The first one with spike, if you look closely, it is branches at the based. When a tree is dying, they often try to make some new "offspring's" at the base of their trunk. They can live longer than the mother tree, and they basically started to make roots from the decaying trunk. They survived longer that their "mother tree" I also saw that on maple, from the wound humans do, but the base is too low for that, I think.

Greeting from Down Under. This really is the suff of nightmares...I enjoy sipping a brand of rum, bottled in Cornwall, UK. The rum is called "DEAD MAN'S FINGERS" rum. You may well have just put me off my one source of coping with this crazy planet 🤣😱

The fungus is the scariest. That's what's gonna be left when humans go extinct.

Yeah, that's just a whole lota nopes from me. But finding a crab in a cabin in the mountains 500 km from the nearest beach is definitely a first place weird. I would take it to be some kinda message from the universe, but it's probably an escapee from a nearby cookout who has been wandering the countryside having all kinds of swashbuckling adventures in its new and completely alien surroundings. Leave it be, give it some food and set it outside in a tub of water. But whatever, just don't eat it, who knows what it's been in or what it's contracted.
