The MOST HAUNTED Village In England, Pluckley (Kent) - I Was SPOOKED!

I live quite close to Pluckley and visit every now and then, because it is so beautiful and I love the pub! I agree there is a sort of enclosed, close and heavy (not scarey) atmosphere. The sky can look arched as well, as if you are in a snow globe..without the snow! One evening I took my sister and her husband to the Black Horse for lunch. There was no wind outside and no draughts but our candle blew out...we all saw it and the smoke trail was horizontal as if someone had blown it out forcefully. Some of the other visitors saw it and none of their candles blew out. On the way home we were driving down Smarden Road, about in line with Dering Lodge and a bank of fog was across the road. There was no fog leading up to it. We approached it and drove through it...and I mean through it. It was literally a couple of inches thick and looked as if someone had fed smoke into the gap in double-glazing. I saw it and so did my sister and brother in law. The temperature dropped significantly too as it does when you walk into sea mist. The only other time I saw something was my sister, two nephews and a niece. We were walking away from the pub and my niece and I both saw a sort of bouncing orb go along someone's garden..it was orangey yellow and about the size of a side plate. Same night - in the area you said you felt you were in the Savannah we saw a lot of what looked like orbs. It has to be said that it could have been midges or something but they were moving downwards as if it was rain drops...it definitely wasn't raining. Lastly in amongst those trees was a light which moved back as we approached it and forward again as we backed away. I've been there many times in the 40 years I've been in Kent and that is all I have seen.

Good Video of my home village for 39 years. I was a Ghost when I retired from full time work, but I had to give it up. I got too frightened!! LOL

A ghost dog sounds so wholesome. Unfortunately I would love to believe in ghosts, but I'm addicted to debunking videos. I do love this video though, that place is incredibly beautiful. I really enjoyed it.

What a beautiful place. think most of us would love to stay in place like that (but maybe without the ghosts lol). Would really love just a walk round but being up in Glasgow it's a bit far. Anyways, Excellent video. enjoyed the ghosts stories. A night walk would be good, but not sure if i would do it though lol. Take care, Alie. (new Sub after watching this video)

Good Video. All that is is a beautiful walk in the countryside spent most of the walk in Little Chart. Should have had a pint in the Dering arms, best pub by far

My husband years ago did some electrical work in the Black Horse pub and there is a room upstairs that not even the dog would go in.

Hi jack, a few years ago when I visited pluckley it was a stormy rainy night and I visited the church as I entered the graveyard before you get to the church it felt like something was trying to choke me or pull out for my help. It was by the church and the path that leads to the back of the gate. Been meaning to return for another visit but just haven't had chance to yet

Ha ha. I walked Derring woods at dusk all i heard were owls and buzzards and one of the most wonderful places to hear nightingales!!! They very real.

Ancestors born-and buried in Pluckley. Looked them up when I visited a few years ago!! Seriously my great grandmother came from Bethersden 3 miles away.

Its all a load of what was in that bag someone left that you showed at 03:51. Nice place though, seems peaceful despite quite a few pubs there.

Go back when the winds are blowing. Night walk would be ideal. I live in a 124-year-old house and it has had it's ghostly moments. Its a bit dormant now but one never knows when the activity returns. I live in Virginia USA

I was sat in my car at night by the graveyard I heard a carriage pulled by horses pass my car the sound was deafening but nothing was there.

Are ghosts aware that they're ghosts and do they get frightened themselves? Imagine being a ghost, condemned to haunt some vandalised old hospital or a burnt out house that's permanently dark and miserable on the inside. Then you look at Pluckley , a quaint village with warm and friendly pubs, beautiful woodlands a pretty church and wide open field. Imagine the envy you would feel.

I WAS BORN IN THE CITY OF YORK AND THAT IS THE MOST HAUNTED CITY IN EUROPE.MY LATE WIFE AND I LIVED IN A NUMBER OG HAUNTED PROPERTYS FROM 1966 THIS FLAT WAS HAUNTED WHEN WE MOVED HERE IN 1988 AND STILL IS.

Spent many a night there , respectfully and professionally as an invrstigator. Sadly we investigators are being blamed for noise and rubbish left when its the yob element who turn up in cars thinking its a laugh to scare the girls , and who are leaving rubbish and making loud noise (they've disturbed our vigils and audio a number of times) so now the car park gets locked early to stop us and others from parking up at night. Its a shame the antisocial yobs ruin it for everyone else including us investigating who have been nothing BUT respectful of the village and its people and have never left rubbish anywhere.

It's the wrong kind of day for the most haunted village in England. It's too sunny. Overcast, dark, and spooky is better. It's more atmospheric. Also, around dusk, just before it gets dark, would be ideal.

I have been there...even at night, and it is about as haunted as a dogs turd. All rumours and bullshit
