This actually ISN'T the most important part. This is very crucial to your combat strategy, but it won't do much alone. It's more important to learn how to switch around the distance between your and your target, spacing and closing together in a way that takes advantage of their reflexes and patterns. Adding the curveball to this makes it exponentially more effective. Movement abilities like dash, shadow step, blink, thunder dash, and such are incredibly good for this. If done right, you can kill them near-instantly.

Ok... mobile players, u can also curve the ball like they do in pc. Here's the trick: Do the same thing as he did, BUT, theres no need of shiftlock on. Just swipe ur camera to the direction u want and the ball will curve along that direction. Note: If the ball is very fast, its gets harder to pull it off successfully so you need to have a fast reflex if u want to pull it of, especially in standoffs.

Something for new players is that your block distance is huge. Your sword sometimes isn't even touching the ball. Also, if you hold block it automatically parries, you don't have the click

The curve shot works for people who click very early cause the ball would take longer to reach them. I've gotten a couple wins with that if the ball isn't going too fast that it reaches them before their counter runs out.

The ball actually doesn't go in the direction you are facing, it follows your camera.

Just wanna say it’s better to do this out of shift lock because it’s unexpected when u don’t face the way ur curving the ball

I just started playing. I have already developed a startagy. I look backwards all the time see they can see my move. I do that for a while and then making the ball go up catching them off guard.

for me, i learned the second i started playing because i took into account that facing another player curves the ball to that player, so i just tried that with no one and the ball curved expectedly

When i started playing I always missed a ball moving slightly fast but thanks to tutorials like yours im able to curve ball at 5 wins I dont think its that your a slow learner I think its that you didnt watch enough tutorials cause in my opinion anyone can become good with a tutorial

The curve I use to is when facing backwards then block, it makes the ball go to the enemy slower. So by the time it hits the enemy, their block stops working. Unless it’s someone who blocks the ball at the last second.

U can jump + curve the ball up for a very high curve and u can trick them when the ball gets rlly fast by turning around and shooting the ball back so it takes longer to reach the player and mess them up

I kind of know how to do a curve ball but I usually just go in close

you should flick instead of just turning and never predict the ball. you should use only your reaction speed unless the ball exits you field of vision incase the person delays the ball.

even when i try to curve it it goes straight and even when i’m looking at someone it doesn’t go to them

i’ve been playing for about a day now and i already know how to curve ball. it has won me a lot of kills but also when i get close up to a player i don’t really know when to hit block cause obviously it gets faster and i keep losing to that. so idk.

Ok so question. I see people getting really close with their weapons and spam blocking. When I do it, I can't because of that stupid 3 second cooldown. I get super close to standoff but then die because of how fast the ball is and I still have my cooldown going on. How do I even remove the cooldown because its insanely annoying.

I think that the packs are not on the wheel for you because you've already unlocked 3/3 for both packs

I achieved to reach a lot of standoffs, and much win them, by watching other people play and learning from my mistakes. *By the way, one month and a half ago it was the first time I played and I just did it for 20 mins*

idk how fast the average player learns/progresses but i've been playing since 11/2/23 and I have already got around 40 wins, and 300 kills. I learned the curve mechanics yesterday and I basically instantly improved and win games more often (I love Thunder Dash right now)

I cant curve balls since im an xbox player and the screen moves too slow to curve even when i increase my sense.

this is why in deflect its better to use no shiftlock.
