I just watch the movie and my gosh she was terrifying. It also gave me something to think about, like how did people with mental illness cope when during the war? It’s hard and heartbreaking to imagine.

It's sad to think about. We have living proof - our grandparents. They lived through the war and did not have any therapy to turn to after it, so they all just raw-dogged it, suppressed it, committed suicide/went crazy. My grandparents carried a lot of trauma and it showed way later in their old age.

@@GEORGIANATOR123 Agreed it’s really sad. And there are Palestinian children who will be grieving after this and it will pass through generation. Our generation are just recovering from WWII and this, feels like we are back to zero. I hope you and your family are dealing with.

The past several years, during the pandemic, we’ve been able to witness firsthand what challenging times combined with mental illness can do to people. Their comments are all over social media and their conspiracy theories have driven wedges into their families. Plus, through social media, they’ve easily found other people who are of similarly unsound mind to reinforce their paranoid theories. It’s terrifying to see it play out and to see how widespread it is. We desperately need better mental health supports.

Who knows if she was really that good? The entire act was in her head. Imagine it without the other dancers, the set and fireworks that she imagined.

It's funny that line has become her most iconic line from Pearl while the line that got stuck in my brain is " What are you doing here, Mr Goose?" Lol i literally say that all the time lol
