Being pregnant/having children, especially multiple children close in age, hugely affects your dental health because the babies are taking in so much of your nutrition (calcium, most importantly). When your caclium is too low, along with other vitamins and minerals that are important for your teeth (like vitamin D), your teeth weaken and can eventually just start falling out. Hope this helps, bbg ❤
Companies don’t want you being barefoot so they aren’t held liable for whatever horrible flesh eating bacteria or fungus you picked up from having your tooties out
@@seguaye id love to say they’re lying but i saw like 5 pairs of golden gooses which are like at least 600 dollars each also there were like 50 pairs of shoes it may be over exaggerated
I have a Hozier tattoo. It's cool. He likes the artist. I don't know about you but when I really like something, I can get obsessive about it. Maybe that's what all that's about. He's probably over it now! Too funny! 😂❤
I love that every source and study that says that walking barefoot is good for you includes walking on the grass, sand, in water….not on a shit, needle, cigarette, trash, pollution covered sidewalk!
And also, pretty sure that the other benefits that don't come from having your feet in contact with the ground can be achieved with "barefoot" shoes (as in, they have a really thin sole and are made with a super wide fit. Not that you're actually barefoot) or, much more cheaply (but missing out on like one or two benefits), with flip flops.
Its also good to wear supportive shoes with a wide toe box to keep the healthiest shape of your foot while working, but if you get the chance to walk barefoot in nature, take the opportunity. I never wear shoes on the beach and i looveee soft patches of grass to rest my lil piggies after a hard day. Having flat feet and cramped toes due to bad shoes and being barefoot too often on sidewalks and unsupportive ground do more harm than good. Studies will tell you that but people will only hear what supports their own biases 😮💨@bethanybrookes8479
THIS!!!! Like walking on concrete can't be good for you. If they really want that barefoot life I don't understand why they can't go on hikes barefoot or something.
@@Thebatcavepetfriendlybakery So true. I love walking on grass and gravel and sand, but I'd sooner eat a knife than walk barefoot on any public sidewalk. Ain't no way in hell
+@@Thebatcavepetfriendlybakery it's actually terrible for your feet to wear supportive shoes. It prevents your feet from being able to protect your body from the impact of the ground. The wide toe box is important, though. If you're able to walk/run barefoot on the grass and gravel and dirt, then concrete (which is unnatural anyway) shouldn't be as traumatic to the bones, but if you spend all day wearing shoes, you won't be able to tolerate the hardness of the concrete. There's really nothing wrong with walking barefoot; you wash your feet anyway.
@@leanen451 walking barefoot on the pavement and in stores could cause skin infections, since literally everything drops on the floor. bacteria especially. you could get athlete's foot and fungi and such.
what i think is so funny is that they're like "omg we're cutting off the soles of our shoes to be barefoot in a sneaky way"... while wearing socks. is that not avoiding being barefoot? also cutting them off on ALL of their shoes? what about when it's cold?? i have so many questions. don't get me started with choosing the term "latching" to describe their TOENAILS.
There’s a local man in my home town whose lovingly called “barefoot Larry”. In his 70s, hippie man, tie dye, long hair the whole moment. And he likes to go most places barefoot, (cutts toe nails btw “I’m not gross” what a king. But he keeps sandals in his car because he has to go grocery shopping and doesn’t want his life style to make him disrespect the establishments or make other feel uncomfortable. If you wanna be barefoot live your life, but be respectful, be like Larry. (Also genuinely one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met 10/10 good vibes only)
I hate how people try to make things like abortion religious or political, no one wants an abortion. No one wakes up wanting to do that , it’s not an easy decision, it’s not one anyone wants to make. If they wanna make it “religious” they should probably include the understanding, forgiveness, and the payment of sin. The lack of understanding is nauseating with these people and it makes the rest of us look like weirdos.
I've had 2 first trimester abortions and wasn't phased by either of them- a clump of cells with unique DNA is not a person. I had no qualms about removing it, no grief or mourning. Abortion shouldn't by default have to be a hard decision for a woman to feel poorly about. We are all unique individuals, and while it may be hard for some, it's nothing to others- and that's okay too.
The hidden walking barefoot thing pisses me off so much as someone who works in service. I don’t care that hippies want to walk barefoot, you do you, but the second you walk into a store or restaurant, if you get hurt, WE are liable for it. I genuinely got in trouble because someone slipped in a bathroom wearing flip flops.
Also, you can see the footprints on the store floor. The benefits of walking without shoes have to do with shoes having narrow toe boxes. They make shoes with bigger toe boxes called barefoot shoes that still have the bottoms.
