This video present you the most Fantastic TV Motorcycles of the 80's. Battlestar Galactica, Street Hawk, Automan , and James Bond- Never say Never again.
@@eduardosampoia5480 the matrix is set in a simulated universe where the laws of physics don’t exist. Morpheus even makes it clear when he asks Neo if he thought his muscles made any difference to his strength in the training simulation.
how did i miss automan? never seen that before in my life. just going by the muffler it looked like an mid eighties xl600 or similar honda. street hawk looks like a yamaha xt600 with some street wheels and brakes grafted on.
I was already an OF in the '80s, & I remember thinking how dated & dowdy the Battlestar Galactica motorbikes looked, compared to the then current Suzuki Katana!
I find it ironic that, while real motocycles in the 80's were quite gorgeous, filming crews rather decided to use those pathetic looking props. In contrast, Kawasakis used in Mad Max 1 today look as good as ever.
@@bolderiks Ha! The 80's had lots of awesome style. Yes some of it was ... a bit sad, but there were lots of great stuff designed and made in the 80's
Street Hawk was awesome! Especially love it on the early ep where it's low in the front. It was called an all terrain attack cycle adjustable for street and off road, but early on they just left it in off road mode. Sounded awesome too! And love the music
@Mike Lyons Yeah mate, I love the Original Mad Max Movies, I Don't Expect you to believe me, & I'll Probably get Trolled for saying this, but I have Mad Max's HZ Panel Van, My Uncle worked for Kennedy Miller as a Line Director, I'll see if I have any photos on this phone, I think there on my old pH, -Cheers 🇳🇿👍😉
hi everyone yes I remember all these shows and bikes from the 80's now suspended all disbelief while sit back and watch These shows back then LOL :-D the 80's and 90's I had a total blast fun times :-)
Hey, it's Brion James as the first motorcyclist talking in this Battle Star Galactica clip of 1981 'Blade Runner' fame. 'Leon Kowolski (file section, new employee, six days at the Tyrell Corp. by the time Holden was voight Kamping him. Holden got mildly 'aired' out too, unfortunately) was his character. Sean Youngs' 'Rachael' sure knew how to 'air' Leon out of existence. She actually 'retired' him. Harrison Fords' 'Deckard' did not.
Loved street hawk (called "El Cóndor" in my country) AND Automan. Two of the first things i tried to find at the beginning of something called internet.
i remember watching most of these back in the day and thinking fantastic motorcycles were mostly just a honda xr/xl 600 or 650...and today i think they must be kinda fantastic coz honda still makes them 40yrs later and they have not changed much
I think that when we were kids our imaginations were more expanded.....seems that kids today do not share that......we did not have phones, computers and video games.....we had the outside world.
Just remember if you were a kid growing up through those times they were the best bikes ever. And I was a kid through those days. Hollywood gave it a good go back then. You might cringe now. 👍😊🏍️
Note the bond bike was mostly the XT yamaha model not the Xj750 turbo that it seems to look like. This easy to tell by wire wheels, narrow tyres and long travel suspension
I always liked Streethawk....too bad that show died like it did.....but going up against Knight Rider and Airwolf was just unfair lol I mean you had an AI controlled car KITT with 100X more gadgets and you had a hellimachopper that made Blue thunder kinda look lame LMAO but nothing beats Blue Thunder's score, they actually replicated the sound of rotor blades spinning with the music that's frakking genius as far as I'm concerned, it's hard to pick up on but really listen to the main them next time you watch that flick lol
Unfortunately Streethawk was late to the game. The car chase era / super action shows pretty much died in 1986. Street Hawk came out in 1985 swinging like a heavyweight but pretty much all those super shows died in 1986. A-team managed to hang on til '87 but Knight Rider, Airwolf, Dukes of Hazzard, Hardcastle and McCormick, Fall Guy and Streethawk all died in 1986.
@@skipintroux4444 In all fairness, it's not like anybody needs to go searching for self inflicted cringe. RU-vid's algorithm will happily reach into deep time and click bait you with it.
One that should have been in this is the streamlined motorcycle with tilting sidecar from the 2 part CHiPs episode "The Great 5K Star Race and Boulder Wrap Party"
These machines are actually coming into play, especially electric, they even have a couple of flying motorcycles, with drone tech and one that's a jet. Btw Wonder woman's bike was 80s but gets was a fairly basic trails bike, Kawasaki KE175 but with matching bodysuit, and Spiderman had an 80s motorcycle, and Batman I think,, the 90s and later would be good,,. Judge Dredd, Spiderman and The Batman/Woman.?
How's this for a touch of irony - the battlestar galactica bikes ,whist it wasn't shown on this clip, when they got on them and started up, it sounded exactly like a certain type of Allison (now Rolls Royce) read 250 C20 ) turboshaft engine firing up, I remember the episode very well. Now cut to the early 2000's and a company called MTT started manufacturing a bike called the Y2k which has as its powerplant a, you guessed it, rolls Royce 250 C20 turboshaft, essentially the same engine that powers a number of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. Do you think the production and art departments of the battlestar galactica series might have known that something that we didn't or a coincidental omen maybe?! The mind boggles 🤔
I'll give it a 2 outta 10. Black Widows from Any which way but loose? No mention AT ALL of Toe cutters gang?! Knightriders?! The dirtbike kid? Cyclone? Mask? I'm tired of typing...
Boy ,I forgot how bad 80's TV really was,not like today's reality TV !!! O crap never mind ,compared to today's TV.,this maybe was not that bad ,one good thing ,you didn't. See the Kardasians back then !!! 😎
es 500 kawasaki pre-ninja (wasnt a ninja in 500cc untill 92).... fj 1200 yamaha/750 ninja depending on the shot....yamaha xs11 special/xs 750, depending on the shot....and finishing up with annother es500.
Para esa época se veían muy futuristas, pero ahora se ven viejas y hasta chistosas, claro que hay que reconocer que si fueron visionarios al pensar en que una moto del futuro sería eléctrica
Now if anyone from KTM sees this video then they will buy the company that makes the 007 bike. Then the ads will say 007 cycles is now part of the KTM group. I’m going to go get me a Bond-Bond 450
The bond bike, they should have just left it as it was stock from the showroom floor. It looks way better than after they hung all those silly looking body panels all over it. That's my bike, BTW. I had a 1983 Yamaha Turbo Seca.
I didn't think a James Bond movie constituted an 80's tv show. Why not the motorcycle from the Captain America mini-series? Why do all these motorcycles sit way up high like a dirt bike?
The Renault 5 gordini in the bond clip was rare never mind the jaguar xj12 also... But how could you have left out " chips " California highway patrol ....
Amazing! And not a single computer or 3D printer was used in making ANY of those badass machines I bet… Just lots of imagination and bare hands, and a shop full of tools!
