Let's do our best to band against the vapid animals on the stupid funny blue bird app and try to offer support to Pikamee and everyone else who was targeted by all the useless Twitter freaks. We have to be better than them and we can never forget how small and weak they are. If you were part of the insignificant mob that turned on her for doing absolutely nothing, this is for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tghYbXz7goE.html

Hello Mr. Phantom. RU-vid recommended your video to me and I must say. Your word choice is pure catharsis. I plan to look into your content. At the risk of indulging my negative emotion too much, I won't be joining you in this well-deserved verbal lashing. Instead, I'd like to post my own thoughts on the topic and hopefully get some constructive replies. I would like to point out that the reason this is happening is because these harassers fundamentally don't believe in the individualistic "live and let live" attitude that you appealed to at 3:04 and indeed that most of us believe in. Pikamee is a casualty in a civil war in an unstable ideology that privileges protected classes(LGBT) over individual human beings.

for more context on pikamee (things she discussed in the past on some of her streams and videos) Pikamee is a mixed-race child of an American father in the service industry and a Japanese mother. She's faced a life of bullying and harassment living in Japan for being different. In school, she was harassed for being blonde and had difficulty adjusting. Furthermore, she couldn't make friends because her father was in the military, and they moved places a lot. Her parents divorced eventually, and she decided to stay in Japan. Facing harassment all her life, she decided to become a shut-in, and avoid society, until she discovered V-Tubing. That's when she came out of her shell, started a career in this field, and became moderately successful in the Japanese-speaking community. Being Bi-lingual, she decided to cater to an English-speaking audience to broaden her exposure, and she soon found new success in the western world. Unfortunately, her family was struck with Covid at the end of 2022, she was diagnosed with a bad spine that had to be surgically fixed and her mental health wasn't at its best then. This caused her to take a break for about 2 months, and she wanted her comeback to be great, so she chose "Hogwarts Legacyy" as a game to stream to return to her best. Little did she know that she would be facing an onslaught of harassment, threats, bullying, and blackmail that was too much for her. Overwhelmed by the assault, she canceled the stream, and went silent for 3 weeks, only to return to announce her retirement from being a V-Tuber. Keep in mind that streaming games were her passion, her connection to the world, and it was taken from her by people who claim to be inclusive, supportive, and understanding of those who are different.

It's really unclear exactly how much of her decision to graduate was based upon the Hogwarts Legacy harassment though. It's been stated that there was talk of her retiring for the past year. It looks like the HL thing, (which seemed to die out pretty quickly for Pika as she never played it) was at most the nail in the coffin among a variety of pre-existing issues she was dealing with. I think all this harassment has been terrible, but I'm not about to dehumanize anybody over this. It's not worth it. Really.

If they have no problem dehumanizing Pika I have no problem dehumanizing them. Act like a human being or I won’t treat you like one.

I gotta admit i agree with you. I'm not a big fan of Pikamee, but i enjoyed watching a few streams of her or clips from her streams. And i was surprised to hear that she was graduating and shocked to hear why she apparently does so. It turns my stomach that so much hateful simpleminded beings go around on the internet and bully people into obscurity. And for such petty reasons even... Pikamee did not deserve all that hate just because she wanted to play a game. She wanted to play a game and those troglodytes bully her passion to pieces for it. Words have power over people. Words hurt. We have to use care and thought in every statement, not mindlessly curse each thing we disagree with. It is okay to disagree, it is okay to not like something. It is okay to not support something you dislike or find wrong. But, however, to throw so much hate at a person for wanting to play a game, that so happens to be connected to a franchise made by someone with questionable views on trans-people, and calling that person transphobic, boycotting that persons carrier, a person who is not connected to the actual issue IS WRONG. I am so conflicted. I hate the fact Pikamee got hurt for planning something fun for her community and for herself. I hate the fact that probably noone will reflect and apologise for this mess. I have to say i hope that the blind haters who did this to Pikamee get the same amount of hate directed straight back at themselves. Hell, i hope even worse things happen to them. But i shouldn't think that way. Because blind hate get people hurt who do not deserve it. Don't get me wrong, i am very sad and angry about this situation. To Pikamee i wish her luck for wherever her path takes her next and all the happiness she deserves. For those who spat all that hatred on her passion, i hope that you reflect on what you did, what you caused. Watch carefully what you say or post online. You are not invisible. You are not anonymous. If you throw stones through every window, you are sorrounded by piles of broken glass. Watch your step.

