You are such a self-critic. Landed first try on flat then actually caught the 2nd try on the double-set, and it looked totally passable to me, not a beauty, but properly caught double flip all the same

it's not the flick of double-flips that makes me not so hot on them, it's the other thing you mentioned, that ppl just wait for the board to flip and then land on it. People don't "catch" double-flips. They're technically double-kickflips, but it's a kickflip with bad form

Easiest funny boy trick I used to pull out in a game of SKATE (Only if homies started it with under-shuvs etc. I'm a gentleman XD) was definitely the Nollie Norths & Switch Ollie South. Their actually really easy, you just have to practice the leg extension :D Would love to see you run through some of the sneaky tricks you would use in games of SKATE. 😇

For me it’s hardflips that rotate slightly backside and don’t actually flip - effectively vertical pop shuvs. The fact that most people can’t tell the difference is very irritating. It’s not a hardflip if it rotates backside!

If you do it off a kicker it's easier to catch that trick because it's already on an upward trajectory. Kickers are also good because they train you how to use your inertia to 'bounce' off of the ground as opposed to 'pushing' off of the ground.

When I was growing up no comply, 180 and 360 were rad. In my early 20s they were hated and have since then.

If Rodney Mullen can do a triple heel and keep his feet together, I don't see why us mere mortals cant double flip and keep our feet together 🤷‍♂

Id like to add, im tired of pretending mall grabs are bad...its literally the only way to hold a board and not get grip burn or calluses...

I try to catch my doubles back foot so they look nice. A lot of people just Huck it..and its gross

loved double flip day I would looveee a fingerflip day, its my favorite trick, especially with a 180/270/360 involved I would also love a self-love day, where maybe you just do your favorite tricks or ones you used to love back in the day that you havnt done in a while, you're always so critical on yourself for noooo reason, would be nice to have a vid where its all self love, no negative comments, just being proud and happy with yourself

Love the footage of properly caught double-flips, you never see them done that way anymore - although I think someone just did one during competition that looked pretty good, either at that X Games Chiba or the Rockstar Energy comp. Can't remember who it was

Jimmy Carlin also double flipped carlsbad at the end of his Black & White part. That was my favorite double flip of all time

Kerry Getz used to have insane double flips! And Bastien Salabanzi too! He usually rotates with them though but his double flip tricks are insanely stylish. He even landed a couple nollie bigspin double heels and made them look good too!

Jason I strongly disagree that people hate double flips. I don't think that's a thing. Maybe you just said that as a premise to make a video on, I can understand that if that's the case. My take on it is a lot of people just don't like when tricks look bad. Doesn't matter the trick if the person makes it look bad. That's why people don't like pressure flips IMO, as they are probably the most difficult trick to make look good. People just don't try double flips enough to get good enough at them to make them look good. Ain't no one here that made their first 100 kickflips look good either.. Takes time and repetition to make it sweeeeeet.
