little bit more research on stuff like this before criticizing, a lot of people new to this "effect" were deliberately blaming mappa and the animators as if it was a "creative choice" by them lol, yes it fkd the animation big time as our g said, but no, it isn't the studio's (necessarily) nor the animator's fault
Woah, i cant believe this video is 1 hour long, yua are a Beast; something i didn't understand in this episode was Simple Domain function and how that affects Mahito.
if CSM Director was in charge, we wouldn't have gotten the horrendously garbage fight last episode with Yuji v the Cricket and it'd as iconic as the Denji vs Leech Devil who was a nobody in the manga. just sayin
Please make a full video just about ghosting. I would be extremely interested in whatever insight on the topic you can provide cuz I don’t really get the why behind it all. I just know that it annoys the hell out of me
Be careful it’s experimental so normies might not like it since it’s not like season 1 and have Sungho Park’s brand of fight choreography (although how would you do that in a fight involving a big ass mecha).
I mean I like both styles. I am just interested in animation and art in general though. My dream scenario would be Sunghoo Park and Shota Goshozono working together on future JJK episodes. Would love to see Shota’s story boarding with Sunghoo flair on the action.
special grade 1 in jjk isnt exactly special grade but its an upper echelon in grade 1, special grades need very specific things to be considered special grade making them on another level of power