It was vehement hatred and cruelty. I'm so glad Pika has good friends watching over her and offering her help. We won't forget what they did to her and what they did to us. We won't let them forget either. Take good care of yourself.

A bit extreme, but I understand the anger. Please don't overdoo with your frustration. Collateral damage may cause more harm than good to everyone. Call the harrasers out, but be careful where you aim and with the caliber. If people won't do this then we may have another "innocent bystander getting hurt" situation, and then it'll be the vtubing community fault.

I thought the same thing the first time, the second time, the third time, the fourth time. Go back and see what I posted when Coco was getting harassed. Time after time they do it again and again and time after time I've sat here and watched it happen. I'm not going to just sit here and "be the bigger man" pretending I'm helping but telling people to not get heated. They need to be held vehemently accountable for their behavior and should be shamed and ridiculed as cautionary tales for anyone else who decides the be too comfortable being inhuman and blatantly disrespecting peoples lives and safety. They can rage bate all they want, but this was never about rights or political views. It's disgusting monsters showing their true faces and I won't stop until every single one of them deletes their shit takes, goes private like the spineless legless cowards they are, or realizes they were wrong and apologizes for maliciously attacking good eggs like Pika. Every "this account limites who can view their tweets" and "this post has been deleted by the author" is one more victory and I will savor each and every single one of them. I will not let them hurt another one of the few good content creators social media promotes. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, that's understandable and you are NOT in the wrong for choosing to be impartial. But I will not be.

@@PhantomCh It's not really about "being the bigger man". More about optics and tactics. And not screwing up. They have 10 years more experience in influencing/manipulating social media and social optics to their advantage. If they won't have other vtubers they will utilize another fandom for their advantage, to make vtubers look bad. They are already trying to make the community look like "maps" or "deviants" etc. because they like Pikemee's avatar design. They can use other communities. Make this a "fandom vs fandom", presented as "everyone vs that bigoted fandom". Similar stuff has been done in the past and it worked. Gamers being painted as universally awful people is one. A more recent example is with the Spanish language itself. There are bad actors trying to paint it as a fundamentally bigoted language, and everyone using it as the same, just because people were offended with the west using "Latinx" instead of the proper "Latino" etc. Dehumanization by sycophants exploiting minorities for their own bigoted ends. For these harrasers to face consequences and accountability they need to lose their social status. And you can only do that through good optics, and tactfulness. Express your frustration and need for accountability, but make sure they won't have anything they can use to bludgeon you with it.

Exactly. They are desperately rage baiting in the hopes of getting some sort of excuse to cry wolf and pretend they are the victims. I've seen some people already use others tweets for it. Cherry picking and misconstruing other peoples anger to pretend they are the victims. I made my views explicitly stated. The truth is they overstepped and overstayed. This time they attacked someone who didnt even do what they attacked them for. We have been provided ample ammunition by their vapid and bloodthirsty subhuman actions. So many countless pages of people blatantly posting misinformation, making shit takes and this time they fucked up. People arent just falling for it. There isnt a damn thing they can say or do, they know it too. That's why they go private, that's why they delete their tweets. Scrub it clean, they were never a part of it. THEY made lists and sites to target people for wanting to play a game. They arent the only ones who have lists of screenshots. This will be loud, I won't be silent, I will never forgive them, and they will be made as an example. If you're going to act and speak with such disregard for the lives of others without even a single shred of remorse, restraint, respect, or decency. Then I greatly look forward to watching them get shredded apart by the mob they incited. I hope it's every bit as demeaning and dehumanizing for them as their attacks on Pikamee and others were. I hope they crawl and limp back to their echochambers and I will enjoy knowing I and many others live rent free in their empty heads. This will not be forgotten, this will be remembered and referenced for years as a pitch black stain on their livelihoods and movements and all I can say in response is "deserved"

@@PhantomCh There's more development you may want to consider, but it seems RU-vid is deleting my comments. In short - there's proof Pikamee decided to graduate long, long time ago. Can't post the links, sorry.

@@BlaineCraner yeah she was considering graduating because of her families health problems and her own health problems but she decided not to. She came back to streaming, to her fans that she loves, was EXTREMELY excited to play more games again, announced she wanted to play Hogwarts, and was IMMEDIATELY harassed into silence and graduation. She decided not to do it.
