Not keen on the wide arches. Looks like its trying too hard. Maybe it looks better in person? Id definitely upgrade to one from my VXR. Living in Yorkshire with the B roads we have around here. I think it might be one of the best "real roads" cars out there at the minute. I Imagine its a proper B road killer. Like what the old STI is.

Always hated those fender flare add-ons. They don't blend with the body at all. Alot of guys do them on the Evo x . They look bad too IMO. Less is more my friend.

I don't know what it is, but from behind it almost looks like a chavved up pre-facelift mk3 Focus ST - except for the defuser. Personally not a fan!

in 20yrs the classic ford focus will be the mk2 ST225. un modified, couple of owners with documents, FSH and 100000+ miles is nowt to that volvo engine if serviced and un modified. with the mk2 RS already priced over 20000 the RS500s locked away by the wealthy by then, the 2.3 engines bring more complaints over differing things im discovering. My own hatred of the modern computerised dashboards gives more things to need fixed by then. my 2007 ST225 is still a motor car to drive and the dashboard is plain simple my 13 yr old daughter can co pilot.

I don’t understand what’s extreme about it at all. Arches look like they’ve just been thrown at the car, exhaust sounds shit, interior is same as a zetec s, spoiler looks shit. I’ve owned 3 focus now but the mk3 RS has put me off big time because 1. Crappy chocolate engine 2. Shitty interior 3. 35k for a focus REALLY????

Extremely ugly in my opinion... I check this out before I pick up my 2018 Type-R Red and the RS drives like shit compared to the Type R.. I traded in my 2016 Civic 4 door Touring.. and the interior of the RS is just as ugly as the outside.

Looking at the footage it looks like it rides like a skateboard lots of vibration and resonance, the body kit looks cheap and has no class to the professional it just appeals to the gimmick boy racer. to be honest it look like it has ram raided Halfords. Ford put so much into R&D and i think the standard version is just about right

I don't have a Focus Rs and if I had I would not stick that Shite on it! ...... if you want to make it look good maybe something along the line of kit the BTTC Focus race cars use! ....... but I tell you what you gave me a good Laugh when I first saw it! ...

bolt on arches and stretched tyres. neither look good. should have left it without the arches and fitted wheels/tyres that actually FIT the car so no need for ugly (and technically illegal, in the UK) stretched tyres. mk2 focus RS was a totally different car. this guy is comparing apples with oranges. the widened arches fitted ran with the profile of the body and NOT just bodged on like those are. and the RS500 mentioned was a special edition run out model, hence the (slight) extra power. the mk2 was also a 3 door, whereas the new mk3 is a 5 door which makes it more user friendly, as well as the mk3 Focus not being available AT ALL in 3 door guise.

If any car was ever crying out for a wide arch kit it is the new focus RS

There's no "500hp Mk2". My guess is you probably thought of RS500 when you said that, which is completely wrong. Focus RS500 designation was referring to 500 units produced, not 500hp, because it had 345hp.

The arch extensions look cheap and tacky. Takes a certain sort I suppose..

Id like to see a video review of the ford focus range starting 2006 build to the 2018 build, thus giving time to highlight some flaws if any arise? I think they should be un modified motors for a fair test type review. im 90% certain that the 2007 pre facelift will tick more boxes with its simplistic dashboard, engine reliability as standared, and having mine the ugliest fast ford ever to ones eye, even to ones ear the lack of dump valve and standared exhaust dosnt turn heads. xx

The Mk 3 RS looks too similar to the ST in my opinion. The Mk2 made itself known from the lesser model with the wide body and this aftermarket kit although not the ideal one for the car does give the RS the presence it's should have had from the factory.In a world of RS3's and AMG 45's the Ford needs an edge and design wise I think they dropped a bollock with the Mk3's skinny appearance.

Wide bumper cover to match wide body. looks like its not finish, the company need to go all out and get a nice flowing design. wide bumper to match, seeing tyre where body should be mud will cover that area.

Not keen at all, whole point of the mk3 was to appeal to an older generation too, hence the 4 doors and subtle styling compared to the mk2. Forged internals will not solve the engine issues. Closed deck mod is needed for starters imo.

Arches dont even blend into the front bumper. If they were looking for a bolt on look then they certainly acheived it. Not for me. Defo prefer standard

It does look ASBO, but the boy racer in me loves it! Not so sure my mate Steve who owns one will agree. Some nice upgrades to the engine though.

Lovely car but this engine issue is a worry being a 30 grand motor. I've heard changing the coolant to a waterless version cures it but think it could be more than that.