I hate flip flops with a passion, I’m totally grossed out any time I see someone wearing them. They’re unsafe and ugly and literally only appropriate at the beach, pool, or as shower shoes in a dorm bathroom
@Victoria-pr4xe yeah and that's the other problem with their "solution" is... they're not actually solving rhe problem they're still confining their toes into narrow shoes. It's like they just heard "barefoot good" and immediately started ripping up their shoes
Exactly! Was going to post the same. Now I am just thinking bout spending 10 grand on non-descript sneakers! 😮 Depending on your shoe size, you may be able to find a surprising amount of new & nearly new shoes at thrift stores. Esp, brands with funky sizing like Keens, which run really small (ugly shoes, Imo, but very comfy & functional).
I think this every time I try to find anything on Craigslist. People cannot accept that their beat up, used, old, outdated shit is no longer worth what they paid- or even close to it. Especially anything you have worn on your sweaty dogs, the only thing more laughable is used underwear. And you know these people never wore socks with them, cutting out the smelliest part was probably an improvement.
From an Ohioan, Cleveland is NOT a place you want to go barefoot. That is a hospital trip just waiting to happen. And I feel like they’d blame it on their fake shoes before blaming it on the bare feet 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Dude calling her homeschooled is an insult to those of us who are homeschooled. Because my mother would have punished me and my sister if we walked around with soleless shoes.
I worked at the delivery ward at a hospital and we received a couple that was in the Eugenic. First of, Eugenics give birth at home with a mid-wife so getting to the hospital is because there is something very wrong going on with the foetus. The baby had problem getting out in any ways and to be safe for the mom and baby, the obstetric surgeon encouraged a C-section, but these people dont want that because after a C-Section it could affect the fertility of the woman after, also they don't want epidural..... The baby DID NOT want to get out and the obstetrician didn't want to hurt the baby which is completely normal.... the husband told the the surgeon that he did care and that was their decisions. So they made the couple signed papers stating that they cannont sue the hospital for anythibg that happens to their child. And so the obstetrician got ELBOW DEEP to try to get a grip on the foetus and got a grip by the boys leg and was able to pull him out, but doing so she dislocated his leg. The kid got out but he's going to continue to have problems for the rest of his life. The mentality of this group of people is to breed, not to have healthy children. If the woman gets infertile, she is now worthless to them. I think it's HORRIBLE.
14:59 I'm sorry the abortion part was fucked up but as a gay person.. starting off a sentence with "while YOU were busy having gay sex.." is so hilarious 😭😭
I work in a store and I can tell you our floors do not get cleaned often people come in with dogs that poop on the floor. I’ve had to clean puke several times not to mention the amount of glass that has been broken and left
From a black person I believe anyone can do cornrows or any 'black' hairstyle as long as you look good in it^^ and as long as you aren't a toxic person anyone can wear any hairstyle they want!^^
As a black person, I disagree. I think it changes the purpose of the hairstyle (which is to be protective to Afro hair), and so it’s irrespecutful to me. I don’t think people should make cultures into a style while ignoring its purpose. Of course if a non-black person who has Afro hair, I think they have every right to protect their hair with hairstyles made for that. But ofc everyone has their opinions, I’m just sharing mine and the one of a lot of other black folks
My parents are lesbians and I can confirm that I am a real person. My parents taught me to love everyone while setting boundaries. They taught me how to make friends with everyone, and love them despite their human flaws. They taught me how to admit when I'm wrong, which is a lesson the featured family needs to learn.
I absolutely agree with the opinions you have, and also want to explain how pregnancy can cause tooth loss: baby gets all your nutrients, so teeth can become weakened, hair brittle, nails brittle, etc etc. Prenatal vitamins help as well as a good balanced diet and plenty of hydration of course. My teeth deteriorated quite a bit during my last two pregnancies unfortunately and it seems to be more common than I thought. To be fair it doesn't really get talked about much, if at all. Love your videos and I'm so happy for you and Sohie! Have an awesome day 😊
I follow Desiree on Instagram and i know that she had her teeth removed recently bc something about root canals cause autoimmune disorders?? Idk man I did not understand what tf she was talking about
With the lady missing two teeth, getting pregnant takes a LOT of calcium, so depends on their lifestyle and if they refuse to get any calcium vitamins they can loose teeth and bone density I'm pretty sure
She had her front teeth knocked out in an accident when she was a kid. She wears fake teeth sometimes. I’ve come across their videos before and was curious.
Right I was like how does that work. How do those two things go together. I understand having shoes but if you’re spending that much on shoes when you prefer to walk barefoot that seems like a waste of money to me
I grew up as a little kid running around the veldt in Botswana, so I've never liked wearing shoes. No deadly diseases yet, but now that I live in a city people do look at me a bit oddly.
