There were still fatal crashes these years, yeah (which the video does not include for obvious reasons), but if we were racing before the 2000's, these crashes would indeed definitely be very fatal. We're all really glad that the Modern Safety Systems exist.
@@mace2gorc872 driver was Sophia Flörsch, and while severely injured, she actually drove the same race the year after. Iirc, she drove over a curb, lifting her car making it unable to utilize the break, and then drove over another car which functioned like a ramp, launching her full speed into the barrier.
Yeah, while the girl of the first accident in Macau survived, i stopped the video after that Eau Rouge crash at 2:05, because i´m pretty sure someone died there. I remember watching an interview of Lewis Hamilton and it happened right this moment and you could see it in his face straight away that something bad happened.
Exactly why RU-vid not showing how many people disliked the video anymore was a massive mistake in my opinion. I get it, they want to make it so that people give the video a chance without being scared away by the like/dislike ratio, but it also removed the ability to warn other RU-vidrs that the video is clickbait, or not at all what was promised by the video title. If you can see that 90% of people disliked a video, it's a pretty good bet that something fishy is going on.
I still can't grasp Grosjean's accident how he survived that. I literally still get goosbumps and tears seeing that. I lived through Ratzenberg and Senna's death in 1994, Bianchi's death, and saw several unfortunately deadly accidents, but from all the accidents I saw, that Grosjean accident was the most impactful and violent accident i have EVER SEEN, and the fireball it accompanied was like a seal of death. I vividly remember seeing that live on TV and my heart sank to my feet, i felt the coldest run through my spine, and literal tears, as there is still no reason or explenation despite the contrary that he was able to survive that accident. I could not believe seeing him alive escaping that wreckage, and surviving with just burn marks on his hands. I was still in such deep shock but that turned into tears of relief, but i was shook for like two days from that. I cannot grasp the impact it must have been not only for him, but for his family, the team, and other F1 drivers. But it must be said that i think it's one of the biggest miracles in racing int the past 30 years. I think Barrichello's survival at that same '94 Imola weekend is on the same level of miracle.
Amen. I know the exact feeling you're describing. I had the same reaction to Steve Grissom's NASCAR wreck at Atlanta. That sick, humbling certainty that you just watched someone die. Then you hear that he said his ankle hurt a little.
Yeah, me and my family were over to friends and we were watching the race while eating. It was insane. Everyone went quiet for quite some time after the accident.
Yep, still remember seeing it clear as day. Was hungover on the couch watching F1 with my dad, my dad shouting fire, and just being stunned for a few seconds. I then said that I was certain we just watched a man die. Those 28 seconds before he got out seemed like an hour.
All of those people standing and camping beside the side of the road during those rally races are seriously tempting fate. They are literally inches away from death
You're more likely to be hit by a vehicle just walking down a street than to be hit by one of these, by your logic, breathing air is seriously tempting fate.
Motorsport is dangerous this footage goes out to all the engineers and designers who work endersly to make racing safe there may be drivers that are fatally killed in Motorsport we must praise all drivers for there spirit and bravery ..awesome footage ..
In the description, it says "Everyone would make a full recovery". Are you seriously telling me none of these crashes were fatal!? That's insane, these are some of the most brutal crashes I've ever seen. I hope everyone did survive though. Epic compilation.
By full recovery he means they aren't in a graveyard, which tbf, if this was in any decade before the 2010s, basically almost every one of these would be a death.
Excellent, great pace & mix, best I’ve seen in that category. Thank you for leaving out Senna & Dale and all the other known fatals. The only thing I didn’t see was Isle of Mann, there is a 200 mph flush head on with a building that would have fit. I hope they never outlaw tequila for South American rally drivers, the world would be diminished for it. Again, really good video, content & production.

21:58 did that with a go-kart when I was young lol it was a straight drop off though, broke my nose, collarbone, both wrist, and a fractured skull. Flying full speed in an area I've never been before, don't do that haha I had a helmet on too, but it didn't cover my forehead, smacked the steering wheel and it was lights out
That Grosjean crash will forever be absolutely mind blowing, especially that he jumped out of there basically unharmed. Still boggles the mind. I was convinced he was a goner watching that live.
I think the safest to crash is the Formula 1 drivers. They have the most advanced equipment, even technology to keep them from beign crushed from the top (its called a halo). Plus they are professionals of top of the top. Advanced gear against fire too, even caught in fire - they will come out okay (as best as possible). 6:34 the guy came with only burned hands and ankles 28 seconds in full fire.
“No fatal crashes are shown in this video”. Proceeds to show in the first clip a crash that was indeed fatal. It killed two photographers I believe that were up there
he is lying by saying none of them are fatal I’ve seen one of them they sadly passed away in the hospital due to a minor injury. and others were fatal or had minor injuries or were safe, don’t believe most titles on the internet guys.

I just don't understand NASCAR, it is so stupid. Just running around in a circle. Only one left turn. Why is even a sport and why it is so popular? Is it obly becouse someone might die and you could witness it?

Pretty good video. My only complaint is that your editing of the audio is terrible. The difference in sound levels between some clips is really irritating as I turned one up then get blasted by the next clip. Even the iMac iMovie (FREE) software allows for independent adjusting of the audio levels within the clip. I'm surprised that whatever you used doesn't. Other than that it was ok.
That's a woman, and I don't believe (but haven't fact checked) that crash killed any spectators. Also before you're like "woman drivers" she later went on to podium at 24 hr Le Mans
