Timmows toy collection is growing fast. That's a chair, a shady tree and a beer toy. Get a few and you could race them around a paddock and mow it simultaneously. Fun times
I've been watching a bunch of videos regarding the Luba mower. It is an automatic no-perimeter wire mower, and it has 4-wheel drive and depending on how steep your lawn is, it could possibly do the job. They recently came out with Luba 2, which has an option of 10,000 square meters as the max area to mow. Alas my property is steep and has a bunch of big depressions that are keeping me from getting one. Also, my dirt driveway needs to be plowed in the winter so I will probably be getting a John Deere riding tractor so I can take of both jobs. So, it means no drinking and mowing for me. Just mowing and then drinking afterwards.
I could see a benefit to this if one is elderly or has a disability... heck even make it remote enough where you could mow your lawn while on vacation by using your phone or a set program? That would be amazing!
Now that is what I’d like for my Christmas present. I struggle with mowing, as it hurts my back, where I have a disc injury. Since becoming a widow I now pay my grandson to mow. I’d love one of these, be interested in the price 😊
So it's a big remote control car that works for a living. Lol. I thought it did a pretty good job of cutting the grass. That would be awesome for someone with mobility problems.
Definitely needs 4wd, gps and waypoint functionality for automation. I do think the battery would get very hot with that slim plastic cover on the top; they should think of some sort of fan to keep the battery cool, coupled with an insulated cover.
Attach a cheapo $100 rechargeable Wi-Fi doorbell camera to it and mow the lawn in summer while sitting in your living room with the air conditioner on and watching it on your TV! 🤩
I've got all the safety features turned off, sounds very um..... Tim! Awesome video, and I think you're right, after the novelty wears off, is it practical.
Impressive but it will be more fun to use if they include a feature that allows users to map out area where they want to mow and watch the mowrator to do its job that would be a great addition.
Somebody in a wheelchair or otherwise disabled could mow their own grass with one of these. And I could also see it being beneficial for mowing large hills that are too steep for a traditional mower and too large for a weed eater although it would certainly need a 4wd version. And a way to lock it into a straight line would also be nice.
The auto turn is a cool inbuilt feature. Maybe the best market for this would be larger properties that are difficult to mow on a ride on, but too large to mow regularly with a push mower without significant fatigue. I feel like not having some sort of camera component seriously hamstrings this product, as mowing the lawn from your airconditioned lounge room on a hot day seems like a no brainer when all the other components are there. In comparison to 'robot' mowers, it does have the advantage that you can work around tricky areas and just run over bits again if you got any 'mohawking'. However, you do still have to stand there, and likely walk around as controlling it from a sitting position will be quite difficult to see what you're doing, almost forcing you to follow it along and at that point you may as well just get what I assume to be a much cheaper self propelled mower. The bigger downside to robot mowers is they are often very expensive, and I know at least some of them require border markers and tape to keep them in an area, which can be a bit unsightly if that bothers you. It's only significant benefit seems to be that it's more 'fun' to use, though I don't think the fun part will last long and it will just be less walking than a regular mower.
Yeah Timmy boy, that’s cool. Be perfect for my dad’s small yard. Even he could use it and have the feeling of accomplishing a job again, considering his age 😌😌😌😌
Ok it is pretty cool, especially the auto u-turn feature. I know those who are into gaming, and especially the family kids having to mow will love it. I still would rather just have a completely auto one so I could do other things.
Put a camera 360 degree camera on top and your lawn mowing guy won't even get out of the car. Pay wave from the ute window. Mowing people will start to get heavier. Great for the do it every fortnight lawns.
Umm this would perfect for my local council as they have section grass which in a park which right major high way & they are not allowed to mow unless they block off one lanes just mow it.
Great vlog buddy it looks awesome I think the 4wd version will alot better it look like the front wheels were floating abit when your mate was driving 😅 price point will interesting
I just ordered the 4wd version because I am tired of swinging a string trimmer on my 30 degree slopes. How is the mower holding up after two months of use? Thanks you!
A meaningful application would be for someone like ME! I have a disability which prevents me from executing certain aspects of my yardwork. And, I struggle to find affordable help to do it, every season. This would enable me my own mowing, leaf and even pine needle pick-up(?) without all the previously required walking and standing. Looks exciting! Makes me feel hopeful I'll STILL be able to work in my yard..... as long as this robot is not cost prohibitive. Or maybe, the company would like to try out this application, here in the USA> in MY YARD!? I'm VERY willing to be the experiment!! Please follow-up with $$$ this costs. Thanks!
Hi Tim, can you advise whether these mower is available in Australia yet, as it’s impressive and would like to purchase one. Can you also advise whether the machine will go in reverse. Thankyou.
If this can be used commercially, it would be a fun and lazy job. But they should have implemented solar panel on top of that battery to keep the battery charged and topped off while be used. I do landscaping and definitely would like to try this on the field commercially.
C'mon Tim... cut that pallet that's hanging around up and put it in your wheelie bin... and the cardboard in the recycling bin... Take that down to the park and start drawing letters and shapes in the lawn.. may have to use the drone to get a good view of the results, or to better control it on a big scale like an open field...
I would only buy the fwd version but he forgot to mention you have to hold one the top buttons keep the blades going big disappointment safety yeah right
They need to do away with the catcher and instead fit a mulcher plug and blade. Then there are no clippings and no need to empty it. That, plus 4wd (or tank treads like the petrol slope mowers have) and a Wi-Fi camera would make this thing perfect! The thing is, can they sell it at a price the largest market demographic can afford? That will be the elderly and/or disabled who are on a pension. Sadly, all electric lawn mowers are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. Rather like robot vacuum cleaners really.
