A painter and a sniper have much in common... Like when a touch of color is out of place. When a shadow does not match with its surroundings. Or when a shape is not where it is supposed to be. The only difference is the stakes... The snipers are higher.

As Grand Admiral Pitta investigates the species , he saw great potentials for his crusade againts non-humans at outer rim. He orders the troops to launch attacks at various locations on the planet , at the hearts of the armies and warlords of the various factions within the world. That day Allied forces are greeted not by the German forces but the Imperial Army and Grand Admiral Pitta himself.
@@gauravproton1956 Could have? Did. The japanese were terrified of the Gurkhas, especially on the Indochina/Burma front. The difference between the British forces in India and the Gurkhas is the Gurkhas were defending their home. The British might take prisoners. the Gurkhas almost never did. They were fearless in all situations but on the homefront they were absolutely unstoppable. I was just watching a video on this channel where the Gurkhas took a Banzai charge to the flank, slaughtered most of them, killed the officer and sent them running while taking minimal casualties. The British started recruiting them in large numbers because of how hard a time they had had trying to fight them. They were absolutely not to be messed with.
Mike Btrfld The Japanese were a majority scared of Americans, the Australians and New Zealanders where considered “easy targets” by the Japanese army and Navy.

@Lukas The french tank shown here (either a B1 or B1 bis) was renown for being nearly invulnerable ; especially from the front They also had a notorously good mobility on challenging terrain. However, their outdated conception and numerous technical issues, as well as their limited autonomy prevented them from playing a decisive role in the atempt to stop the Blitzkrieg. The Nazi only had to keep them busy and/or outmaneuver them and let them run out of ammo and/or oil... France also had a handful of other tank models ; among them the Tank D2 (favored by Charles de Gaulle over the B1 ; and produced in only small number : only a hundred.) Yet, it is true France neither possessed nor used much tank during the beginning of WW2 ; as a huge part of the French State Major of this time (except notably, Charles de Gaulle, who was only a colonel yet) didn't believed in the decisive role they would play on ground and urban engagement.
Well, Finland had only 32 tanks in Winter War. Some had wooden wheels and some had no gun. So, instead of being a tank commander, Häyhä had to be a sniper to make it on this list.
The Norwegian government were downsizing the military budgets before the war. But that frustrated the army who were looking to aquire at-ats. Many historians now believe if the Norwegian government had invested in these weaponsystems, at least the Germans would not have taken over in a manner of weeks. After all True story. ;)
Also German tank ace (150 kills)Otto Carius‘ Tiger tank shot a Russian fighter plane down using the tanks 88mm main gun. Arguably the greatest shot ever made by a tank!!!
@Tinnitus V that feat was never repeated, whether or not the Soviet planes were flying low and slow. If it had, more Soviet planes would have been brought down this way!!!

He sank a German freighter ship called a F Boat he was helping being unloaded being forced to do so by the Germans . He made a bomb made out of cordite in a condensed milk tin which he placed among fuel drums it went off and sank the ship . He was awarded a medal for his effort shortly after the sinking he escaped and made his way to allied lines again.
Do a video about the Scandinavian SS division wiking, and also one about other nations SS divisions that fought for the Nazis. Like the Russian one or the Romanian
Charles Upham of New Zealand was the only soldier in WW2 to win the coveted VC Bar, the top award which has only been awarded three times in history. Upham was later captured and was in the prominati in Colditz Castle. He once raced out into the courtyard to cheer on American bombers heading towards Berlin. Hermann Goering had stated "if one bomb lands on Berlin, you can call me Meyer". When asked by the Germans what he was doing Upham stated "What do you think these are. Ruddy ducks?".
Jack Blades Don’t know if I’m wrong here but considering New Zealand was a Dominion it would of gotten a “victorious cross” they would of received the Victoria Cross
Heinrich Severloh was an 18 years old Wehrmacht recruit stationed at Omaha Beach as machine-gunner in 1944 when the Allied forces launched their invasion. He stayed in his bunker all day mowing down everybody who dared to show his head with his MG 42 and two Karabiner 98k in his bunker. Even an American battleship opened fire on his bunker to take him out but he stubbornly stayed there and still fired on everybody who dared to come close. The gun barrel got extremely hot and had to be replaced many times so that he burned his fingers severly and even lost parts of the skin of his fingers on this day. In the late afternoon when his ammunition ran out his commander gave the order to retreat. After the war reporters asked him how many Americans he estimates he had killed on this day. His answer was at least 1000 ... maybe even 2000. He wrote a book about this experience and the traumatic remorse and aftereffects of it. If you're interested in stuff like this then I can only recommend the book!
Editing miscommunication: Thought editor was going to put the nationalities next to the names. He's going to be doing it for part 2 of this video, but nonetheless Upham was a very brave Kiwi indeed.
Everyone from all the countries that participated in ww2 know the names of their country's heroes, whether our country was named or not, but names like Charles Upham, Keith Elliot, John Hinton, Alfred Hulme, Lenard Trent, Lloyd Trigg, James Ward, Bernard Freyberg, Moana nui a kiwa Ngarimu. All awarded VC, all active during ww2, all from our country, but what about the other brave men and women that were awarded so called lesser awards for bravery? Moaning about not having NEW ZEALAND being named in a video on youtube...... wake me up bro. @@acethemc6633 i must correct you, that Rommel had no direct participation in the assassination attempt. He was merely selected by the assassins as the would-be successor of the Reich, which ultimately, doomed him.

