as someone from the uk, i was visiting my uncle and aunt over christmas and went to take the dogs for a walk over a massive field. while walking i heard a shotgun go off which obviously being the uk startled me however i soon found out that you can posses certain fire arms with specific ammo (i think its 22lr for any rifle) in the uk however you need a permit, strong background checks and you have to keep the firearm and ammunition in 2 separate safes

For anyone in the comments wondering: Narcan (also known as Naloxone) is what EMS/paramedics will give as treatment for opioid overdose. Due to the nature of the situation and physical response, it was most likely fentanyl, due to the increasing rise in those overdoses as well.