Dental hygienist here. If you keep up with your dental appointments and do the recommended treatments from your dentist, 9.99/10 times pregnancy tooth loss can be prevented. In my nearly ten years in the dental field, I've never seen or heard of it happenening in modern times. More than anything you are at a higher risk for gum disease, gingivitis, and something called a pregnancy tumor that is not painful and goes away after the birth. Maybe some erosion if you are getting sick a lot. Most of the time that those two teeth in particular are missing due to trauma. She hit her face (or someone hit her face) and it broke them off to the point they couldn't be saved.
this is not necessarily about the tik-toker but if a pregnant person doesn't get enough calcium when pregnant the baby can leach calcium from the mom which causes weak bones and teeth. which I find terrifying lol
Yeah I ended up with a bunch of cavities due to pregnancy 😞 I had hyperemesis, which meant I had morning sickness the whole pregnancy, and I'm pretty sure it made my calcium absorption even worse (I promise, I took a whole bunch of multivitamins!). It's something no one really talks about though.
“I don’t claim Texas” SO REAL LMAO I was born there but we moved when I was like 3 or 4 so I don’t remember living there at all, i refuse to claim any of their shenanigans no matter how many times people tell me I’m Texan 😤
I just switched to barefoot shoes for when I can't be barefoot or it's not safe to be barefoot somewhere. Destroying shoes is so wasteful, donate them or something.
My dad is gay ..but I am only here because he originally stayed in the closet and married a woman and had children as was expected of him. 😳 I am happy we're in a world where he can confidently be himself now, even if there are still quite a few closed-minded bigots out there.
If you follow me on Instagram you already know... Last video with this hair until it grows back... I didn't want to cut it, but the hair stylist had other plans for me... Watching this video back is like attending my own funeral...
As much as I don’t want to defend that woman it is possible for pregnancy to mess up your teeth. I’ve birthed 5 kids and with each one my teeth got worse and worse. The baby takes so much nutrients from your body and especially if you were under weight to begin with it can really mess up your teeth. I had trouble keeping down prenatal vitamins which is another reason it affected me so much. I absolutely love your vids! Much love! Namaste! ❤
The irony of the studio having a sign that says “NO STUPID PEOPLE beyond this point” on the door, as she walks in raw dogging the floor with her dirty little pitter patters had me laughing for an ungodly amount of time.
18:34 reminds me of the times my mom has told me that her "goal for being a mom was to aknowlage the generational trauma and stop it." While activly ignoring the fact that she was still giving me trauma. Just a type that is more emotional/mental trauma than physical/smeggual trauma
The beanie baby rant. 😂😂 And, uh, I think the glasses at 2:31 were just his safety goggles before cutting out the soles. Because risking stepping on broken glass or screws on a city sidewalk is one thing, but risking debris in the eye is unacceptable.
17:20 If you don’t get enough calcium in your diet while you’re pregnant, the baby will leech the calcium it needs for it’s bones from your body. Your teeth go first, they become more brittle and prone to cavities. This also happens to people with general calcium deficiencies, so everyone needs to make sure they’re getting enough.
@@violet7773 Same. It's monstrous and I have no idea how women out there are excited to experience this pain only to spend the next eighteen years hopefully caring, loving, and sacrificing everything to make your child happy only to never get thanks, not even a sorry I destroyed your body, mind and soul.
Do they know there are shoes that let you feel like you are walking without shoes while still keeping your grubby toes safe and places won’t kick you out because they are still considered shoes.
The reason most places insist that you wear shoes inside their establishments is for your safety. Because, try as they do to clean everything thoroughly, it's still possible that there may be a small piece of broken glass or something similar on the floor and they don't want you to step on it and hurt yourself. IT also protects them legally, so that if you do decide to make this terrible decision and expose your feet, they can't be held legally liable for however you might hurt yourself.
Teeth fall out during pregnancy if the mother is not taking parental vitamins. It was super common in old times. But now it's rare. Fetus's need calcium and it will steal it from the mother's bones even to her detriment. She appears to not be receiving proper pre-natal care.
What I don’t get , is why cut the soles? The whole thing of barefoot walking is that your toes can spread out and if you still have the top of the shoes on your feet are still restricted alteast some of the time.. + if you want to walk barefoot but some stores don’t allow it have a pair of crocs or slippers in your bag and you can slide them on…
they look a little funny and might be a bit uncomfortable for some people but there's also shoes that seperate your toes like gloves would that are supposed to help with that, much safer than walking around dirty ass city sidewalks barefoot
For anyone wondering, being pregnant/having children, especially multiple children close in age, hugely affects your dental health because the babies are taking in so much of your nutrition (calcium, most importantly). When your calcium is too low, along with other vitamins and minerals that are important for your teeth (like vitamin D), your teeth weaken and can eventually just start falling out. I had two kids 11 months apart and am very lucky that my teeth haven't been affected other than a slightly weakened enamel. Mommas, make sure to let your body properly recover (physically and mentally) before having more kids. ❤ Take your vitamins, brush and floss, and use mouthwash with fluoride.
@sintay8002 Do people actually swallow their toothpaste? 😭 I inhaled a glob of toothpaste once on total accident and it was traumatizingly minty, I will never forget it
