Man it's pretty bold to be riding those things at those speeds in shorts and tees. My husband hit a deer on his motorcycle right out of our driveway going maybeee 35 and his arm was hamburger where he slid. Road rash is nothing to scoff at.
@@GoHerping There's some good options around if you look at motorcycle/motocross gear for some pants with aramid/kevlar in them that you can still comfortably use in the heat. I've had motorbikes since I was 10, but those electric things scare me. Enjoy though, happy to see you happy. :)
I don't like Ebikes at all, but I actually like this one. I like the keycard thing maybe because I'm just scared of parking it and getting it stolen, over all good review herping!
Even people with 400lb motorcycles don't tend to leave their bikes out of sight for long because people will steal 'em. I can't imagine an electric bicycle is much safer just because it has a keycard. This electric bike content is so much fun though. I almost wish I didn't have a car that needs regular maintenance drives because a bike like this would be so much fun around town
Might be good to use hand signals for turning. Especially on the road. Also your wheels might be out of true! You can get that fixed at a bike shop or do it yourself with the right tools.
Hi some bike are shipped with cheep tyres and this affects the balance shown on your video. Also if you change the handle bars I recommend motorcycle type and light, this will change the look and handling of the bike. Enjoy😊
You can disable the keycard activation . There’s a whole list of functions not included in the manual for some reason . If anyone has questions let me know
Just ordered the motor goat v3. It's a similar style but it's got a stronger motor and battery combo. Room for a second battery that they sell and its about $2500. Would love to see a review if you ever got a chance
That wobble might go away with more air pressure to get the bead to correctly seat in the rim. It isn't uncommon to have to inflate new tires beyond the sidewall pressure to get them seated, then back down the pressure for riding. It is also possible the tires are poorly constructed with one bead shorter than the other.
Hey, I would love to see some more videos of you out and about. I liked your series when you traveled to New York and when you rode your E-Bike around the city. Also, I don't know why but I would love to see a vlog with you going to Carowinds and riding roller coasters. I know that is random but I was thinking that could be cool.
That wheel wobble comes with crappy bike tires- not to mention that you don’t need to balance bike tires like you do car tires for high speed stability. If you can find some Maxxis or Kenda fat tires that will fit in the bike they’ll be WAY smoother.
Don’t find yourself picking asphalt out of your skin man.. I know it gets hot out there, I ride a CBR that sits at 220 degrees in traffic but the pain of road rash is not ever something I want to feel again
I've been watching your channel for years and I love that your content went from reptiles and herping to ebikes and other hobbies of yours. Your personality is honestly so refreshing and you make even the simplest things into something intriguing and interesting to watch!
Me watching this review because I want this bike purely because I LOVE how it looks and the vintage style. But unsure of the specs and other features are good enough to justify it 😂
You can see in your video that it’s out of round. Looks like a flat spot in the tire possibly from setting flat during shipping. Just spin it and focus your eyes on one spot and see where it’s out of round. If it’s the rim you can true the wheel but if it is the tire your SOL and you’ll need a new tire.
I bought an EKX X20. The knobby like tires were thin and kind of loud. I replaced them with Alps2Ocean tires. A little heavier so I lost 3mph top speed but they are smooth and quiet. I believe they are 60tpi so they are pretty puncture resistant. Almost went with an actual motorcycle tire for puncture resistance they they are much heavier. Good luck and stay safe.
I've been riding scooters for decades. The step through motorcycle kind. The top speed on this is right up there with a 49cc scooter. I've come to prefer electric vehicles and have been looking at electric scooters, but something like this would be more affordable. Though the wobbly wheels are a problem...
Ur tires are wobbling cuz u need to set the bead. Make sure ur tires are completely even around the rim, turn upside down pump up and push the tires down to even out the beads, along the entire rim. That will make ur tires even the whole way around ur rims
I bouth this bike a few months ago. I am an aggressive fuckin rider! I put the damn thing through thick and thin. Really pushing its limits. You touching anything past 37 miles per hour is a pipe dream as the bike caps and peaks at 37 even with the wheels lifted off the ground. The bike is rather fragile for the way it looks, and the way the bottom battery attaches to the fram is a design flaw. the screws holding the bottom battery will eventually break if the bike shakes and wobbles too much. Aggressive riding means only the top battery can be on, and i wish i knew that sooner. BUT on the flip side, the bike is extremely resilient, a very solid means of transportation with satifying accelerations. Dont push this bike beyond its off road limits and you should really enjoy having this is your garage.
If you click the button 6 times it should turn the nfc card off. I forgot exactly if it’s 6 or not but some old gentleman had a video about it. I can’t figure out how to turn off the restrictor/ governor to make it go faster though, any luck with that?
Id suggest this or a ridstar or rev1. G100 sits at 35' from the ground. Ridstar sits at 36" and then the rev1 is 34" i believe. Some have said pedal to seat height could be better when trying to use pas.
the wheel might be out of true. meaning the spokes are too tight or too loose. bike shops will usually fix that for you and the wheels should be perfectly straight again unless the tires are wonky
It sounds like it's basically an electric motorcycle, which happens to have cycling pedals. Although I notice in the video you're not actually using the pedals, and it doesn't look ergonomically ideal to have your legs asymmetrical like they have to be with bike pedals. Why don't they just put pegs on and sell it as an electric motorbike?
im 5'5" and would say im just tall enough that it's comfortable. so 5'3 would be doable, but yeah you won't be reaching the ground very easily lmao. it consistently rides at 36-38mph, i got it to touch 40 a couple times without modification. also helps that im light
@@GoHerping ive been eyeballing one on Facebook marketplace for a great price and have been unsure with the height haha. 😭 i definitely want to be able to touch the ground with my feet at least a little bit 💀
@@remitheoccultist8091I’m 5’3 and I’ve driven this model before. Ngl it’s a bit heavy and I had to start off leaning just to have a foot on the ground before pushing off but once I was riding it was smooth and fun. Even with my height and the weight of it , I’m still considering getting one for myself