He received his first one after he single handedly liberated the city of Zwolle of German occupation, and received his second medal during the Korean war after leading the capture of key hill in 1951
He also wasn't hit by a sniper but a normal cannon fodder soldiers that was charging towards finnish defencive line. He was just armed with these illegal bullets.( They were banned because they could and would cause unnecessary pain and suffering.) So.. the Australian pilot, totally understand they were fighting germans. But shooting at someone who's parachuting after doing an emergency bail from an aircraft is as a matter of fact a warcrime.

@@aleksandergrigorov9932 Allied forces had a tendency to split kills between pilots if they contributed to a plane takedown. Germans didn't do that, which is one of the reasons why their pilots have so many more kills. The other being their skill and the fact they often faced inexperienced combatants in the eastern front.
@@mrhardwood157 Doesn't mean one German pilot commits a war crime, mean it makes it okay to praise someone that repeatedly committed war crimes. If you read journals or books about the Luftwaffle, it was highly frowned upon, and would even be punishable by death to shoot a parachuting pilot. By the way, eye for an eye counts as 1 for 1, not 1 < 30
We're convicts mate, it's what we do. Also War Crimes? Nazi Germany is imprisoning and murdering innocent people in the most inhummane ways possible. But no you're upset about shooting downed pilots? It's war mate. All Luftwaffe Pilots knew what and why they were signing up. Especially in the early years of the war. Sometimes it's not about killing a man because you have to. To be honest. Erich's performance likely had little to no major impact on the war. A lot of statistics have come out in the past decade showing CAS were actually quite ineffective during the war. Though you can argue the effectiveness and accuracy of dive bombers vs stationary targets as being quite good, only Germany really fielded them in this manner and they were obsolete even before the war started as dive bombers in general were just too slow, and it doesn't matter if you're talking about the Ju87 or the American Dauntless in this regard. Other than the psychological effect of being attacked from the air, no army really field very effective CAS in the war. You can argue the 3.7cm Ju87G was, and so was the Hs129 when it used the 3cm MK103 and 3.7cm Flak as well. Being the only real good tank busters of the war, Hs129 with better engines could of literally been a 1943 A-10A, it's 3cm MK103's HVAP rounds were that effective. But issue being when equipped with these weapons they were not much useful for anything else as they couldn't carry other arms, like bombs, and anti personnel weapons, well the Hs129 did carry two MGs and two 20mm MG151s on top of that, but again it was very underpowered and sadly a wasted piece of technology, they couldn't spare the engines for the program. Even the IL-2 has been grossly overhyped, it's 23mm cannons were not that effective against armor, even after testing a 37mm variant the Red Army opted to just use small anti armor bombs and drop them in mass vs individual targets, kind of like a small mini carpet bomb but with Shaped Charge Armor piercing bombs, and traditional high explosive bombs for other targets on the IL-2 most of the time. Which gave the IL-2 more flexibility vs ground targets than the Ju87G, serving a role similar to the earlier Ju87B&D variants. Erich in turn most of the aircraft he shot down in the war were the famous IL-2. Despite soviet claims, the IL-2 wasn't that effective and in many respects the pure lost ratio makes me question whether it was a waste, when they could of just used the engines on fighters, and more traditional bombers that stood a better chance at surviving fighters. The IL-2 for example traded speed for armor/weapons, and they were cannon fodder vs the Luftwaffe. ie the Suffered the same problem the Ju87 suffered, too slow to save it's life.
Hartmann: Ace of all aces. The deadliest planehunter ever. Rudel himself can be regarded as a whole army himself in terms of impact on the battlefield.
the thing about German pilots is that they were mostly fought inexperienced pilots in out dated planes giving them higher kill counts in general menacing that most of thous kills don't count towards a ace for most people as they were a duck hunt.
What is also to consider the people who have such a high killcount are most likely crazy. Many people dont wanna kill and then get mowed down by such psychpaths. Its much easier to act than react.
Philippe Leclerc de Hautecloque, he was one of the most iconic figures of the free french forces, he beginning to fought against the Axis in 1940 and in March 1941 at Kufra, he was the commander of the french 2nd Armoured Division (2ème division blindée), he retake Paris and Strasbourg and the 2DB was the first division to reach the Kehlsteinhaus.

As for Billot, his b1 bis was named "The butcher of Stonne" because it was invincible, even running over german soldiers in a trench and making them retreat. The armor of the b1 bis was so great no german canon could penetrate its armor, only the flak 88 and bombs could
