Wait wait…HD 18733b is a hot Jupiter. It is a gas giant with no solid surface. Therefore there is no landscape for the glass rain to sculpt or create dunes… it’s tidally locked and the extreme winds are due to the vast temperature difference between the day and night sides, but it doesn’t have any form of a surface.
