Hey man I just wanted to let you know that the ad was incorporated well into the video and was stimulating enough for me to stay and watch. Nice job dude.
It's still so ironic how Jared Hess, the director of A Minecraft Movie, outright stated he wishes to avoid the controversy of ugly Sonic, only to put out a trailer so bad that a 'fixing Sonic' situation means overhauling the entire movie
Literally as soon as I read that Minecraft was gonna get a movie like a Year ago, I knew instantly, that it was just gonna be awful and here we are getting visual proof of how awful it is.
There's a chrome extension that lets you see dislikes again. Even though people can't see them under normal circumstances, that isn't stopping them from disliking things anyways. Minecraft movie sits currently at 1.8M dislikes to its 717K likes.
Not as big of a ratio as I was expecting eh. I wish normal people could still see dislikes. Does the extension work on android mobile or only computers??
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki It should work but I don't have a modern android device so idk. in case you were wondering it's just called return youtube dislike.
I……….am Steve. But seriously, trailers nowadays are UNwatchable as fuck. They either tell you EVERYTHING, or mislead you SO HARD(Joker 2)that you think the movie’s actually gonna be good.
Fr, i had to actively avoid trailers for the Mario movie because they told you the entire story and showed most of the references and easter eggs. So when the movie came out there were very few surprises :(
not meaning to talk about the brilliance that is The Wild Robot again, but when i first saw that trailer i was on youtube and had no idea what it was for. i sat there the entire 2 and a half ish minutes already sold on not skipping, and nearly shed a damn tear. that's how you make a trailer that works.
@@leoultimaupgraded9914 please go and see it! i had the same feeling when it spoke tbh but the whole film is done so well, even with talking animals and the robot, it doesn’t feel overly cartoony and it is so beautiful
When I saw the trailer for it I was pretty excited but then the robot started talking... which was a bad decision imo. I doubt I will watch that movie since in my country the dubbing is so fucking awful that I won't even watch this with subtitles or in english since I'm just so traumatized
9:00 The same VFX studio that did Sonic also did Cats funny enough, they also mocked both movies in Rescue Rangers since they did the CG for that as well
@@stark_man0278 he knew who it was which made it less unfunny. Also don’t you think his voice is just annoying he literally like “Like bro, Like bro, like bro.” Every twenty seconds.
@@RIPandTEARB1TCHESoh yeah, because everyone has the same opinion. No one finds screaming funny. (This does not mean I find screaming funny. I’m just saying some people probably do)
Still so funny to me that Minecraft trailer and Arcane S2 trailer came out within 24 hours of each other. Really shows the 2 ends of the spectrum of video game adaptations.
Moral of the story: video game adaptions only truly work if they are animated. If it’s live action, you have to stick hard to the source (that’s why Sonic and FNAF did well even thought they were live action)
@@Gustoberg not sure. sometimes youtube just gives random people experimental features for a little while to see how people would use it. I've had some very odd things in the past for only a week at a time.
I feel like what most people detest in that trailer is the ugly sheep and ugly llamas and the chance of unfunny screaming goat joke that'll be present on the movie.
5:25 I dunno why but I started imagining a version of this movie where Steve is still Jack Black, but the only thing he can say is “Steve?” Everything else is communicated via body language and gesture.
I imagine Jack Black turning to his left and pondering as he says that line, would've been way cooler. Maybe that's the delivery they actually wanted for that line.
If it wasn't for Tyson Hesse redesigned the ugly live-action Sonic design, then the Sonic movie could've been cooked so hard with the flames of disaster and there wouldn't be anymore sequels by now. If only _Minecraft Movie_ could get the same treatment...
I'm still convinced it was all a marketing plot, they made Sonic intentionally ugly because they knew people were going to make a big deal about it and given them enough publicity, so when it did happen that was their cue to say "alright let's now work on the actual Sonic design." I have no proof but also no doubts.
I’ve been convinced rise of the beasts is mid. Not bad but some parts are lacking. I still enjoyed it personally but I get what people are saying. It’s a shame honestly.
In fairness, the _Cats_ trailer not showing what the movie is about fits perfectly, since the movie itself is just a ninety-minute first act and then, like, a ten minute third act that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
if you take anything away from this video, it should be that even i, a non-transformers fan, had a lot of fun with transformers one, and you should see it in cinemas as soon as you can!
Paramount did TF One so fucking dirty. It's the best TF movie we've ever gotten and they BLEW IT WITH THAT TRAILER! It isn't going to get a sequel and we're going to get Bumblebee slop til the end of time
I just came back from seeing it because a mate convinced me to. It's actually really good but I wasn't planning to see it because the first trailer put me off with the obnoxious jokes. I can see why they would want to show some of that to get kids in but if they had struck more of a balance I reckon more adults and parents would be willing to see it.
I've been on a new reaction video binge and I have to say, it's really funny that I recognize almost all of the faces shown here but I can't remember any of their names lol
Love these style of videos diamondbolt please do a part 2 to this and talk about the false advertising of the kangaroo jack live action movie bc that shit was completely different than what they thought of initially and what the trailers showed.
The problem with Ghostbusters isn't just that the cast was strategically written to cater to "the demographic," the problem was that they made a purely bastardized version of a beloved comedy film so soon after it's co-star & writer, Harold Ramis died. To make such a terribly written film so soon after the fact felt like an insult to those of us who loved the original movies, it was in such bad taste.
They also got caught trying to manipulate the bad reviews: They went through and deleted any general negative criticism, but left all the reviews raging at women to paint it as just people being sexist.
To be honest I don't know why the minecraft movie trailer is so hated, I thought the sheep design was so dumb looking like actual minecraft sheep lol. It's crazy that people are already calling it a bad movie though, how have people not learned that movie trailers are usually terrible, even if the movie is good? I don't have high hopes of it being amazing or anything, but I don't know why people assume so fast. My guess is that it'll be on par with the mario movie, not terrible, not amazing, but a pretty fun unserious watch
I just wanted to say that thank you for your videos, i have like went through a lot lately but your videos give a sense of comfort. Thank you Diamondbolt ❤
Okay but the teaser trailer for Godzilla Minus One is by far the best trailer I’ve ever seen in history. The ominous buildup of the state of Japan post-WW2, followed by the sheer, raw as hell destruction only for you to get one single shot of Godzilla’s face with him chomping on the train, it’s all pure art.
I have been rewatching Diamondbolt videos two times over the last 2 months. Im propably going to rewatch this two times in the next week or so Entertaining and rewatchable with just my style of humour and editing style
0:46 This actually happened with A Minecraft Movie. When they released that clip showing them using the crafting table and explaining the random buckets. A lot of people seemed to have changed their minds on the movie.
Man I wish Transformers One had a better first trailer. If only some exec didn't decide that they needed to make a funny and mass market appealing trailer instead of just showing what we want in the form of robots fighting
I’m typically not one to dogpile onto bad movie trailers, cause I’m always like “the film could be good, it’s just being marketed poorly.” But man that mindset is a lot harder to keep nowadays.
Bro the TFHype guy deserves to be marketing the Transformers movies, cause he is doing a much better job than the ones who made the trailers for the movie
Personally I enjoy ROTB I think it's better than mid it's not a 10 but good and the Minecraft trailer just feeling the Green Screen through my phone was just nasty😭
I feel like everyone on the internet is so obnoxious when it comes to, literally everything. Like every single time someone I announced you got swarms of people overreacting about the most mundane shit I've ever seen I'm my entire life.
Exactly. Why do people hate random kids for liking something? Also the hate for Garten of Banban was undeserved. The devs were just 2 brothers, not a greedy corporation. And I actually like their games 🥺
